Ozi looked at the depressed looking bear infront of him and wondered if this was was the same mighty beastman he knew.
'This look does not suit him at all.' Ozi thought.
Kinnai had come to him awhile ago to compline about the strenge egg he had decided to take home with him.
He (Ozi) had not expected it to actually hache a two legged creature.
"Are you not going to say something Ozi?" kinnai asked inpatiently looking at his bird friend.
He has came seeking advice since he couldn't have the small male remain angry with him. The poor thing had not eaten anything yet and it was winter, with how cold it was he was afraid that without food to create warmth and energy the small male might die. He had to find a way to chox him so he will eat the meat he huntered.
'haa.' Ozi sighed. Looking at his friend who was starting to look idiotic to him. Did he not notice that the one he spoke of was unlike a beastman?
"Have you been looking this way in front of him all this while?" Ozi asked his friend, pointing to his beastform.
Kinnai looked at Ozi strengely after he heard the question , how was he surpozed to look like infront of the small male? He looked at his paws and then at Ozi, not seeing the problem.
The look on kinnai's face told Ozi all he needed to know. The idiot bear had not considered that the hacheling male may think of him as a mere beast and not a beastman.
Since he (Mika) did not take a beastform after he came from the egg thing till now, he may not be a beastman.
The small male came from the sky and may think of kinnai as a mere beast or something unlike himself therefore the aversion.
"Have you tired turning into your manform to speak to him? Did you ever think about how you may look to him in your current form? You and him may not be of the same kind, causing him to fear you." Ozi asked.
It didn't take long for kinnai to see were the problem was, he wasn't that dense. Although he wasn't reliable sometimes it didn't mean he couldn't come to some conclusions. But there was a small problem.
" I haven't changed out of this form for years. I have very little will to do so. "kinnai added looking lost.
It had been too long. He had wanted to stay as he was forever so he would not have to remember his pain.
Ozi waited for his conflicted friend to calm down a little then added.
" You can choose to remain in this form. but I don't think that male will want to be close to a wild beast that he fears may eat him."
'It seems so, he always backs away from me and is so vigilant against me.'
Kinnai lay back on the ground thinking about what to do. He hardly remembered how to shift now, something that should be second nature to a beastman.
" You have only told me what the little male has been doing since he hatched but you have yet to tell me what he looks like."
Ozi said. Trying to shift his friends attention, His words bring kinnai out of his mulling.
Kinnai got up from the ground and sat instead. Thinking to the looks of the small male and how to explain to Ozi.
" He has skin the color of fine and fertile earth, long hair the color of pure snow and eyes the color of the deep forest in summer. He is quite beautiful, I don't think I have seen skin like his before though . But It could also be because I have only seen my Clans men who are fair."
Kinnai said thinking about the small male's looks and comparing them to those of his Clans men which he could only vaguely remember. He shook his head as if to the sadness out of his mind and went back to recounting the looks of the small male.
" He has a small body, I have seen weak females with bigger bodies from my clan who were starved but still looked better. He is also shot." kinnai said now looking even more worried about the well-being of the small male.
"Does he speak the beast language like you?" Ozi asked.
"No, he doesn't. He speaks in a language I do not understand. I now wish I had gone out of the forest to seek other beastmen, maybe I would have heard the language he speaks." kinnai mused.
"I don't think you would know his language even if you meet other beastmen" Ozi said hopping close to his friend.
"Have you forgotten that he fell from the sky? What if he is from the beast god and his language is that of the gods? Do you think other beastmen would know it?"
Kinnai was shocked by the others words. But considering how the small male came upon the land Ozi may be right.
" You should go back and look after him, remember to turn out of your beastform. " Ozi reminded him.
