The cooked meat or at least what was left after mika's ravenous food rampage, was shared with kinnai. Due to his feelings of embarrassment, Mika had ended up feeding kinnai.
Now he just felt more embarrassed. But at least the bear liked it. It would have been better if he didn't have that annoying teasing look in his eyes.
Mika layed down on the hay nest and fell asleep shortly after since he wasn't hungry anymore and it was easy to relax.
Hungar was not something Mika had known before coming here, it was a word he knew about but associated more with wealth and power not a physiological reaction of his body due to the lack of nutrients.
The culture he grew up in was one of efficiency and being well fed, housed and clothed was part of the besics. Even the poorest households could still afford to be well fed by relying on low grade nutrient solutions. As a 3-S ger and a mech driver, he was used to taking an S grade nutrient solution a week and calling it a day since he usually had a lot to do and actual food, which the family could afford took time to eat and digest. So he usually just took a solution pack to go since he was 11, unless it was a formal occasion.
All in all, Mika did not know what hunger was but had undergone endurance training so it wasn't too difficult as the time of hunger was not too long but it was still uncomfortable.
Kinnai looked at the sleeping Mika and covered him with the soft skin which he ( kinnai) did not where the little male got from. It seems the little male was a thing of many wonders. He shifted back into his bear form and lay by the small nest to keep his small male from freezing.

Today was the final day of the level 1 mission and ten-ish day Mikael has been awake in this world.
Since the feeding incident, Mika and kinnai had gotten along well.
Since it was still a month and some to spring, Mika did not go out much and when he did it was to look around the perimeter of the cave or physiological reasons.
He and the bear now had a level of understanding, the bear would hunt and Mika with his atrocious cooking skills would cook. Anyway it was edible and both of their bodies were of top grades. A little food poisoning would not be a problem and thankfully there was non. The food was mostly meat anyway and the occasional odd fruit.
Communication was mostly figured out gestures but ok non the less and Mika even moved his nest bed next to the bear's nest.
Kinnai had gone out earlier to get water for drinking which had become a thing since Mika had taken a dip in the lukewarm small spring in the cave, which he was now using as a bath. Mika felt his face go red as he thought of the look on the bear's face as he saw him bathing in the spring and thereafter refusing to drink from it.
"Hello host, are you ready for the evaluation score." came Mahlia's voice.
"Yes, let's go. I want to know how much level 1 is better than 0." Mika said obviously in a good mood.
[ DING! - Host first mission completed ]
[ DING! - Host score evaluation complete ]
[ DING! - Host rewarded 8 points for compilation of mission]
[ DING! - Host rewarded 800 system coins for mission completion ]
[ DING! - Host can now access system store and level 1 of all functions]
[ DING! - Host is now officially level 1, congratulations on beginning your new journey ]
Mika looked at the series of notifications with a look both happy and apprehensive. The systems last notice seems to say he was stuck here and would have to adapt to a new life, but was he ready?
"Hey system, before we move forward to other things, do you have a name?" Mika asked this with a little bit of guilt. It had not crossed his mind for so long to ask the system about itself even when he knew she was sentient, he felt ashamed.
Mahlia was also shocked at the sudden question and was silent of a few moments. She was happy her master was changing but worried about if these changes would stay after his memories returned.
' Anyway, we must leave the future to the future. ' Mahlia thought.
As Mika was about to pop with anxiety from the systems silence, he got an answer.
"Mahlia. My name is Mahlia, the black rose of midnight."
