Uraume watched closely as Jin fought relentlessly with Shrine, dismantling the Zenin Clan with incredible ease.
'This is why Kenjaku wanted me to come with him. I see, I see! So this is what comes after Yuji Itadori! Sukuna-sama's true vessel! To think that Kenjaku would train up a proper vessel himself!'
She became more ecstatic and restless the more she thought about it. How could Sukuna's new vessel be in front of her this whole time and she didn't figure it out before?
She had to do something about this failure to her master.
That's when a certain realization hit her.
"What am I doing sitting here when Sukuna-sama's vessel could be damaged? But...dammit!"
She still had to maintain the barrier around the clan. The task was too important for her to just leave it alone.
"Tch! Don't damage Sukuna-sama's vessel, Jin!"
Unbeknownst to her though, Jin's plans were much different to what she had in mind.
The Zenin Clan members were in ruins as most of them were either dead or dismembered. Only the strong remained standing.
So, of course, that meant only Jin and Naoya were standing face to face with each other.
Naobito had lost both arms and he was in critical condition.
Ogi fared no better. He had lost all his limbs and half of his body had been torn into pieces.
Somehow, Naoya had managed to retain all of his limbs, but his body was bleeding profusely.
The Zenin Clan was now on the verge of complete destruction.
"Jin Itadori! What is your purpose?! What is your goal?!"
Naoya was exasperated. In all his life he had never faced such overwhelming opposition. He was sure that even Gojo couldn't push him this far.
"As I said before, I wanted to test your philosophy..."
Jin walked forward and grabbed an arm that was laying on the ground, looking at Naoya as he continued, "So, i decided to see what you all are made of. As expected, most of you are weak but..."
The arm disintegrated into bloody pieces in his palm as he walked toward Naoya, stopping right in front of his face.
"You...you have potential."
Raising his voice to a loud yell, he continued, "You Zenin have always lived by the code of 'Might Is Right. The strongest rule and the weak submit.' I have proven that none of you can stand against me. Then, if any of you stand by your word, you will bow."
The remainders, which was about 40% of the clan, collectively gripped their blades in anger and despair as they heard his words. No matter how destroyed or torn apart their bodies were, they stood up.
Jin had damaged their pride.
He had to pay.
With their pride on the line, the Zenin's found hidden strength lying within themselves as they charged head first at Jin, their blood boiling with righteous anger.
Even Naoya took part in the attack, his dagger flying towards Jin's neck with incredible speed.
A wide, almost ravenous smile appeared on his face as he saw this.
"Yes! This is how it should be! Come at me with everything you've got! Until nothing remains! I will show you what it means to be the strongest!"
Jin's calm, almost stoic demeanor was now replaced by such maniacal behavior that some might wonder if this was the same person.
He saw everything around him as if it was slow motion.
The crazed warriors of the Zenin, the knife coming from Naoya's sleeves, the cursed techniques of the remaining upper echelon of the clan, everything was within view.
This was it. If he failed to stop everything now, he wasn't even sure he could survive such a vicious onslaught.
Battle was everchanging, life could be lost at anytime. It was a place where certain mistakes could not be made, else consequences could be dire.
"Domain Expansion..."
But it was in battle, that warmongers like Jin thrived.
In a gruesome display, Jin grabbed his face and ripped the flesh off of it, revealing an ever changing fleshy visage made of blood.
"Lord Of Hunger."
WHOOSHHHHH!!!!
A dark barrier formed around the courtyard, capturing every member of the clan within its powerful maws.
Upon Jin's face, his blood quickly formed into the faces of every body or soul he had taken over, eventually stopping upon one particularly terrifying face.
In reality, it wasn't even a face. Upon closer inspection, it was a mask. A white mask with red lines that had no mouth or nose, just two gaping eyeholes devoid of all light or life.
This all took place in one second.
Naoya, being a special grade 1 sorcerer, immediately used Falling Blossom Emotion the moment he felt Jin using a Domain Expansion.
This quick reaction time afforded him a moment of respite amidst the overwhelming nature of the Domain.
"What is...."
But, while it saved him from the immediate effect of the Sure-Hit Technique, he saw the completed form of the domain.
It was a domain filled with so much darkness that nothing else but a misty, red haze existed. No sound, no light, no wind, nothing.
Even though Naoya had an anti-domain technique activated, he could not even hear his own heartbeat, everything was void.
The only thing that existed in the middle of the space was a figure covered dark robes equipped with a terrifying mask.
Unfortunately, by this time, Naoya's luck was about to run out.
The moment he laid eyes on the figure in black, his simple domain started turning into nothingness as the Sure-Hit devoured it with no hesitation.
Within milliseconds, Naoya was defenseless as whatever vile technique the Sure-Hit comprised itself of was going to hit him.
No matter how many simulations Naoya ran through his mind, he couldn't think of a way to get out of this situation alive.
'This is the end!'
CRACK!
Just as Naoya was about to die, he suddenly saw the domain fade away into shards, revealing the courtyard of the Zenin Clan.
"Just joking."
Jin's voice suddenly assailed his ear as he saw the man standing in front of him, arms folded with a small smile on his face.
Jin crouched down in front of Naoya, put one hand on his shoulder and said in an eerily calm tone, "Take it easy, comrade. You survived in my domain. You did well."
Comrade?
Naoya flinched as he heard that.
What could Jin be talking about?
"Oh, you haven't noticed? Look around...you're the only one left. That means out of all the Zenin...you're the strongest. That makes us comrades."
As Naoya scanned his surroundings, he realized Jin was right. He really was the only one left out of all the Zenin sorcerers present.
Nothing remained, not even a trace of their former existence.
All was lost to the Lord Of Hunger.
Tapping Naoya on the shoulder, Jin said, "Pick yourself up. To a man of your talents, I know the rest of these weaklings meant nothing. Follow your heart, follow me, and you will raise yourself to new heights. Even Satoru Gojo wouldn't be able to compare."
Hearing the name of the Satoru Gojo caused Naoya's thoughts to run wild, imagining a world where even a Six Eyes user couldn't stop him.
Imagining a world where even Jin couldn't stop him. Where he took the Zenin name to heights that even Toji couldn't reach.
And all he had to do was join and learn from Jin Itadori.
The more he thought about it, the more it seemed like a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Naoya stumbled up from his stupor as his signature smile reappeared upon his face.
"Then, Jin Itadori, I'll join you! Show me what it means to be the strongest!"
Jin laughed as he heard this. Everything was going to plan.
With his hands in his pockets, Jin turned around, Naoya in tow, and said, "Then, lets show them what the word "Power" means."
