Chapter 20 - Discipline.

Mahito fell to his knees with his eyes closed as Jin sent his two opponents flying.

"Hm?"

Jin glanced back at him with his eyebrows raised, surprised at this development.

'He seems to be...meditating. Has he grasped a new concept to advance his sorcery? He doesn't look that injured...wait, injured? He shouldn't be injured unless..."

Jin looked at Yuji and Nanami, inspecting both with his Six Eyes. At first glance, Jin could tell that it wasn't Nanami that injured Mahito.

He was too weak, his sorcery skill wasn't anything special as a first grade. Moreover, if he was the one who had injured Mahito, the latter's injuries would have been different.

'No, he was injured by blunt blows...so, just straight punches. Yuji, to think you could come so far, so fast. Already able to perceive the soul eh?'

BOOM!

Yuji punched through the wall and charged at Jin with relentless ferocity, his cursed energy flowing over him.

Jin didn't back down.

With the little cursed energy he had, Jin charged right back at Yuji and clashed with him, fist to fist.

About half of a second later, Jin felt another impact hit his fist even though Yuji was still in contact.

'A double impact...? Hm.'

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The two started going blow for blow at each other, clashing fists over and over again. Of course, Jin was weakened and also holding back at this time.

When it came to Yuji, he couldn't kill him, not yet at least. He wanted him to be stronger, he wanted to see how far Yuji could push that impressive body of his.

And when Yuji was at his highest, that's when he would bring him down. Or, when the right opportunity presented itself.

What did Yuji do to deserve this, some may ask?

Nothing. He just happened to be in the lens of a being who liked to play with his food. An unfortunate fate.

Not to mention...Sukuna was within him.

The strongest sorcerer in history.

A title so grandiose that Jin had to face the monster that held it.

But just like Yuji, Jin wanted him at his strongest too. He planned to only face him when he was at full power...20-finger Sukuna.

Otherwise, he couldn't say he defeated him.

Continuously feeling the double impacts of Yuji's punches, Jin started to catch on to what was going on.

Breaking the punch clash by side stepping Yuji's punch, Jin closed in and started hammering the boys abdomen with blinding strikes, causing blood and teeth to emerge from his mouth.

"Is this all you have?"

Yuji quickly recovered and attempted to land a Manji kick on Jin, which the latter easily deflected.

"Too many unnecessary moves."

Jin quickly closed in and grabbed Yuji by both arms, flipping him over on his face.

BOOM! BANG! BOOM!

Using one leg to restrain both Yuji's arms behind his back, Jin smirked as he stomped on the back of Yuji's head with his other leg, each one sounding like a piston.

The ground fissured and ruptured as Yuji's head was forced deeper into it with each stomp.

"As a warrior, aren't you ashamed of having your opponent do this to you? You have no control over your own body, your back is vulnerable and your head is in the ground. Try to recover, boy."

Being the physical powerhouse that he was, Yuji struggled to break free. But every time he raised his head...

BOOM!

Jin stomped it into the ground again.

"Pitiful. How was Mahito defeated by a runt like you?"

Noticing that Yuji stopped moving, Jin stepped off of his body and picked him up by his hair.

Holding Yuji's limp body in the air as if he was a piece of cardboard, Jin said, "You're wasting your potential hanging around with these weaklings. You can be stronger, but your ties to these sorcerer's have become a shackle to you. Tch."

Jin let go of Yuji's body and in the same motion, slapped him across the face, sending him flying towards Nanami who was just struggling to get up.

"Wake up! A warrior doesn't stop fighting until his body and spirit are destroyed!"

The more Jin saw Yuji's wasted potential, the more annoyed he got. But he knew that soon enough, he would be the one to showcase the full potential the boy had within himself.

Just as Jin was about to rush Nanami down, he heard a certain voice behind him.

"Domain Expansion..."

A multitude of black hands started appearing around them, causing Jin and the sorcerer's to frantically dodge them.

BZZT!

Using lightning to enhance his speed, Jin quickly moved out of the range of Mahito's domain with a blur.

'A domain! Mahito has gotten stronger again. This guy...is the definition of talent.'

Usually, he would've killed someone who tried to deploy a domain against him like that, especially an ally, but Mahito was a special case.

He could tell that Mahito expected him to easily escape from the small smile of approval the former gave him just before the domain barrier formed.

Unfortunately for the sorcerers though, they both got caught.

"If that boy didn't have Sukuna within him, I would've saved him, but...I think Mahito is in for a rude awakening. I wonder how he'll take this loss."

Just as Jin said, about ten seconds later, the barrier of the domain started to crack, revealing Mahito bleeding profusely while panting heavily on his knees.

"Jin Itadori!"

Mahito shouted Jin's name randomly, seemingly calling him to save him, but on a deeper inspection, Jin understood what he truly doing.

Yuji's eyes widened in shock as he heard this name and turned towards Jin.

"You're J-jin Itadori...?"

WHOOSH!

The moment Nanami heard this name, he immediately rushed forward, grabbed Yuji by the shoulder and threw him back, shouting, "Run, Itadori! I'll hold him off!"

Nanami's command had no effect though. Yuji just stood there, staring at Jin as memories flashed through his mind.

All the prejudice he faced and was still facing as the son of Jin Itadori, a curse user that had killed countless sorcerer's. Including his friend Inumaki.

All of this while still being Sukuna's vessel.

If Gojo wasn't alive, he was sure that the higher-ups would immediately have him executed.

In fact, before he even joined the sorcerers, they had tracked him down and had pointed him out as being Jin Itadori's son as it was registered in Government records.

The fact that he was still accepted after all of that was a miracle in and of itself.

The anger he felt from losing Junpei, seeing Inumaki's killer in front of him, it sent him into a type of rage that could only be described as primal.

That's when he noticed something. Frankly, it was something that he should have noticed the moment he saw Jin.

"Wait...a minute. That body...that face. You took Inumaki-san's body...didn't you?"

Now that Yuji had brought it up, Nanami also took a closer look and immediately realized that he was right.

The seal on his mouth, the white hair, while the shape of his face was different because this version of Inumaki was older, it was still recognizable.

Nanami clicked his tongue and tightened his grip on his weapon when this realization hit him.

Now he truly understood how terrible of an opponent Jin was.

"You sick bastard!!! AARGGHH!!"

Yuji raged and roared as he rushed Jin with amazing speed, closing the gap between them.

BOOM! BANG! BOOM!

Without warning, Yuji started peppering Jin with punch after punch, each of them laden with as much power as he could muster.

Jin simply blocked with one hand and the other in his pocket. Even though the force of Yuji's punches were pushing him back, they didn't cause any real damage.

"Indeed. I am Toge Inumaki. But I'm also Jin Itadori. Your father. So as a father, I will teach you how to defend yourself. First rule of battle..."

Jin easily broke through Yuji's flurry of attacks by deflecting the blows with his elbows, breaking the boys fingers with each impact.

"Stay calm and focused. Do not waste your energy fighting in a blind rage."

Jin delivered a vicious punch to Yuji's abdomen and twisted his fist within it at the moment of impact, magnifying the pain Yuji felt coursing through his body.

That wasn't the end though.

About a millisecond later, Yuji felt two more impacts hitting him of equal force of the first attack, causing his body to go into shock from the excruciating pain.

If Yuji was still cognizant enough to recognize what just happened, he would've realized that Jin had just replicated his Divergent Fist technique and even added an extra delayed impact to the first one.

Nanami jumped in with his tie wrapped his fist as he swung at Jin, muttering, "Collapse."

Jin blocked the blow with his elbow but he was still sent flying back through a wall, which surprised him greatly.

Nanami quickly ran to Itadori, picked him up and tried to escape, but...

BZZT!

With a swift burst of speed, Jin arrived in front of Nanami with both fingers coated in lightning, forming a lance which pierced Nanami's chest.

"Rule number two. This is for both of you. Never turn your back on your opponent."
