After leaving the Syndicate and Akizawa as the 'boss', Jin inquired about the ways to travel the country from him.
So, fast forward a few hours after the defeat of the 'Q' operative, Jin was on the earliest bullet train to Tokyo, capital of Japan.
As he sat at the seat closest to the window, enjoying the scenery, he thought about what his plan was for when he entered the city.
'As much as I want to go find the rest of the guys from 'Q', I have a feeling I'll be disappointed. So instead, I need to find the strongest sorcerers around. I wouldn't be surprised if they're located in the capital of this country. Even if I'm wrong, I'm sure other sorcerers exist there. I could easily solve the issue by interrogating them.'
By the time Jin got to Tokyo City, it was already 9pm. But the city was still active and filled with people.
Sendai couldn't even begin to compare.
"This really is the capital huh?"
Jin walked through the streets of Tokyo City, katana wrapped in a black cloth on his waist, taking in the sights. Sometimes he felt as if he was just a tourist while walking around these worlds.
'As expected, cursed spirits are rampant here. Most of them within the crowds are small and probably just inflict minor curses, but I can sense some stronger ones lurking in the shadows.'
Jin spent a lot of time walking around the city, exploring its sights, seeing the culture and most importantly hunting for sorcerers.
That night, he had already located two of them. They were together and blended in so well with the crowd that you couldn't even tell that they were the bearers of inhuman powers.
One of them was a blonde male, tall, and carried a sharp, stern, look on his face. His
The other was in complete contrast to the first. Brown hair, short, had large round eyes and a wide smile on his face.
With the way they moved and carried themselves, they seemed to be a team.
Jin sat on a bench and watched them from across the street behind his round, dark lensed glasses.
'Hm, identical uniforms. That guy from Q wore a uniform too, but a different one. Is that what the sorcerer organizations do here?'
Jin continued to watch them as they walked and suddenly turned into an alleyway, disappearing from his sight.
'Hm. I wonder if they noticed me. If they did, this looks like a blatant trap. Tch, I'll bite.'
Jin got up, crossed the street and entered the alleyway, only to find the two sorcerers standing there, waiting for him.
Jin calmly walked in and stood a couple feet away from them, hands in his pockets.
The full moon shone brightly in the sky as the three men stood there, ready for anything to happen.
The blonde man was the first one to speak after drawing a strange butcher's knife from under his uniform.
"A curse user huh? What do you want? Speak. Now."
Before Jin could answer the other sorcerer chimed in, saying, "It's obvious this one is trouble. The way he had his cursed energy locked on to us you would think he was trying to kill us on sight. Whew...I don't think even Geto's cursed energy feels this dark."
Jin smirked as he raised his hands up innocently.
"Well, you got me. It's not like I was trying to hide anyways. I was just looking for other sorcerers so they can answer a certain question for me."
The two of them got into a fighting stance immediately, ready for whatever tricks Jin was preparing to throw at them. The world of Jujutsu was vast and the techniques that existed, likewise.
So there was no telling what a rogue curse user could do.
"Take it easy. All I'm asking is this: Who's the strongest sorcerer alive?"
The younger man with brown hair raised an eyebrow a bit at this comment. Wasn't this general information among all sorcerers?
"Satoru Gojo. Who doesn't know that? If he wasn't busy right now, he would've found you before you found him."
Jin thought for a moment as he received his information.
'Satoru Gojo huh? So he's the one I should find. From the way they're freely speaking about him, it seems they're not worried about me finding him. So he's that strong eh...?'
From here, Jin could figure out the rest of the information he needed.
This man, Gojo, was likely very active around this area.
So if he stuck around and made enough noise, he would eventually find Gojo, or as they said, Gojo would eventually find him.
With this information, he was done with them for now.
"I see. Then, I'll go find him myself."
As Jin turned around, preparing to leave, he suddenly saw a dome being erected overhead for about a couple hundred meters out.
From the way it was set up, it seemed to be some sort of barrier.
Then, the voice of the blonde man reached his ear.
"That doesn't mean that you are free to go. Its clear that your intentions are sinister."
Jin stopped and turned back to them, his eyes locked onto theirs.
"Are you sure? You might regret it."
The blonde man narrowed his eyes as he looked at Jin. He could tell that something was off with him, but he couldn't tell what it was.
"Nanami! Don't let the nature of his cursed energy throw you off! He's just a trickster!"
Hearing the voice of his partner, Nanami took a deep breath and started walking towards Jin, weapon drawn.
"Right, Haibara. But be careful, there's something off about him. I won'tbm be surprised if he's a damn cursed spirit in disguise."
Haibara grinned as he walked in tandem with Nanami, both of them ready for action.
Jin laid his katana on a wall beside him and clenched his fists, taking a fighting stance.
"Then, I will give you both a beating to remember."
BZZT!
A purple light flashed as Jin suddenly appeared in front of Haibara, his fist already flying towards his face.
CLANG!
Nanami somehow had reacted to Jin's movements as he too appeared in front of Haibara, blocking Jin's punch with his knife.
Jin was sent hurtling back from the impact, his eyes narrowed on his bleeding knuckle.
'That was strange. He couldn't have built enough momentum to strike me that hard from that angle. Was it a cursed technique?'
Nanami and Haibara were in no better shape. Both of them were sent skating back from the force of Jin's punch, with Nanami feeling like his shoulder had been dislocated from the clash.
"His physical power...is abnormal. Be careful, Haibara."
Haibara's grin left his face after this initial exchange. He realized that if it wasn't for Nanami's timely intervention, he wouldn't have even realized when he got hit.
Jin rolled up his sleeves on his black shirt as lightning lightly crackled around his fists.
The real battle was about to start.
BZZT!
In a flash, the battle kicked off.
Jin and Nanami traded blows constantly, with Haibara sneaking in to attack what he thought to be Jin's blind spots.
Jin's blows were like raging pistons, making them extra careful when engaging him.
Unfortunately, he had a long way to go before he could catch up to Jin in terms of fighting ability.
In one of the moments he believed that he was catching Jin off guard, the latter kicked Nanami away as he suddenly turned around, grabbed him by the face and slammed him head first into the ground, causing it to fissure.
But he wasn't done.
BZZT!
"AGHHHHH!!"
Screams erupted as Jin channeled lightning into his palms, electrocuting Haibara with no mercy.
Nanami was shocked. Was Jin always that fast? He thought he had a handle on his speed, but he seemed to be hiding his true ability.
But, he couldn't think about that now. His friend was in dire straits.
"Haibara!!"
Nanami rushed in, his cursed energy surging to the maximum as he struck at Jin with his weapon.
"You know what I love about lightning?"
The knife got closer and closer to Jin as he slightly glanced at the attack coming his way.
"It just never stops spreading."
BOOM!
The lightning that was mercilessly torturing Haibara suddenly chained to Nanami with incredible speed, sending him back with a loud explosion.
Before he could recover, Jin got up extended one hand at Haibara and the other at Nanami, continously channeling the vicious lightning at both of them.
Nanami tried his best not to shout from the pain as he tried to move, but the lightning was just too strong.
Their muscles spasmed and one could see their skeletal structures flashing as the lightning submerged them in the type of pain that transcended the body.
"Ah...this brings back memories."
Jin smiled as he intensified the lightning emitting from his fingertips, his orange eyes glowing in delight from the feeling of seemingly unlimited power at his command.
"Hm, I think you've had enough."
Jin stopped as looked at the physical state of his victims.
"AGHHHHHH!!!"
Even though the lightning stopped, Haibara still felt as if he was still being electrocuted.
Tiny arcs of lightning could be seen occasionally appearing around his body as he hid his disfigured face and curled up in a ball, praying that the pain would be over.
Nanami was in a much better state, but his body was still unable to move for a while.
Right now, they were like fish on a chopping board.
Jin could kill them at anytime.
But...
Jin casually sauntered back to his katana and threw it over his shoulder as he started leaving the area.
Gojo was his main priority now.
"You two, you're weak. But you can be better. Consider this your first and last warning. Get stronger, and come find me. I only enjoy killing the strong. The next time we meet, we will finish this battle. Heh, for now, you boys have a good night."
With those parting words, Jin left on his search for Gojo Satoru, the strongest sorcerer alive.
