Chapter 6 - Meeting Of The Strongest.(2)

After defeating Nanami and Haibara, Jin spent the rest of his time jumping across rooftops, scanning the city for any abnormally large cursed energy signatures.

While he did find some interesting cursed spirits, he left them alone, for now.

Satoru Gojo was his only target.

Time passed slowly as Jin moved around Tokyo City, following every lead he could until he found his target.

It wasn't until the afternoon of the next day that Jin finally found a real lead on Gojo.

Well, it was more than that.

He was sure that he had found the man himself.

"That immense cursed energy is...heh, well, it's what I would expect from the strongest sorcerer. Especially from that fluctuation I just sensed. He must've just used a technique."

Jin saw a white haired teen floating in the sky with torn and bloodied clothing as if he was in a state of euphoria.

But even then though his clothing was in tatters, Jin could tell that it was the same uniform the last two sorcerers wore.

"It has to be him."

Jin slowly walked up to the scene of destruction laid before him.

Destroyed buildings, upheaved earth, ruptured water lines, it was quite the scene.

That's when he spotted the body of man laying on the ground, with blood flowing out of it profusely.

The moment Jin laid eyes on the man he stopped.

"...no cursed energy? But the way his body is built, it's...perfect. Superhuman. Looks like I made the wrong decision when I first got here. Heh..."

Jin burst out in a fit of laughter when this opportunity presented itself in front of him.

'Found my Plan B.'

Jin glanced away from the man on the ground and back at who he presumed to be Gojo, who was now floating above him.

Jin didn't say a word as he looked at the sorcerer, a small smile still on his face. The grip on his sword tightened, causing a tiny arc of lightning to travel across it.

'But this is my main prize. This one is strong. It has to be him!'

Jin was getting excited at the prospect of battling someone of this level. Since he had been here, he hadn't been truly tested, truly pushed to reveal all of his cards.

"You're...odd. Who are you?"

The voice of the sorcerer reached his ears, causing even more excitement to bubble up within him. In this prospect, Jin was like a child at the amusement park, eagerly anticipating the thrill of his favorite ride.

Lightning surged around his body and blade as the cloth fell off, revealing the katana, sheathed in lightning.

"Jin. Satoru Gojo?"

This time, a small smile appeared on the teens face.

"Just the man you're looking for."

BOOM!

The moment those words left Gojo's mouth, Jin attacked with lightning surrounding his body, thunder erupting from his blade and power ravaging throughout his body.

The blade mysteriously stopped before it even got to Gojo, causing Jin to raise an eyebrow.

But he didn't stop, Jin threw away his sheathe, grasped the blade with two hands and erupted with an innumerable amount of strikes from every known angle across Gojo's body.

The sound of blasting thunder sounded all throughout the area with every movement.

Whatever Gojo's cursed technique was stopped most of Jin's attacks but Gojo took note to dodge some of them.

As an experienced fighter, this was what Jin focused on right away.

"That cursed technique can't block everything can it? Then let's see how far it goes!"

More lightning erupted out of Jin's body, causing the rocks around to levitate from the amount of current flowing through the area.

But Gojo seemed unfazed.

He slightly raised three fingers up as Jin's sword was slashing down at him and a red orb appeared over it.

'Reverse Cursed Technique: Red.'

Instantaneously, the orb hit Jin in his chest, sending him flying through the remaining nearby buildings with incredible force.

"That can't be all. If it is, then you're weak."

Gojo spat these words out at Jin, who at this point he had expected to be heavily injured from taking his attack head on.

But he was wrong.

WHOOSH!

Jin almost immediately reappeared from the cloud of smoke surrounding the devastation, with a trail of blood running down his mouth.

"Then you would be mistaken."

Electricity sparked around a small knife that laid next to the dead man's body, causing it to fly into Jin's empty arm.

'Something's not right about him. Red should've done more damage. Hm...'

Jin ripped his shirt and tied pieces of it around both fists so his weapons won't fall out of it.

"Now, the real battle begins."

BOOM!

Jin erupted at Gojo with endless lightning flowing behind him, his weapons crackling furiously as they struck down at the sorcerer.

Gojo dodged and struck back with an incredibly fast punch, but Jin returned the favor by easily dodging.

'He never dodged a head on strike from me before! I knew it! That man must've had a way to break his shield. So it was this knife!'

A crazed smile appeared on Jin's face as the lightning surging across the area increased dramatically, prompting Gojo to finally take notice.

As he dodged Jin's strikes, he noticed that his opponent wasn't even allowing him to form a hand sign before his next attack came.

That wasn't the only thing he had to overcome.

For some reason, Jin's cursed energy output was enormous. From the way he fought it was like he wasn't worried about running out of it.

But Gojo wasn't worried about it. When it comes to cursed energy efficiency, he was unmatched.

WHOOSH!!

The two of them clashed as they exchanged strikes, rupturing the earth around them.

Lightning and thunder ravaged the area as they fought.

Everytime Jin would break through his barrier with the small knife, Gojo would immediately deflect the blow and strike back with extreme power.

So far, Jin had yet to land a blow on Gojo. His defense was incredible.

But Jin couldn't say the same. If he hadn't managed to lock down Gojo's stronger attacks for the time being, who knew how much more damage he would have taken.

'His defense is terrifying.'

As time went on, Gojo's ability to dodge his attacks only got better. It was like he had started to read Jin's movements before they even occured.

'His offense is remarkable. What a crazy cursed technique.'

It had gotten to the point where Jin's lightning enhanced speed was barely any use.

Gojo had him read like a book.

No matter how many sword strikes Jin sent out, Gojo would dodge or block all of them with his cursed technique.

And just when Jin was thinking about changing up his strategy, the worst case scenario happened.

Masked between one of his strikes, Gojo managed to make a hand sign by putting three fingers together, bringing all of Jin's efforts to naught immediately.

'Hollow Purple.'

BOOOMM!!

Before Jin could even react, the attack hit him, shrouding him in a ball of purple annihilation.

Jin could feel his entire body being torn apart by the attack, atom by atom.

No matter how much lightning he released, it would immediately be swallowed up by the immense destructive power of the Hollow Purple.

It seemed as if there was no escape.

Gojo was just too strong.

In fact, the moment the attack hit Jin, he was sure of his victory. Surviving this technique as he did RCT: Red was impossible.

"I guess that was all he had."

Jin fought desperately to fight off the energy consuming his entire being, but nothing seemed to be working.

Could this be the end?

Eventually, the technique fizzled out and Jin could no longer be found. His body seemed to have been eviscerated.

Jin couldn't even bring Gojo down to the ground in this fight.

All of his efforts were in vain.

Or were they?

Just as Gojo was about to leave, he heard the sound of movement.

"...what?"

Gojo glanced back to see Jin standing there, shirtless, weapons turned to ash, heavily scarred, breathing heavily with his hands crossed over his face.

"Hah...Hah...bet you didn't count on me surviving that huh?"

A wide smile was still on Jin's face as he stood there panting, staring at his opponent.

His orange eyes never lost their bright glow from the start.

At that moment, something had awoken within him. All these years he could feel as if he was on the cusp of grasping something, but no one could push him enough for it to matter, until today.

It was then that he understood the true nature of his own cursed techniques, or well, technique. There were never two.

His 'second' one was never 'Limited Telekinesis', something that he thought was borderline useless in most fights. It was so useless that other people couldn't even be affected with it.

But he should've known better.

His real technique had been responsible for almost everything strange that happened from the beginning.

His absurd physical strength that he thought was part of the original Jin's body.

His crazy durability.

Explosive cursed energy output.

This body was completely human before Jin inhabited it and he changed it the moment he possessed it without even knowing.

'Something's off with him.'

Gojo could feel the shift in Jin's energy. Moreover, he could see it.

All of the lightning that was coursing through and around his body had stopped.

Only pure cursed energy remained.

What could it mean?

And it still didn't explain how hollow purple and red didn't do more damage to him.

Jin regained his breath and clenched his fists once again as he looked at Gojo.

"If I had known that this was the power I possess, I would've dragged you down from your little hole in the sky already."

Jin took one step towards Gojo, causing what seemed to be...fire to erupt from his body.

But it was more than that.

Jin had started converting his cursed energy into nuclear energy, producing it like a generator.

BOOM!

He stomped down on the ground and got into a fighting stance, his highly explosive energy barely containing itself within his body.

"Prepare yourself, Gojo."
