Momo's heart hammered in her chest as she wearily watched the bustling nest of dread beasts. She couldn't help but flinch everytime one of the massive insects turned in her direction, constantly clicking their mandibles and waving their antenna through the air. It was a miracle she and Tsu were still alive.

Thinking of her classmate Momo glanced over at Tsu who had been knocked unconscious when they had been taken. It had all happened so fast, but Momo couldn't help but lament her failure to react to the situation.

'I wonder what happened to Tetsutetsu,' Mono thought anxiously before shaking her head, 'As cruel as it sounds worrying about him won't do me any good, I need to figure a way to get out of here.'

For the thousandth time Momo tried to move any part of her body, but the thick amber-like substance that encased her prevented any movement. And without an inch of skin exposed below her neck Momo couldn't activate her quirk.

Trying to squash the feeling of helpless she was feeling Momo let out a frustrated sigh only for Tsu to answer it with a pained groan and Momo looked over just in time to see her friend's eyes flicker open.

"Tsu you're awake!"

"Momo?" Tsu asked groggily, her eyes hazy and unfocused, "W-what happened…where are we?"

"We're trapped, but don't worry I'm going to get us out of here," Momo replied as she tried to infuse some confidence into her words, "Are you alright?"

Tsu nodded after a second, "I'll be fine in a minute, where's Tetsutetsu?"

Momo shook her head and glanced away from Tsu, "I-I don't know, hopefully he's okay. But before we can worry about anyone else we need to get out of here."

"Agreed," Tsu replied as some clarity returned to her eyes, "I think I might be able to break out of this stuff, but if I do that we'll probably attract the whole nest."

"I might have a way to prevent that," Momo offered hesitantly, "I memorized the chemical formulas for all kinds of Dread Beast repellants, though I don't know how they'll react to it. They could decide we're a threat and kill us to get rid of the smell."

Tsu was silent for a moment before she responded, "I trust you Momo."

Momo blinked not expecting the blind trust of her classmate and she let out a tension filled sigh, "Okay then, here it goes."

Closing her eyes in concentration, Momo browsed through the mental encyclopedias in her mind filled with molecular structures and formulas before she found what she was looking for.

A second later thick plumes of white smoke the same color as strawberry lemonade started pouring off of Momo. The gaseous cloud expanded quickly and Tsu watched as the ants in the cavern suddenly went from wandering around aimlessly to standing straight at attention.

For a moment Tsu worried if Momo's precaution had been right before as one, the ants turned and started to pour out of the cavern, with some even digging through the walls to escape the expanding pink cloud.

"Momo, it's working, they're all leaving!" Tsu exclaimed before flexing her legs.

Opening her eyes Momo looked over just in time to see the amber encasing Tsu shatter into a thousand pieces as the muscles in her thighs flexed like braided ropes.

Momo felt her hopes soar, as Tsu shook off the remaining clumps of amber stuck to her skin, 'We might just get out of here alive!'

Just as the thought crossed her mind the cavern wall across from them exploded, tearing a massive hole in the earth and sending a shower of rubble flying into the air. But within the debris were four humanoid shadows hidden by the fine cloud of dust that had been sent flying into the air.

"Bakugo you son of a bitch, once we kill this thing I'm going to tear you apart!"

"Don't think just because you evolved you can stand shoulder to shoulder with me!"

"Guys we have bigger problems at the moment!"

"Speak of…here it comes!"

Momo and Tsu both blinked as four distinct voices echoed from the newly blasted hole, one of them in particular sounding very familiar. But all of that was forgotten as a massive form peered over the lip of the crater.

About three times the size of every other ant Momo had seen previously, the creature's carapace was bright red and covered in a myriad of sharp spikes with bands of glowing blue cartilage running down its body.

"What is that?!" Tsu hissed as she stared at the dread beast which crawled out of the crater revealing its body the length of a small passenger jet.

"I think we just got our first look at one of the soldier ants," Momo replied darkly, as the creature gnashed its mandibles together which were far more bulky and seemed more suited for crushing things then cutting.

As the dust settled Momo's eyes widened as she spotted Bakugo, Tetsutetsu, Honenuki, and Kenji standing on the cavern floor staring up at the creature.

Then as if feeling her eyes on his back Kenji glanced over and his glowing fracture eyes made contact with Momo, "Ain't no fucking way."

"What, what's going on?" Honenuki asked as he followed Kenji's gaze only for a broad smile to stretch across his face, "Momo, Tsu we found you guys!"

Before the situation could continue the soldier let out a chattering roar as it scrambled out of the crater and onto the floor before breaking out into a charge, its compound eyes seemingly fixated on the tiny humans standing in front of it.

"I'm going to help the girls you have fun with that guy," Honenuki shouted before he dove into the ground without another word.

Bakugo whipped around and his eyes bulged at the now empty space that Honenuki once occupied, "Are you kidding me?!"

"It might be a cowardly move but it's the right one, now eyes front and center," Kenji shouted trying to get everyone to focus on the bigger threat, mainly the giant ready to crush them to pieces.
