Tetsutetsu watched on with a wary look on his face as the small mountain of monster corpses sunk into Kenji's shadow, "Why exactly did you do that again?"

"Makes my quirk stronger," Kenji replied as he pulled back his hood with a relieved sigh, "Now which way did the Dread Beasts take Asui and Momo?"

Tetsutetsu looked around the cavern before scratching his head in frustration, "It all happened so fast…maybe that way?"

Kenji clicked his tongue, "We can't waste time looking around and hoping we stumble across them, though it's not like I have a better plan."

As the two of them stood there in silence trying to think of a plan the ground behind them rippled as a lone figure rose from the earth like he was stepping out of a pool, "Kenji, Tetsutetsu I can't believe I found you guys!"

Juzo Honenuki's shout of joy was shut off as the two people he addressed spun around quirk blazing and ready to fight. Raising his hands in surrender a bead of sweat rolled down the side of Honenuki's face, "A-are you guys alright?"

Kenji let out a relieved sigh and he returned his chain to its resting spot around his arm, "Yeah, sorry about that, we just finished a pretty intense fight."

Honenuki blinked and he looked around at the empty cavern, "Against each other?"

"It doesn't matter," Tetsutetsu interrupted as he stepped forward, "Honenuki, Asui and Momo were taken by the damn ants, we need your quirk to find them!"

A grave look passed across Honenuki's face, "I know, that's why I came looking for you guys. I know where they are."

"Then what are we doing just standing around here?!" Tetsutetsu screamed as he shook his fist in the air.

Kenji placed a calming hand on Tetsutetsu's shoulder, "I think Honenuki would have rescued Asui and Momo himself if things were that simple. Am I right?"

Honenuki nodded as Kenji glanced at him, "After we all fell I was attacked by those ants that you mentioned, luckily my quirk makes me pretty good at escaping. After searching around, I came across something I wish I hadn't'

"Just get to the point already," Tetsutetsu growled impatiently.

"I found the ant's nest," Honenuki answered abruptly, "It is infested with hundreds of them, I don't know how I managed to get out of there undiscovered. But by some miracle I did see Asui and Momo…they were webbed up in something…I think they were being treated as food."

Tetsutetsu's face fell, "They're planning on eating them? That's not good."

"Only if we leave them there long enough to get eaten," Kenji corrected, "Honenuki how quickly could we get there?"

"I don't think you can," Honenuki answered hesitantly, "It's about fifty feet below us, and last I checked neither of you guys can swim through solid stone."

Kenji waved aside Honenuki's concerns, "As long as you know where, then we can get to it, I already have a plan in mind. What we need to consider is just how exactly we're going to get Asui and Momo out. It needs to be well thought out, carefully executed and above all else we don't want to piss off the entire nest so as little noise as possible-"

Before Kenji could finish his sentence a muffled boom went off beneath their feet and Kenji felt a pit form in his stomach.

"Hey Honenuki if you were a betting man, would you say that explosion came from the nest you found?" Tetsutetsu asked as he stared down at the ground

Honenuki could only nod his head in silence.

"I swear to god if it's the person I think is responsible for this I'm going to rupture his ear drums," Tetsutetsu growled as he seemingly tried to glared through the earth.

Kenji sighed, "Well I guess we're going to find out soon."

Sitting down on the floor Kenji clapped his hand together causing the abyss to rise up from the ground around them in a dome, "My barrier should survive the journey, Honenuki I need you to get us there in one piece."

"I need to be in contact with the ground," Honenuki responded, and a second later two arm sized holes were cut out of the dome's floor revealing the bare floor beneath him, "That will do."

Less than a minute later Kenji felt the dome drop through the earth at a frightening speed and the pressure pushing against his construct increased by tenfold.

"So what's the plan when we get there?" Tetsutetsu asked into the silence as Kenji and Honenuki both focused on maintaining their quirks.

"Hope that everything hasn't gone to shit," Kenji responded through gritted teeth as the pressure continued to build, "Honenuki how much longer?"

"We're here, drop the dome," Honenuki shouted back as he thrust his hands forward.

Kenji let his hands drop with a relieved sigh as the tunnel Honenuki spat them out onto solid ground. Almost instantly Kenji noticed the difference in the air, it was stale and humid with an eye watering funk from the countless mushrooms growing from the walls and floor of the massive underground cavern.

"You recognize where we are?" Tetsutetsu asked Honenuki as they both glanced around the cavern wearily looking for any hostile movement.

"Well this could be the exact same spot," Honenuki replied, "But I don't trust my ability to differentiate one giant hundred ground mushroom from another."

"So we're back to square one, just looking around cluelessly?" Tetsutetsu hissed in a hushed voice, still looking around vigilantly.

Before anyone could answer another explosion went off and everyone looked up to see a plume of smoke waft down from a previously hidden passage in the ceiling.

"We can just turn around right, no one will know," Tetsutetsu muttered even as Kenji slapped his hand against the ground forming a pillar beneath their feet and sending them flying up into the air.

"We can't just leave him to die," Honenuki reprimanded Tetsutetsu as the wind whistled in their ears.

Tetsutetsu frowned, "You don't get it, Aizawa-Sensei punched me hard enough to leave a bruise."

"So I had the same thing happen."

"I was in my metal form when it happened."
