"What?!" Shouting asked by Rei while glaring at the hooded man infront of her.
Sweats fell down from the hooded man's forehead as he answered her question. "T-the two is traveling towards here, miss."
"Hey, you better not lying about this." Intimidating declared by Rei as he conjured a greenish sword in her right hand that was frequently emitting a gust of wind.
With a wind sword pointing at him, the hooded man was scared and intimidated even more, then he weakly answer. "I-I will not lie in my life for you miss."
Rei clicked her tongue and gritted her teeth. She thought. 'They are alive?! F*ck is this.'
Then she turned again to the hooded man and ordered. "Send more imperfect demons to slow them, we must prepared for the worst!"
"Yes miss!" Shouted by the hooded man as he vanished from the spot where he was kneeling.
Sitting again at her chair inside the office of her, Rei gritted her nails as she frowned, she said. "Worst that will happen is them finding out im behind all of this!"
"F*cking transendance!"
...
Reine was walking in the hallway and entered a room specifically for training but what she saw is a battalion of elves under her house's name, they were lined up into 10 by 10 while listening to the commander infront of them which is clothed into the same clothes as the battalion.
The soldiers wore a green vest and trousers while having a brown inner jacket and boots. The difference between the soldiers below and the commander above the platform is that the commander is wearing a green bandana in his left arm.
The commander seems lecturing the soldiers below him and noticed that Reine is coming over. She ordered. "Greet her highness Reine!"
The elven soldiers turned their body and bowed 90 degrees towards Reine. They shouted. "We greet her highness Reine!"
Reine waved her right hand gesturing to stop as she asked towards the commander. "What's this? Don't tell me a war is going on?"
"There is no war you're highness but I was ordered not to tell anyone besides my soldiers and your mother her highness Rei about this, Forgive me for that." The commander answered truthfully.
Reine thought for a while and said. "It's okay, as long as there is no war, keep the good work then."
With that, the commander and his soldiers bowed again as Reine walked away from the crowd and went to the hallway again.
'What it might be, just don't cause more stress for my mother.' She wished in her mind.
...
The crack of woods burning in scorching campfire can be heard by the three as they hold their own sticks with a red lean meat pierced to it while cooking it at the heat of the campfire.
The orange sun was about to say goodbye while the pale moon was already up in the sky. The cacophony of forest is soothing to ears as birds chirps their songs while the howls of wolves make their prey shivers.
The three was unknowingly not disturbed by any enemies so far and it might because of the dead corpse of goblins meters away from them.
Federick broke the silence and asked Xian. "We will sure sleep in turns, when will you plan to sleep?"
Xian thought for a while while burning the red lean meat in her stick and answered after some time. "You two might still be wary of me so I'll sleep midway the two of you."
"Good, then I'll take the last turn." Federick said.
Then he look at her sister and Joana just shrugged her shoulders there and said. "No more choices."
Silence occupied the three again and this time, Xian was the one who broke it and asked Joana. "Im curious, why do you wear like that? Aren't you feel cold?"
Joana heard the question and glanced at her chest, the only one that was clothed among her torso. She thought for a while and replied. "It's lightweight for me and it feels comfortable instead of those bulky armors."
Then she continued. "The silver leg and arm armors is the only thing I needed for covering and blocking most of the attacks."
She tapped her leg who's cladded in silver armor with her left hand who's cladded also in armor and asked. "How about you, don't you want to wear an armor for protection too?"
"No need, transendance's experienced body can block almost all normal physical attacks." Xian answered.
"For real?" Joana asked.
"Not really, I said experienced and not new born transendance." Xian corrected.
"Wish I can become a transendance real quick." Joana murmured with a sigh.
Xian glanced at Joana a couple of seconds then turned her head towards the reindeer meat who's about to get cooked.
Minutes has been past and the three started to ate their fills for the night in silent.
Then time past by when the three finished eating their dinner and the sun was nowhere to be seen now as the pale moon shone through the dark night.
"I'll sleep first, wake me up Xian when it's my turn." Federick said as he entered the tent and laid down his body at the made up grass bed before sleeping soundly.
"What about you Xian? When did you plan to sleep?" Joana asked Xian who's seating infront of the campfire and opposite of her in a log made into a temporary chair.
Xian stared at the flaming woods in the campfire and answered. "Transendance really don't need sleep... But it was my hobbies to sleep in schedule so I guess it doesn't work for me."
"I still don't know very much about transendance... Never knew that transendance didn't need sleep." Joana said in amusement.
Xian played a stick and closing it to the fire and asked. "Are your parents a mage or an heavenly body user?"
Heavenly body, it was a gift and curse at the same time. People who's body is like this is not able to use and manipulate mana but their bodies are refined since birth making them more stronger and have a good resistance to diseases.
Heavenly body can be pass by bloodline or a chance. User of this body can only have one path to become stronger and that's is the path to transendance. Heavenly body user also was born with one or more of their talents refined more than the rest of their body.
In case of Xian, her refinement is placed at her six senses.
"Their both mages... So the two of us, me and my brother is not knowledgeable in the domain of transendance but our parents told us one thing and that is to get stronger." Joana answered as she glance at her sleeping brother.
Then, she turned her heads towards Xian and said. "But you... You seems knowledgeable in that domain."
Xian glanced at Joana who's face is eager to learn, she sighed and said. "I'll teach you a thing or two."
"Yes please!" Joana replied immediately.
"Then listen to me." Xian said and continued to explain the path of transendance from what her mother taught in the past but she didn't includes the 2nd path and the cheat of potions.
Time past by when Xian was teaching Joana and it's her turn to guard the night.
Joana yawned and said. "Thanks Xian... This information will surely not going to waste."
"I expect better for the two of you." Xian replied and continued. "It's your turn to sleep, aren't you?"
"Yes, I'll go to sleep now... Thanks again." She said before going down to laid under the other tent and instantly fell asleep.
...
The darkness occupied the rest of the night while the pale moon shone to illuminate the ground below it as the little light from it sips through the leaves of the deep forest showing specks of light below in the ground.
The crack of wood being scorched is what Xian can only hear near her. It was a peaceful night for the group when suddenly.
Swish!
A cold breeze past by the campsite and Xian unknowingly shivered from an unfamiliar feeling.
She turned her heads towards the depths of the woods and saw a man engulfed in darkness walking under the trees. The man was wearing a clothes that was torn while grabbing a staff made of wood.
He was groaning like a madman but his pace was slow.
"A wrath?" Xian asked herself and continued. "Should I take care of it... I haven't fought any of it before."
Xian thought for a while whether to take care of it but she was too late to decide, the wrath was already left the area and it's presence faded away.
"What a waste, I should gain experience if I fought one." Xian said in disappointment.
Wrath was spectral beings that was used to live. They were created after their original bodies died and there are two requirements for one to become a wrath.
The first one is to die with large amount of mana inside and the second way is to die inside an area with free mana on it.
Wraths can be mad or half-mad beings who was moving according to their past lives and some of them have a couple of reasons to lurk in the overworld.
Xian instantly change her mind whether to chase the wrath. She just sat there infront of the scorching woods as she glanced at her silver bracelet in her left wrist.
"I wonder what Mother is doing." She said in herself before silencing again as she draw her silver sword and brought a white soft towel in her leather bag. Then, she started to polish her sword in the rest of the night.
...
Psh! Psh! Psh!
Several figures jumped from the bush towards the deep of the woods. There are three figures presented in there, one has a humanoid skinny body with a bulky tail, the second one has a wolf body with iron like shell in it's forehead and a tusk on each side of it's mouth while the last one is another humanoid body with bulking muscles paired with bone like tusk that appeared in each of it's hand.
They were running under the trees at fast pace. This was the imperfect demons that the hooded man deployed.
"Go and slow the two of them even it means your lives." The hooded man said while hiding above one of the tall trees.
...
The smell of meat being cooked is what make Xian woke up from her sleep, she sat up from the grass made bed under the tent and saw Federick with Joana while they hold a stick pierced into a red lean meat.
Drool appeared in Xian's already mark with saliva from sleep. Her hair was quite messy as she stared at the two then her abdomen grumbled and was asking for breakfast.
Joana laugh upon seing this and teased. "You were still a child afterall."
"Shut up..." Xian said weakly as she stood up and came over to the two then she sat down at one of the logs.
"Here." Federick said as he handed a half cook lean meat pierced into stick.
Xian accepted the food and placed it above the campfire.
The morning orange sun makes the light seeps through the leaves of the tall trees and illuminates the ground like a specks of light.
The cacophony of forest can be heard by Xian's transcending hearing, Birds singing mixed with the flowing water from the river far from the campsite while the crawls of bugs was paired with the breeze of morning air.
Minutes later, Xian cooked her food and ate the red lean meat. It's taste was even more delicious because of the salt and pepper that the two brought making Xian's breakfast a great one.
After a while, the three was finished and Xian said. "Thanks for the food."
