"I'm sorry for asking you this out of the blue," Chloe said. "But do you have a pen that you could lend me?"
"Yes, you can use this," Stella said.
"Thank you very much."
"Hi, what are you talking about?" Ian asked, as he walked into the room.
"Stella lent me her pen," Chloe said. "I forgot mine at home."
"Next time make sure you have it with you," Ian frowned.
"Yeah, I'll remember that," Chloe told him. "How did the article go? After you resubmitted it, did the teacher accept it?"
"Yes," he said. "I got the mark."
"Good," Chloe said. "We were worried that you wouldn't pass."
"No, it wasn't the problem. It was the grades were very low, but I managed to finish it on time."
"Oh, so there were still things that we could've put in."
"Probably, but the results were fine after I got some more things about the places that they were at and some details on the flora."
"That's really detailed."
"We worked the whole day on it and it still wasn't enough. Maybe we could've put in more effort."
"I agree," Chloe said. "It's more work than the topic."
"So, it's great that you got your marks back," Stella said.
"Yes," Ian replied. "I managed to finish the task thanks to you."
"It's alright, we were only helping you, because it seemed like a lot."
"Thanks for helping me out."
"No problem," Stella said. "Where is Dani?"
"He hasn't come here for a few days, I haven't heard from him," Ian said.
"I also haven't, maybe he's just feeling unwell," Chloe said. "It's been bad weather these few days and making people feel low."
"I don't think he is unwell," Stella said. "He seemed quite cheerful a few days ago."
"I don't really know," Chloe said.
"Let's wait a few days and see if he comes back," Ian said. "If not, we can visit him and see what he is up to."
"Yes, let's do that," Stella said.
Stella went home in the evening. The clouds were pink in the sky and the sky was light blue. It had a mesmerizing view. She looked out of the window and searched for the lights, but could not find them. She thought it was a nice time to go out for a walk and left the house. It was warm with a light breeze. She could feel the wind against her skin. The hairs on her arm stood up as it was getting a little chilly. She tightened the grasp of her coat and walked down the pavement. It was not long before she reached the end of the street, where Dani's house was. She rang the bell and waited. Dani showed up a few minutes later.
"Hello," Stella said. "I was wondering why you weren't in school these couple of days. Is there something up?"
"No, I haven't been off in bed, it's just that I was busy with my work," he said.
"What are you doing? I know there is a lot to revise, but you should still come."
"I know, but there really is a lot and it's all piled up. I need to sort it out, before starting new stuff."
"Okay, tell me when you're coming."
"Okay, I will. Thanks for visiting."
Stella left the appartement and walked the way up the road, again. It was already late and getting dark as the pink clouds were disappearing. She hurried to her appartement and opened the door to her room. She checked outside the window sagain before closing it.
