Chapter 33 - Misunderstanding.

In the past few days, Tang Mingchuan would come to see Lin Xi every day, and their relationship had improved.

Song Yaya only had time alone with Tang Mingchuan when she picked him up and dropped him off upstairs, but Tang Mingchuan clearly wasn't focused on her.

Time passed quickly, and Song Yaya had been staying at the Lin family's place for some time. Her parents in the countryside kept urging her to come back home, and the time she had left was running out. "Yaya, come back, why do you have to study in B city? We can't afford the expenses," her mother's voice came through the phone.

She was just a country woman living in a place called Shuixiang, with not much of a broad view. If it weren't for Song Yaya's insistence on coming to B city this time, she wouldn't have thought about it. Now she just hoped that Song Yaya would come back soon.

"Mom, can you wait for me a few more days? Xi is injured now, and there's no one to take care of her..." Song Yaya pleaded. She didn't want to go back to the countryside once she left. Now she just wanted to find excuses to delay her return as long as possible.

Song Yaya's mother sighed on the other end of the phone. "It's inconvenient to stay there all the time. Okay, I'll give you two more days."

After hanging up the phone, Song Yaya relaxed temporarily.

Song Yaya thought that the relationship between Lin Xi and Tang Mingchuan was getting stronger, and it was unlikely for her to intervene between them. She could only create some misunderstandings between them.

Just as Song Yaya was thinking, Tang Mingchuan came out of the room. "Brother, are you leaving?" Song Yaya still had a fake smile on her face.

Tang Mingchuan glanced at Song Yaya indifferently and said, "Xi has just fallen asleep. Be quiet so you don't wake her up."

This was the first time Tang Mingchuan had spoken to Song Yaya in these few days, although it was about Lin Xi, it still counted as progress.

Song Yaya obediently nodded. "Brother, let me walk you downstairs."

With one in front and the other behind, Tang Mingchuan always gave off a sense of indifference and detachment. Song Yaya followed behind Tang Mingchuan, and the man exuded a faint scent of mint, which attracted Song Yaya at first sight.

Perhaps because Tang Mingchuan had spoken to her today, giving Song Yaya some confidence, she always wanted to find reasons to talk to him.

Song Yaya thought of an idea.

"Brother, do you know about Xi's childhood?" Song Yaya caught up with Tang Mingchuan and walked beside him.

Tang Mingchuan's pace was quick, and Song Yaya had to jog to keep up.

Hearing Lin Xi's name, Tang Mingchuan subconsciously slowed down his pace. Although he wasn't interested in Song Yaya, he was indeed interested in the things about the little girl.

Seeing Tang Mingchuan slowing down, Song Yaya knew she had successfully attracted his attention.

"Xi was very cute when she was a child. I know a lot of things about her childhood." Song Yaya began to make up stories. She and Lin Xi had rarely met when they were children, and the number of times they spoke was very few. But she had no choice. As long as she could have a chance to talk to Tang Mingchuan alone, it didn't matter if she made things up.

Tang Mingchuan stopped and looked at Song Yaya. He was really curious about Lin Xi's childhood, but Lin Xi rarely talked about it.

"Brother, shall we sit over there and talk? I can tell you more interesting stories." Song Yaya reached out to grab Tang Mingchuan's arm.

Tang Mingchuan instinctively avoided it, letting her miss. "Let's go over there instead. Standing here and talking is tiring." Song Yaya explained awkwardly.

The two of them came to the garden in the community, where there were wooden benches.

Tang Mingchuan sat opposite Song Yaya, quietly listening to her tell stories about his little sister.

Song Yaya carefully recalled the stories about Lin Xi's childhood, some of which she couldn't remember, and some were things she heard from adults.

Song Yaya was good at speaking, and the few things she remembered were told very interestingly.

"Xi was very playful when she was a child. There was a little boy who bullied her, and she made him cry. Haha..." The garden was filled with Song Yaya's laughter like silver bells.

Tang Mingchuan listened to many stories about Lin Xi's childhood and couldn't help but smile. His little sister was so cute when she was a child.

Seeing Tang Mingchuan smile, Song Yaya was excited, but she didn't know that Tang Mingchuan's smile was all because of Lin Xi. "But later, Xi was strictly disciplined by her parents in terms of her grades, so she gave up many hobbies, and her temperament became much gentler..." Song Yaya continued. These were also things she heard from her mother, and she didn't know the specific details.

Giving up many hobbies... Tang Mingchuan remembered the oil painting Lin Xi had drawn for him, and the regretful tone in the little girl's voice when she said she couldn't continue to learn oil painting. His heart couldn't help but ache.

Song Yaya talked for a long time until she couldn't remember any more details. "Thank you," Tang Mingchuan said to Song Yaya.

Song Yaya's face turned red with excitement. "I've been talking for so long. Brother, can you buy me a cup of milk tea?"

Tang Mingchuan didn't refuse and thought it would be nice to bring a cup back for the little girl too.

Tang Mingchuan skillfully ordered a cup of strawberry milk tea, and then turned to ask what Song Yaya liked.

After thinking about it, Song Yaya also chose strawberry milk tea. After Tang Mingchuan left, Song Yaya threw one of the cups of strawberry milk tea into the trash can and went back to Lin Xi's house with one cup humming a tune.

When Song Yaya returned home, Lin Xi had just woke up. Tang Mingchuan had left quietly when she fell asleep.

"Xi, you're awake. Brother just left after chatting downstairs with me. Before he left, he bought me strawberry milk tea," Song Yaya said, drinking her strawberry milk tea, looking provocatively at Lin Xi. When Lin Xi saw the cup of strawberry milk tea, her face changed slightly. Without paying attention to Song Yaya, she turned around and closed the door.

Seeing Lin Xi's expression, Song Yaya smiled triumphantly. She could tell Lin Xi wasn't happy, but the more Lin Xi acted like this, the happier she was.

Misunderstandings are like seeds. Once planted, they will slowly take root and sprout, and the longer they are, the harder

 they are to remove.

Lin Xi felt a little uneasy. Although she knew that Song Yaya was deliberately saying things to her, she couldn't help feeling a little sour in her heart. She wasn't an irritable person, but just now when she didn't close the door, she promised herself that she would definitely get angry with Song Yaya.

But Tang Mingchuan had always been indifferent to Song Yaya in front of her, so why did he talk to her today and even buy her favorite milk tea, but not hers!

The more Lin Xi thought about it, the sadder she became. Just then, Tang Mingchuan suddenly sent a message, and Lin Xi glanced at it but didn't reply, sitting on the bed angrily.

Tang Mingchuan couldn't receive a message from the little girl for a long time, thinking that she hadn't woken up yet, so he planned to wait for a while before sending it again.
