Chapter 60 - Goodnight, Big Brother

After already being full, she ended up eating a small dried fish.

Of course, for Ruan Fengsi, it was a small dried fish, but in reality, it was as big as her palm.

Fortunately, the fish bones were fried to a crisp, so she had no problem eating them in one bite without worrying about them getting stuck in her throat.

However, due to her small mouth and weak teeth, she had to eat slowly and pick out the slightly larger bones as she ate.

In the end, she successfully overate and sat in the car, rubbing her belly.

Suddenly coming to her senses, she subconsciously touched her stomach upon hearing her big brother's question.

"I do, a little bit."

She heard herself replying in this manner, and when they arrived home, her elder brother skillfully carried her to the villa.

Leaning on her big brother's shoulder, Ruan Shu's eyes curved, feeling no fear in her heart as long as her big brother didn't scold her.

Ruan Fengsi placed her on the sofa and went to ask the housekeeper for digestive medicine.

Their family had never kept this before, as everyone had a good foundation and wouldn't overeat.

The housekeeper smiled and said they had it, looking very pleased with the young master.

"The young master is also taking care of people now."

Ruan Fengsi was speechless. "Aren't those two little ones the ones I took care of?"

The housekeeper continued to smile and replied, "I'm not talking about the kind of care that sends people to the hospital from time to time." The young master cares about his sister.

Ruan Fengsi's eyes turned cold. "Housekeeper, you talk too much."

It seemed like an impatient threat, but it also sounded a bit embarrassed.

The housekeeper was not upset and went to get the digestive medicine with a smile.

However, he seemed impatient as he handed the medicine to Ruan Shu.

"Here, don't upset your stomach and make me take you to the hospital."

It seemed like he was just explaining why he was giving her the digestive medicine, not showing the care for his sister as the housekeeper had mentioned.

Ruan Shu didn't mind at all. In fact, she took the medicine, looked up, and flashed a sweet smile at him.

"Thank you, brother."

Her smile was so radiant that it was captivating and softened his heart.

Ruan Fengsi was dazzled by her smile, and he couldn't help but show a faint smile, even reaching out to pat her head.

Ruan Shu looked at him with clear and bright eyes, feeling surprised and even happier as her eyes sparkled.

Realizing what he was doing, Ruan Fengsi quickly withdrew his hand and smile, leaving with a sullen face.

In his heart, he thought, "This little thing is really strange!"

Ruan Shu looked at him in confusion, feeling a little disappointed.

She thought her brother might like her a little bit.

It's okay; she can be good to her brother!

Ruan Shu quietly encouraged herself and happily drank the digestive medicine.

However, she didn't see her big brother again until bedtime.

Feeling a bit disappointed, she was carried to her bedroom by the housekeeper.

Lying on the bed, she murmured to Xiao Mi for a while. Before falling asleep, she heard the sound of the study door not far away.

Ruan Shu immediately hobbled down to the door with the help of Xiao Mi.

The sound of the door opening seemed to disturb Ruan Fengsi, who had just come out of the study.

He turned to look at her and, upon seeing her fluffy head, furrowed his brows with a look of anger in his eyes.

So fierce!

This was Ruan Shu's initial reaction: she wanted to pull her head back, but it was too late.

Ruan Fengsi strode over and lifted her up.

Ruan Shu huddled with her eyes closed, looking pitiful.

Ruan Fengsi's voice was filled with anger.

"Ruan Shu, don't you want your foot anymore?" How many times have I told you!

Ruan Shu opened her eyes, her brows and eyes drooping timidly.

"I just wanted to say goodnight to my brother." My foot didn't touch the ground.

Ruan Fengsi paused, then carried her back to the bed in the bedroom.

"Go to sleep."

Ruan Shu gently murmured in agreement, and only when her big brother was about to leave did she softly say, "Goodnight, big brother."

Ruan Fengsi walked to the door, looked back at the little one obediently waiting in bed, and said, "Goodnight."

After saying these two words dryly, he closed the door and left.

Little did he know how happy those two words made Ruan Shu, who went to sleep with a smile on her face.

She had a pleasant dream and woke up the next morning without Ruan Fengsi coming to wake her up. She got up by herself, folded the blanket as usual, washed up, and went downstairs in slippers, with Xiao Mi following behind.

Before she even reached the bottom of the stairs, she saw two people sitting in the living room.

One of them was her cousin, dressed in a white shirt with all the buttons done up, looking cold and restrained, resembling a celibate male deity.

Her brother, on the other hand, was wearing a tank top that accentuated his well-defined muscles, giving the impression that he had just completed a workout. A white towel hung casually around his neck, used to wipe away the sweat.

The sweat-drenched tank top clung to his body, revealing his well-defined eight-pack abs.

When Ruan Shu appeared at the top of the stairs, the two of them were talking, but they both looked over at her.

Ruan Shu noticed her cousin's evident happiness, which was largely due to Ruan Qingran. She hadn't seen him in days.

Ruan Shu's eyes sparkled as she called out, "Brother."

Both brothers raised their eyebrows at her.

Who was she calling?

Ruan Shu blinked and called out in a soft voice, "Big brother, Qingran brother."

This way, it was easy to distinguish between them.

She was about to happily go downstairs, but was stopped by a stern voice.

"Stop."

Ruan Fengsi looked at her with an unfriendly expression. "Don't run around."

Ruan Qingran didn't know what was going on. Feeling that his brother's tone was too harsh and afraid of scaring his little cousin, he watched as Ruan Fengsi approached and lifted her up.

He said, "..."

"You forgot what I told you yesterday, didn't you?"

Ruan Shu leaned against his shoulder, raised her fair foot to show him, and explained in a soft, childish voice, "It doesn't hurt anymore."

Her brother was sweating profusely, and she gazed at his face for a few seconds before delicately wiping it with her hand.

Ruan Fengsi paused, turned his deep gaze to her, and Ruan Shu blushed and stammered.

"I am wiping my big brother's sweat."

Ruan Fengsi handed her a corner of the towel hanging around his neck.

"Use this."

Ruan Shu immediately agreed with a soft voice.

She was very careful with the towel, wiping his face gently and lightly.

Ruan Qingran watched the siblings interact and raised his eyebrows, not expecting his cousin to be so patient with them.

But, thinking that his usually cold uncle had shown rare tenderness in front of his little cousin, he felt relieved.
