Chapter 96 - 96. Jin Woo's "True" Power

Just as planned, when they are about to attack the 11th Giant, Il Hwan asks the other National Level Hunters to let his son try fighting it. He says it's just for experience and he'll take responsibility for anything that happens.

The others think it might be dangerous, so they look at Indra who gives an OK signal. Nothing bad will happen with the best Healer in the world here, so they agree.

"Hahaha! You sure have much more guts than those S-Rank pussies who wet their pants just from seeing the Giants. Anyway, give it your best shot, Jin Woo! We'll do something if it goes wrong."

Zhigang seems happy seeing how fearless Jin Woo is compared to the previous S-Ranks who run away after being pressured by the Giants' power just for a bit.

Everyone is also curious to see how good Jin Woo is. But they know it will be dangerous, so they are ready to intercept anytime.

Too bad though, they don't need to do anything. Instead of helping, they are rooted in their spots with shocked expressions when they see Jin Woo's movements.

Jin Woo is really fast, even faster than his father and Dewi who are the fastest among the National Level Hunters. His attacks are also strong enough to cut the Giant's thick and hard skin.

Furthermore, his skills are top notch. He also shows a unique magic they never saw before. His daggers are too short to cut the Giant's skin open, so he makes his blades longer using magic.

Jin Woo's magic blades are black, he uses Shadow to create longer blades. He can manipulate his Shadow Blades' length as he pleases. Now he can cut deeper into the Giant's thick skin.

Just like when the National Level Hunters attacked the previous Giants, Jin Woo also goes for its ankles first. He attacks the ankles a few times to cut them and then he makes it fall on its knees before attacking its throat.

The Giant tries to attack him, but he is too fast for the Giant. So he keeps landing his attacks while the Giant is unable to do anything. It takes a longer time, but Jin Woo manages to kill a Giant by himself.

The National Level Hunters are dumbfounded by what they see. Only Il Hwan, Indra, and Dewi are not surprised by this. They know Jin Woo can kill that Giant easily, but he holds back to their level because there's no need to show more power for now.

"..... Are you for real now?" Jonas still can't believe what he sees.

"Oi, Il Hwan! You never told us your son is this strong. Why are you hiding it?" Thomas seems quite irritated. The others also want to know why they hid Jin Woo's power all these years since he awakened.

"Would you believe me if I say my son is even stronger than me?" Il Hwan just smirks while saying it.

"Well, we wouldn't believe it right away, but we could always test it, right?" Everyone nods when Reeds says it.

"Hahaha! Well, he just didn't want to show it yet before. Being an S-Rank is already a burden, not to mention a National Level. I also wanted him to have a rather normal life because he's still young."

Everyone seems to understand it immediately. As National Level Hunters, they know the burden of having great responsibilities caused by their power.

Surely being an S-Rank is also burdensome, but that's nothing compared to being a National Level Hunter. It's like they are the ones shouldering the responsibility of the Earth's survival on their shoulders, after all.

They all know from Indra's and Dewi's cases that being National Level Hunters at such young ages have taken a lot of their freedom. Both of them don't have normal lives since they become National Level Hunters.

"Sigh, alright, let's say we all understand your reason as a parent. But why are you showing his power now? What's the reason?" Indra helps Il Hwan and Jin Woo in their little skit.

"When you told us that this dungeon was even more dangerous than Kamish's dungeon, I was thinking if there will be even more dangerous dungeons that will appear in the future. My son thought the same and then he told me that maybe it's time to reveal his true power. It made me think if more dangerous dungeons appear in the future, then we will need more strong Hunters, more National Level Hunters. So I agreed with his decision to reveal his true power. But I know it will be difficult to just announce it, so we decided to show it to you first and ask you how we'll proceed with it." Il Hwan explains his "reason".

Everyone becomes much more serious after hearing Il Hwan's explanation. They also have thought that dungeons that are more dangerous than Kamish's dungeon or even this one might appear in the future.

Even their power might not be enough if that really happens. So having more Hunters who are as strong as them will be more assuring.

Indra smiles when he sees their reactions. He's glad that all National Level Hunters are thinking of Earth's safety and taking the threats of dungeons seriously.

It's normal for those with great power to be drunk with it and think of themselves to be above anything else. That's why Indra was always worried that they wouldn't take the danger of monsters and dungeons seriously.

Maybe it's thanks to the frequent appearance of S-Rank Gates and all the hard work he did for mankind that these guys think of S-Rank Gates as world-level threats that can destroy the Earth itself.

"Hmm, then let's ask the World Hunter Organization to make him a National Level. In fact, why don't we do something to find out if there are more National Level Hunters somewhere?" Indra gives a proposal that he has been thought of before.

"Like a test?"

"Yeah, maybe there are some more hunters with National Level power out there, but they don't have a chance to find it out without raiding any S-Rank dungeons."

"That's not a bad idea."

Everyone agrees to it, but they need to think more about how to do it. They decide to talk about it after clearing this dungeon because this isn't the place to discuss this.

So after that, they start killing the Giants with Jin Woo. Every one of them can kill a mob Giant alone, but it will take too much energy and time, so they kill each Giant together to make it much easier.

It doesn't take long for them to kill all the mob Giants. The Giants were getting afraid of them as they killed more Giants.

Because the Giants were scared, they needed to force the scared Giants out of the barrier using their Telekinesis and Shiddarth's strong taunt skill that the Giants can't resist.

After they kill all the mob Giants, they decide to rest near the boss room. Indra places a barrier to block the boss room to prevent it from coming out while they rest.

Dewi is not with them there because she runs out of the dungeon to tell the S-Ranks to collect the mob Giant corpses before they fight the boss.

The dungeon will close shortly after they kill the boss, after all. So they need to take the corpses out before killing the boss.

"That guy really doesn't come out even after we killed all of its subordinates. It's just like most dungeon bosses in terms of behavior." Dina ponders about it while looking at the boss through Indra's barrier.

"Well, it's good that we don't need to fight the boss before finishing off all the mobs. Bosses that wander out of their rooms are very annoying. I really hate them. They've caused a lot of casualties among my Guild members." Reed is obviously very annoyed by it.

While resting, they eat some snacks and have some drinks including potions to recover their stamina and mana. It takes a while, but the boss is just sitting still in its room, not moving an inch even though they are very noisy.

After they recover most of their energy, they get ready to fight the boss. The thought of fighting a monster stronger than Kamish is making them very excited even though it's very dangerous. Then after a while, the boss fight finally starts.
