There are a few things Indra wants to talk with Dewi, but they need to leave this place first. With the boss dead, the dungeon will close soon, so they need to leave quickly. But before leaving, Indra drops a few small magic crystals from his inventory while storing the boss's corpse.
They run to the entrance quickly and when they arrive at the Gate, they suddenly hear loud explosions from behind. It surprises them, but they don't have time to check it, so they just leave while wondering about those explosions.
None of them knows that those explosions were caused by the magic crystals that Indra dropped. Those small magic crystals had runes engraved on them. He was using his Rune Magic on those magic crystals and made them explosives.
It's difficult to understand Rune Magic, so he did a lot of experiments with it. There are many rune symbols in Rune Magic and each rune has its own property. He needs to combine the runes to create different effects.
The combinations seem endless, but there isn't a guide on how to combine them or a collection of runes combinations. So Indra needs to experiment and try different combinations himself to understand the runes more.
He had found some useful combinations, like a combination to create an explosion. He also tried using different mediums to engrave the runes and found out that magic crystals or monster cores are the best medium because they contain mana, so the effects of his Rune Magic become greater.
Because of the endless combinations that can result in different effects, Indra realizes that this Rune Magic might be the most versatile magic. But it's also very difficult to learn because just 1 symbol difference in the combinations can create completely different results.
Anyway, Indra used those explosive runes in the boss room to destroy the spider eggs that were hidden beneath the webs. Those eggs were small and hidden well, but there were so many of them. He thought his sister would sense those eggs' magic power, but it seems her senses aren't strong enough to pick up the eggs' weak magic power like him.
Well, he doesn't really need to destroy those eggs because the dungeon will close, so anything coming out of those eggs won't be able to get out. But it just felt wrong leaving those eggs, so he destroyed them anyway.
Those eggs also give some XP, so it's not really a waste and he can finally use those Rune Bombs. The effects were greater than he thought. He could even feel the power of those explosions from the Gate.
When the raid team comes out of the Gate, they are welcomed by the sounds of cameras taking pictures. The reporters are not wasting time to take pictures of the raid team. But they don't know whether the team has succeeded or not.
So they quickly ask questions to the team while trying to get closer. The guards are doing their best to stop the reporters from getting closer. It makes Indra sigh, so he quickly tells the reporters that he will answer their questions after resting a bit.
"If you can't wait even for a while, then I'll just ignore you as usual. So choose wisely."
They are a bit surprised before calming down. Neither Indra or Dewi has ever entertained the reporters seriously. At most they just say a few things while passing and mostly are not even things the reporters didn't ask.
So an opportunity to ask Indra about many things for the first time is very precious. They know better than to ruin this chance by pissing him off. That's why they get silent as soon as Indra says that, which awes the guards from the Hunter Bureau.
"Alright, raise your hands and I'll choose who can ask. If you make a fuss, then I'll stop answering immediately."
The reporters almost just ask questions without waiting. But now they can only do it with Indra's way. He chooses the 1st person and gets asked about his opinion of an A-Rank dungeon.
"Well, it certainly was a lot harder than B-Rank dungeons. But maybe because the magic power detected from the Gate was on the lower side, the monsters inside weren't of much problem to us. My sis just made some mistakes because of her inexperience. But if she's already used to raiding dungeons, then I wouldn't even need to help her during the raid."
"Y-you mean she could clear the A-Rank dungeon alone?"
"I told you to raise your hand first, but I'll let it slide for now because it was your question. But yeah, she should be able to clear that dungeon alone."
Everyone is shocked but also still has doubts in their minds because the Gate isn't closed yet, which they think because the raid team hasn't cleared it yet. But then the Gate starts to disappear. It simply hasn't disappeared yet because of the time interval between the boss's death and the Gate's closing.
But there is something that doesn't feel right and the next reporter that gets chosen asks it. He asks about the loot from the dungeon. Everyone is curious about the monster corpses and the magic crystals because they don't see the raid team carry any of those.
Indra simply takes out a magic crystal out of his inventory to answer that question. It stuns everyone except the raid team members who have seen it. None of them has ever seen a spatial storage ability, after all.
"I have them all with me if you still don't understand it, but I don't have any obligation to show them to you. Next question is.... You there."
"Yes. Um, about your plan to make a Guild together as siblings. The Government hasn't made any decision regarding the rule that stated every province can only have an S-Rank hunter until we have more S-Rank hunters than the number of provinces we have. What will you do if this rule hasn't been changed as you've asked when the time for you to make your Guild arrive?"
"Then we'll take it as the Government doesn't take our opinions seriously and doesn't care about the S-Rank hunters. So they shouldn't complain if we decide to leave the country because of their rule. Next."
"Will you really leave the country because of that?"
"Yeah, it's what we've said to those people in the Government. If they don't change that rule, that means they don't care about us leaving this country. You can call us cold-hearted, but you need to understand that forcing S-Rank hunters with a rule like that won't end well in the future. At least we are willing to talk about it. But you know there are many cases of S-Rank Hunters in other countries that suddenly leave their countries because they got much better offers from wealthier countries. In the future, there might be S-Ranks who will leave without a second thought. So if the Government still decides to ignore what we said, I'll assume that they don't care about this threat and most likely will never care. That also means they don't care about the hunters. If they can ignore even S-Rank Hunters, then their treatments to lower rank hunters will be worse. Next."
"But what if there are emergency situations like monster outbreaks as the Government feared?"
"Then let me ask you back. Is there any province that can't clear A-Rank dungeons? No, right? Even when they don't have a single S-Rank, every province has cleared some A-Rank dungeons. Do you think the hunters that could clear those A-Rank dungeons won't be able to stop an A-Rank dungeon outbreak or even stale for time until reinforcements from other provinces arrive? They are not that weak. We should believe more in our hunters. If S-Ranks' assistance was needed, then they can simply send the S-Ranks with the military's fastest jet. I don't know how fast it will be, but it should be fast enough to send us before the damage gets too big, especially with the local hunters there. Won't that be more effective? Besides, you guys surely know how big each of our provinces is. Even if an S-Rank stays in each province, it doesn't guarantee that they can arrive at the outbreak location immediately. Not to mention S-Rank hunters are also busy raiding dungeons. So they can't be on standby all the time."
Indra is giving them long answers to make his opinion clear. He doesn't care about what people will think about him as long as things get better for him and his loved ones.
After that, he answers a few more questions before leaving to sell the materials from the dungeon. The profit is much higher than B-Rank dungeons even with more taxes. Now he understands why the big Guilds still prefer to raid A-Rank dungeons even though the price of the right is high too.
Indra and Dewi raid 2 more A-Rank dungeons after that. It takes almost a month to finish raiding those 2 A-Rank dungeons because they didn't spawn for days and the competitions to get the rights to raid them are fierce.
They are just about to formally make their Guild when 3 big news appears. First, the Government finally agreed to change the rule as Indra asked. Second, Indonesia gets another S-Rank hunter. Lastly, an S-Rank Gate is discovered in the USA.
"I almost forgot about it. The 1st S-Rank Gate in the world. It finally appears."
