Chapter 21 - Chapter 21 - Kill nine generations of your family and cripple your cultivation before kowtow to me. Then maybe I will consider forgiving you imprudence, junior. (Not literally)

"Ray, Miss Rias said that her family and older brother wished to ask for your audience." Asia suddenly said when I went to school to fetch her.

"Gremory house and Sirzech Lucifer? Did she say why?" I asked back even though I already knew the reason.

"Hmn…" Asia pointed a finger at her chin trying to recall which took a moment before she answered. "She said he wanted to ask for forgiveness about what happened a few days ago about their maid, Miss Grayfia, stepping out of the line."

I looked back at the school where the clubroom was and saw everyone already gathered there.

"Well, why not. Maybe it would be fun." I answered but before I could walk forward, Asia stopped me with another question.

"Ray, will you forgive her?" Asia asked with a worried look.

"Hmn. No. I would not." I replied plainly which earned me a nod from the smiling Ravel.

"But, even if she is wrong. She did it because it's her job as the maid of Gremory house and Queen of the Satan Lucifer. She is just… fulfilling her duty." She argued, obviously trying to dissuade me from killing her I'd reckon.

"You are getting smarter, Asia." I praised as the previous her wouldn't even notice details like this.

"Ehehe, I tried my very best to be better and more useful to you, Ray." She smiled shyly and fidgeted from joy of getting praised.

"Well, even if that's her duty, she should know what is coming if she dare attempt what she did." I answered which made the happiness in Asia evaporate away and become slumped with disappointment.

"Uhm… can you at least not kill her?" She asked. More like a beg but she is too kind for her own good.

"Well, I promise nothing." I said with my eyes narrowed down at her without her noticing.

Thankfully I still liked her. Otherwise, hmn… actually. I don't know what I would do to her in that case. Break her mind and remold her mind to my liking just like a gardener pruning and growing a flower to be pleasing to their eyes maybe?

Anyway, we departed for the ORC clubroom.

———

"Please father, mother, Sirzech. This is the mistake that I created. I should bear the sin of my own action myself."

"Then what? I wouldn't let you be killed just to appease a god even if it is that strong. I am still your King and your husband, Grayfia." Sirzech grab Grayfia's shoulder to wake her up from her suicidal thoughts.

Lord Gremory, Lady Gremory and Rias had only watched silently.

Lord Gremory as the patriarch agreed with Grayfia's action to lessen the damage done to the clan.

Lady Gremory is torn between her duty as the lady of the Gremory House and her duty as a mother.

Rias is swallowed by anger, disappointment among other negative thoughts of herself for being selfish and the reason for all this problem to occur and failing to fulfill her duty as the Gremory House heiress when someone like Riser is better and more of an exemplary noble House heir than herself.

"No! You don't understand this. You understand nothing! I was there. I felt it. I saw the depth of his power. He is not something you can fight! You will die! Please… please understand me. Please understand that I am trying to save you, Sirzech Lucifer!" Grayfia mustered her weakened strength that was gripped by terror and pushed Sirzech away desperately while mumbling hysterically.

"I must be the only one to bear his wrath. It has to be me alone. Just me alone and no one else. As long as I die. As long as it's just me. Everything will be fine."

"What are you talking about, Grayfia? How is it alright to let you die just like that? How can you ask me to let him kill you just like that?" Sirzech is getting more desperate to dissuade Grayfia. To change her mind but she isn't even making any sense.

Then Grayfia's body became tense and seized up like she was struck by lightning. She slowly turns her head to a corner of the room with dread and terror ever more evident on her eyes, expression and body.

When she glimpse upon the silhouette of the black feline at the corner of the room with one claw placed before his lips to tell her to be silent. She immediately hiccuped and her body went limp as she slowly laughed with insanity leaking out her mind.

Aww shit, she might have caught a glimpse of my true identity. Well, that explains her behavior and took out the fun to slowly pick on her brain and break her mind. What a bummer though.

With her pointing out my existence, everyone turned to me.

"Well, greetings ladies and gentlemen. I heard you asked me for an audience?"

Before anything else happened. Sirzech charged at me angrily and demanded me to answer what I did to Grayfia, to which I shrugged and said I did nothing in particular. I mean, I didn't intentionally cause this. So, he can't blame me that Grayfia's mind is broken.

As for the attack, Ravel stepped forward and blocked the hand trying to reach me and throwed Sirzech in the opposite direction until he crashed on the wall.

Before I could open my mouth again, Grayfia crawled to my feet and prostrated herself before me. Free

"Please… please let me bear the price of my mistake alone." She groveled before me with a determination unyielding even with a broken mind to not implicate the Gremory House and her husband Sirzech Lucifer.

Looking at her state. It's kinda hot. A mind broken bitch begging on my feet. Kinda feel like a waste to kill her. But before giving my verdict. I look up to Sirzech who looks enraged but still containing his anger instead of lashing out despite having a literal inferno boiling inside of him.

Sirzech Lucifer is an interesting yet at the same time boring character. Powerful yet bound so tightly by his duty as Satan. He is powerful enough to enter the list of top ten most powerful beings in the world yet instead of arrogance, he retained a strong sense of duty to the Devil race. In short, a tool to help the mc only. That's his use for this world dictated by his destiny. Even right now, he is more focused on the safety and survival of the Devil race than his own literal wife like Lord Gremory prioritizing his Gremory House over his daughter-in-law.

It made me want to laugh. Where is the so-called trait of Gremory Clan members that loved their family more than anything? Perhaps only Rias truly embodies this trait. Sirzech is plainly just a siscon. The rest, I cannot even see this trait at all.

Then I look back at Grayfia who had been looking at me the whole time desperately.

"Sure. I will." I said which made her finally smile in joy and Sirzech frowning deeper at my words. "However, you have to gain the permission of your king first. I'd rather not cause any misunderstandings."

"Only after you have permission can you come find me and accept your punishment." I said my piece before leaving with Asia and Ravel.

I can already see the drama unfold between them. Grayfia will beg to be allowed to serve her punishment but Sirzech will surely refuse. Lord Gremory will encourage Grayfia while Lady Gremory is useless and Rias will fall deeper into depression and guilt from being the catalyst of what broke the harmony in their family. All this will drive the wedge already formed between all of them even deeper.

Ah. Is this why true villains always liked to sow chaos and discord? It's truly fun. Almost too much fun as now I have a literal family drama waiting to be watched using my future vision when I get back home.
