He had no north about where the Terminal Slayers would be, so that place could be as helpful as any in finding them.
The map of the system jumped before him, many arrows aimed in all directions. A not-so-subtle message that they were everywhere.
'There is one near the scream. I think it is worth a shot.'
Kissen stared at him, her eyes on him. She waited for him to continue their stroll, but Ellianor had another thought in mind. "A mission just appeared for me. We have a reason to jump into trouble."
Kissenn smiled and followed after him as they ran toward the trouble. the person who screamed may be dead by now, but they would be avenged, one way or another.
Some people looked startled at them as they jumped into a pile of trash, a black blade materializing on Ellianor's hand, quickly slashing through the piles of trash and forcing a way deeper into it.
Towards where the scream came from. There should be other routes to reaching it, but they hardly mattered in the grand scheme of things.
Ellianor could go through the trash piles faster by quickly slashing it rather than finding tunnels and passages.
Kissenn followed after him, her own blade striking fastly the debris and trash in their way.
The way forward had been cleared at ludicrous speeds, as they went through the superficial pile of trash, not finding one of the harder or reinforced materials on their way in.
They fell right above a tunnel, wide enough for a small group of people to maneuver inside of it.
In the tunnel, they found some creatures that looked half-humanoid, half some kind of bird.
Their teeth ground against the meaty of another alien, one that looked like a jellyfish, biting on its tentacles and translucent guts. The bird-looking creatures looked at them.
One got a gun out, already cocked and ready to fire. It was a hybrid between a riffle and a hand cannon.
Before it could be shot, Kissenn moved through the monster, cutting through its hand and then piercing its head. The monsters had no time to react as Ellianor joined the fray, his blade cut through one's head.
The obsidian-like blade cut through it without any problems, and the monster dropped dead on the ground, as its comrades broke away, fleeing through another corridor.
Kissenn readied herself to give chase, Ellianor looked at the giant jellyfish before it twitched. "Oh, someone heard me. Thank the abyss."
The jellyfish moved from the ground, placing its translucent guts back in its belly. "I sincerely thank you. I doubt anyone would hear me screaming." Ellianor and Kissenn took a moment to watch the Jellyfish.
"You are welcome?" While a big jellyfish was not out of the ordinary, seeing one able to speak plain English, and survive being eaten alive and just shrug it off was an anomalous sight for the duo.
Ellianor would have to find it disturbing if the jellyfish had blood and human guts instead of its translucent organs.
"How did you end here, even?" Kissen questioned, her guard high in case the bird creatures came back with reinforcements.
"I was crossing from the under village to the upper one to trade some scrap I found, but I was attacked by those ruffians who took my things and were eating me."
The jellyfish-looking creature rises a tentacle, wiping its body out of the dust and trash that composed those tunnels.
It would be a sight out of an acid trip if Ellianor had not seen it with his own eyes. Aliens were stranger than he thought they would be.
Clicking his tongue he decided to skip over the strange biology of the Jellyfish and go for a more pressing question. "What are those guys? And what is an undervillage? We are kind of new here."
Getting information on what was going on was better than rushing blindly into the fray. 'I hope you are trustworthy.' The jellyfish was a literal giant jellyfish.
It had no human traces besides a bunch of tentacles holding its body straight. There was nothing readable about it in any human fashion.
"Oh, they are Gragas. A carnivorous tribe of bird people" Luckily, the jellyfish was in a good mood and decided to answer.
"They are troublemakers and ruffians that feed on any flesh they can get."
"I am an easy target because of my lack of natural defenses, so they decided to attack me. They have been a menace for some years now. L1M1 tunnels are not as safe as they used to be."
The jellyfish started to bop out of nowhere, going up and down.
"An under village is a village under the surface of the Scrapyard, that is why they are under. They are almost the same as the surface ones, but the surface pays better for stuff they can't find on it."
"I will be exiting that tunnel since the outside is safer but… if you manage to retrieve my goods, I am willing to share the scrap I will make with you two." The jellyfish stopped booping.
Ellianor for a moment stopped to think, his head processing the benefits, beyond the monetary acquisition.
[QUEST REQUEST: JELLO'S GOODS
OBJECTIVE: FIND JELLO'S GOODS
OPTIONAL OBJECTIVE: DEFEAT THE GRAGA TRIBE OF L1M1 UNDER VILLAGE
EXP: 150 EXP
REWARDS: 500 C]
A quest was made, and it gave far less EXP than the one he had just been forced into. 'I guess this is a side quest rather than a main one.' Ellianor sighed and nodded to the screen.
The quest was accepted. "Alright, find a safe place and we will find a way to help you get your goods out of their hands." And get some combat training in the process.
Field training.
The jellyfish started to boop again, before running with every one of its tentacles. It was a strange sight, but Ellianor decided to erase it from his head. It was not worth keeping it.
"So, let's get those bastards in hee tunnels, yeah? And maybe go to that Under village if it is convenient." Kissenn smiled, spinning her blade.
Ellianor rolled his eyes and entered the tunnel.
