They entered the tunnel without a second thought, the ground from where the bird people walked, the Gragas, was highlighted by water, or some other kind of fluid.
Presumably from the jellyfish. It was hard to track them down by the water on the ground alone, but they did their best to hunt them down and close the distance.
Kissen was ahead of Ellianor, capitalizing on a greater speed than his.
For a moment, Ellianor regretted that he did not invest in his speed that much.
It was a problem, but now Ellianor could push his body a little more to go faster without as much strain on his body or breath.
In the short run, the impact of the skill [Chivalry] was not perceptible at first, but the more he ran, the more noticeable it became.
His body could keep running, and he was not out of breath.
It was a total deduction on all actions he did, all that consumed his stamina were deduced by ten percent. 'I may not be the fastest, but I can outrun someone faster in a marathon.'
Two modalities, one where Kissen was the better one, and one where he was the better option.
It was a balance, they got their back, almost literally on the current situation.
'I make sure there is nothing on her back, and she will deal with enemies ahead of us.' A great balance for them, besides her quicker attacks.
The monsters ahead of them screeched loudly. They were aware of their position, and that they were on their tails, and closing in.
She grasped her blade tightly, feeling the blood rushing from one of the bird people. With a loud screech, she pierced its neck and retreated her blade to slash its knees open.
The monster on the back of their group fell on the ground agonizing.
The monster was left alive on purpose, to avoid hindering Kissenn as she chased the other creatures, and she could afford to leave it alive.
As the creature agonized, Ellianor cut its head off, an anguished cry almost came from its pierced neck, as all life left it.
She trusted Ellianor to execute any stragglers and prey wrapped up for him.
The Gragas looked back in genuine fear, their pace picking up as they tried to outrun the bloodhound out for blood on their back, and the far slower Ellianor, who could only see the chase from the back.
His annoyance was great, but he had to suck it up since it was self brought. "KRAW! KRAW! KRAW! KRAW!" They cried out loud as if trying to call something.
Sadly for one of the calling Gragas, the moment it opened its mouth, Kissenn thrust her blade through its throat to its mouth, and slashed away, its head hung by a thin thread of flesh on its neck.
Fear filled the other Gragas' eyes as they tried to get away. "KRAAAW!" From the corridor, something demolished a passage in.
Kissenn widened her eyes and jumped back, her feet sliding on the ground as a small amount of joke came out of it because of friction.
She landed by his side, her eyes narrowed on the figure.
It was like the bird people they were chasing, but bigger, and with a heavy metal plate armor. Ellianor narrowed his eyes on the creature, that saw Kissenn's blade dripping with blood.
It shrieked out loud, picking a shield from its black, alongside a sword cannon, which it used to smack the shield and make loud noises, almost as if enacting a tribal duel.
Or a call for others of its kind to join the fray. The frightened Gragas behind it stopped running, seeking covers behind trash and the tunnels, and ripping material out of the walls to use as shields.
Ellianor narrowed his eyes, and tightened his grasp over the blad,e watching the larger monster.
"The big guy is mine. Deal with the small ones." The sound of weapons being loaded came from the ones hidden behind cover.
Kissenn moved her eyes at the ones on the cover and at the guy with the big gun. "I say that you should kiss the big bird. He has a cannon, not a pistol." Kissen gested, and readied her blade.
The monster narrowed its view on her. Ellianor took a moment to analyze the weapon it had. It was a sword with a species of rifle, or small cannon, as small as one can be, fused.
It could not shot from close range. 'Kissing range, huh?' The duo locked eyes and nodded to each other. Kissen was the first to break into full sprint, chasing after the smaller Gragas.
It raised its blade to smack Kissenn with it, but the blade clashed against a far sturdier, unmoving force.
Sparks flew as obsidian and metal clashed.
The armored Graga's arm was pushed back. It used a helmet covering its entire head, save for its mouth, the only part showing emotion, and it was surprised.
it was surprised by a force sending its arm back alongside its blade.
The biting of a sword clashed against its metal, cutting through some of the plates that composed it, piercing into its feathers and flesh.
Yet it was stopped before it could cut farther and deeper, meeting a solid plate that halted its movements completely. Ellianor retreated his blade, the monster watched it bleed by its armor.
It cried and placed its shield before its body, but Ellianor stopped it, getting into the metaphorical kissing range and piercing through its feathered arm, lodging the blade between its wrist bones.
Before the monster could even as much leave out a cry, he tore the hand out, letting the shield fall on the ground, nullifying one of its advantages, and chance to use its cannon.
If it could not place a distance between them to use the cannon, it had one less weapon to use. The monster stepped back, as more cries came from behind it, from its allies.
It cried louder, enraged, and moved the blade with so much strength that the vacuum in its wake was palpable. Ellianor widened his eyes.
