Kissenn rolled her shoulders. While she slept well and tight, her body was sore because of the training. 'And the shit that happened yesterday.'
She came back from the dead at the same time as Ellianor, but his words were worse, for some reason, and it was why he took a nap instead of waking up immediately. 'That was what Urien told me.'
A glance at her friend revealed him to be healthier, even healthier than she was.
'Or he was lying, or there is something else at play.' Kissenn was aware of the system, and its possible powers.
Was it what caused his sudden recovery, or there was something she could not understand yet? 'It could be the Eclipse…' It rang a bell in her head, but what that belt was meant to be was lost in her brain.
The path to the information existed in her neurons, but data no longer existed, it had been deleted or corrupted. It left a strange itch in her skull. 'Scrap that, I will think about it later.'
She couldn't remember what was in her mind, so there was no point in thinking about that.
Kissenn watched as Ellianor filled his inventory with food, and dumped two cheap-looking objects on the ground.
An armor and a sword. 'I don't think even junkyards would buy those things.' They were the cheapest-looking objects she had ever seen. 'Were you a raccoon before we met or something like that?'
Kissenn blinked, and the cheapy objects were gone, carried away by Yuri. Ellianor waved at her, a wide smile on his face as he made his way to her. "Alright, I got all the food."
"Then come to me, I will guide you towards your transportation to the mission." The woman moved away. Kissenn narrowed her eyes on her back.
She stared at Ellianor, and there was no aura on her. Her face was like a porcelain mask that hid all emotion. A faint smile, and a pleasant expression that told nothing about her heart.
Kissenn disliked her, down to the bone. 'And she was staring at him the whole time. Why?' The system was interesting, at last to Kissenn, but for them, it was old news.
'Is it because of the Eclipse? Or do you have other plans?' Kissenn cursed her lack of memories, maybe if she had more experiences and social skills, she could decipher that woman.
Ellianor looked at his friend gazing intensely at Aur's back.
'You will be like that with every girl I interact with?' He sighed and tapped Kissenn on the shoulders.
She whelped at the sudden touch, her concentration broken. "Let's go, now we have a mission to fulfill."
She stared at him, a little heartbroken, pouting like a child. "Hey, don't break my funk like that. I wanted to curse that woman a little more."
She barely got all the curses she had in her mind at the woman. Ellianor's face palmed, and his eyebrows twitched violently.
"Let's go already."
Ellianor's aura was heavy and dark, his orange eyes filled with annoyance and disappointment. Kissenn cowered beneath his gaze. "But, but!"
Orange eyes flared, as Kissen felt the greatest horror of her life at that moment.
"No buts or I am getting the belt." her eyes became white, her form small against the cold and unwavering gaze.
Kissenn nodded her head, as Ellianor's eyes relaxed, and so did the aura around him.
"So, Aur is going to leave us behind." With a sigh, the black-haired man powerwalked toward the blue-haired alien.
Her friend followed after him. Aur laughed as she turned her gaze on them. "You two are great friends. Well, pairs are rare but not unheard of in the Wardens".
Her voice was filled with amusement, but what was funny to her was not something they could see. 'What is wrong with working in pairs?'
Unless they had a stupid rule about spreading manpower thin, it was not that unusual for people to work with those they liked, or disliked.
They exited by a corridor on the opposite end of the one that led to their dorm. The space was shown on both sides of the walls, the vacant space, and the bright star.
'The displays they use are incredible.' It was impossible for a corridor to cover two of the sides at the same time since there would be objects blocking their view, the space station itself was a blockage.
'In earth, we had those two, but I think those are not simulations or animations but the real deal… Ha, who do I want to fool? I know those are the real deal.'
It was just as mesmerizing as the first time. The space was massive and beautiful. "Don't worry. We will take a spaceship to move around. You guys will have an even better view of space."
Kissenn's hair perked up like wolf ears, as Elliianor's eyes widened, almost jumping off his face. "An honest-to-God spaceship?"
Ellianor was a child once, and like most children, he dreamed of space, aliens, and of course, spaceships. He never expected to enter one in his lifetime.
'That's the chance of a life right before me.' Ellianor hoped it was standard issue for all missions, to take a ship and fly through the edges of space to reach their mission.
"Yes. We are going to the hangar of our dear and humble spaceship." Aur spoke with pride, her red eyes sharpened by pride. After all, few could have a hangar like that at their back and call.
It was just one edge of the space station. "Wow. I mean, it is expected of a space station to have a hangar to dock their ships, right?"
The black-haired man tried to contain his excitement, as Kissenn was conflicted over joining the talk, and begrudgingly acknowledging Aur, or keeping her distance, despite how fun the topic sounded.
"Only for the biggest ones. It is unusual for space stations to have large hangars. This place, Crimson Void, is an exception. It is as ancient as some of our members."
Even their spaceship was secretive, and an anomaly unto itself.
