The door opened, and Millie rushed in. She looked at us for a beat, then sighed and folded her arms over her chest. I felt so embarrassed and tried pushing Poppy away, but he refused. This dragon could read the room.
"Millie," I said, struggling to move away. Finally, Poppy let go and frowned at me. Oh, please. "I was going to come see you, but..."
"I can see you were busy," she said, and my face reddened. "Are you okay?" she asked, and I nodded, grateful that she dropped the topic. "I'll come back later," she sighed, turning to leave.
"No, wait," I said hurriedly.
"Do you know how worried I was?" Millie asked, and I paused for a moment. "If you were with Poppy, you should have at least sent a message to let me know you're okay. I knew Lady Lilyanne was lying when she said you ran off," she said, looking angry.
