Byakuya's words provoke Doflamingo like a volcano about to explode.

He stood up abruptly, his eyes bloodshot with rage, and directed a murderous intent at Byakuya.

His Conqueror's Haki was almost palpable, exerting an invisible pressure on him.

"Oh, getting angry, are we, Doflamingo? You think you can take me on here?"

With his hands in his pockets and legs propped on the table, Byakuya leaned back in his chair and spoke calmly.

"If you want to fight, go ahead. I'm actually hoping you do."

Doflamingo gritted his teeth. "You're Byakuya?"

He had seen Byakuya's photos before but quickly forgot him, dismissing him as a 'minor character' despite his rank as Marine Rear Admiral.

Yet, this 'minor character' displayed arrogance, practically daring him to fight.

Byakuya met Doflamingo's gaze and suddenly smirked.

"Yes, I am. And let me tell you, it's not just Trebol. That guy pretending to be dead, Diamante—after his interrogation, I'll kill him slowly, one cut at a time."

"You're courting death!" Enraged by Byakuya's taunts, Doflamingo couldn't contain his fury. His Conqueror's Haki erupted like a volcano.

Instantly, the weaker Marines around the meeting room fell unconscious.

Even the higher-ranking officers struggled to stay on their feet, barely able to move.

Without hesitation, Doflamingo attacked Byakuya right in front of Sengoku.

"Five-Color String!" His right hand extended like a beast's claw, with five nearly invisible threads stretching from his fingertips.

These threads, honed over years of mastering his Devil Fruit, could cut through steel effortlessly.

Byakuya's eyes sparkled with excitement. He hadn't expected Doflamingo to attack, and even the World Government couldn't fault him if he killed it now.

After all, Doflamingo attacking a Marine Rear Admiral at Marine Headquarters was an outright insult.

If the World Government blamed Byakuya, the Marines would surely revolt.

Byakuya sneered, "If you're so eager to join your snot-nosed friend, I'll send you to him now."

Byakuya's left hand gripped his sword's hilt, his thumb pushing the blade out half an inch.

A sharp aura flashed, and before the blade was fully drawn, Doflamingo's threads were cut in two. The severed threads drifted to the ground.

Doflamingo exclaimed in disbelief, "How... how is this possible?" No one understood the strength of his threads better than him.

Even a master sworder would struggle to cut them. Yet, Byakuya had severed them without fully drawing his sword.

A commanding voice interrupted as Byakuya prepared to draw his blade fully and finish Doflamingo off.

"Doflamingo, do you realize where you are? Do you think you can act wild here?"

With a thunderous shout, Sengoku unleashed a powerful golden shockwave that hit Doflamingo square in the chest.

Caught off guard by Sengoku's sudden attack, Doflamingo was sent flying and embedded deeply into the wall, spiderweb cracks spreading around him.

His face turned red as he tried to speak but instead coughed up blood, his breath weakened.

He couldn't believe that Sengoku would attack him to protect Byakuya. Despite Byakuya's impressive strength, Doflamingo didn't think he was weaker.

He believed that he could quickly kill Byakuya in a real fight because he knew his strength.

Sengoku's attack only reinforced this belief: Sengoku was willing to use force to protect Byakuya.

Seeing Doflamingo struck down by Sengoku, Byakuya didn't sheath his sword, Kazemune.

He frowned at Sengoku and asked, "Fleet Admiral Sengoku, what is the meaning of this?"

Given their proximity, Byakuya was confident he could have killed Doflamingo with a single strike.

Sengoku's shockwave had seemingly saved Doflamingo under the guise of protecting Byakuya.

Sengoku noticed Byakuya's increasing murderous intent and that he still hadn't put away his sword, hinting that he might even turn it on him.

Sengoku cursed inwardly at Byakuya's fickle nature. Just moments ago, Byakuya had been calling him "Uncle Sengoku" warmly, and now he was ready to fight him.

Sengoku had stopped Byakuya from killing Doflamingo for Byakuya's good. Doflamingo was a Celestial Dragon, a fact not widely known but clear to Sengoku.

Despite being shunned by the other Celestial Dragons, his lineage couldn't be denied.

If Byakuya killed Doflamingo, it would likely anger some Celestial Dragons. Sengoku was also preparing to recommend Byakuya for a promotion to Marine Vice Admiral.

If Byakuya killed Doflamingo, that promotion would be off the table. However, Sengoku couldn't reveal these details publicly.

He forced an explanation, "Byakuya, you're my nephew. How could I stand by and let you get hurt?"

Vice Admiral Tsuru, listening, could tell Sengoku was lying again.

Reisun noted in his mind that Sengoku was willing to severely injure Doflamingo to protect his nephew Byakuya.

Doflamingo, seeing this, grew even angrier, spitting out another mouthful of blood.

Byakuya, understanding that Sengoku's actions had deeper motives, sheathed Kazemune and said calmly, "If that's the case, then thank you, Uncle Sengoku."

Sengoku breathed a sigh of relief, seeing Byakuya wouldn't pursue the matter further.

Given Byakuya's strength, any fight between him and Doflamingo would have severely damaged the Marines, regardless of the outcome.

Sengoku was relieved that Byakuya was willing to back down.

Before Sengoku could fully relax, Byakuya added, "But now that I'm an adult, I can make my own decisions without troubling Uncle Sengoku."

Sengoku cursed inwardly again, thinking, 'What an ungrateful brat!'
