Alan was dead. It still didn't feel right to Adam. But standing in the midst of the rubble, he felt it deep inside of him. The charred remains notwithstanding, Alan was someone who walked with him when nobody else wanted to, when he knew no one.
He finally understood what Cincinnati was trying to say to him all this while. He never thanked Alan and now, it was too late. Did Alan hate him before he passed on? Did he wish Adam died too?
"This is a mess," Crystal said, her voice neutral. He couldn't tell if she cared or not that where The Graveyard once stood, only ashes remained. The trashy techs piled up the the high heavens were gone too, and everything else.
"It is a colossal mess. Do you have an idea of how many people live here?" Crystal turned to Cincinnati, looking for answers.
