Layla ended the conversation with the Brine King as the spider began to toss out more attacks.
"She is no longer herself... So pay heed to her movements as she can be very erratic. Now then, shall I get on with the next film? I'm sure it would be a very interesting part of the play..." said Sander as he winked at the group.
"You scare me..." said the Loplin as he remained away from the group.
Meanwhile, Layla quickly pulled out her scythe and deflected some minor blows from the spider's kicks. However, things became complicated when Arakaali started spewing out large webs that could burn the rocks.
"Revenge and Resentment... Let those minds twist... The prison of all tortured souls shall ring true and come forth on my command! The only place to hold the fearsome Titans. Let us set the stage for today's play!" yelled the Grim Reaper as he spun his scythe above his head.
The group watched in awe as the area's plant life started to wither and die, with streams of black Elemental Energy being sucked in by the Ankou's spinning scythe. The spell was working its power while changing the landscape to a more dangerous place.
If the group wasn't careful, the Ankou may be the only one to come out of this battle alive.
"Dungeon of Tartarus!" yelled the Ankou as the entire chamber was engulfed with darkness.
Despite the change of scenery, the trio could still see clearly but felt the weight of the Dark Element on their shoulders. But the worst to be affected by it was the Mother of Webs, who was losing her sanity as she started attacking randomly.
"Good luck trying to think clearly in this Dungeon... Even the powerful Titans and Olympians fear this place so much that they rather fall into Hell than wake up here. I've always wanted to use this spell on something for the past few hundred years..." said the Grim Reaper.
"Few... Hundred years?!" echoed the spider, frantically shaking.
"That's right; you haven't seen me since I've got this new face. Mother Of Webs, once called the Mother Of Water Babies, look how far you've fallen. It pains me to see you in such a sorry state. Nevertheless, I must uphold my duty as the Ferryman to the Afterlife."
"No... No... NO! This can't be! It's not possible... I have still years to claim! How could you be here so early and working with the mortals?!"
"That is none of your concern and it doesn't matter if you have another century. If I have determined that your time's up, then I won't leave empty-handed. Are you ready, little spider? I'm after you now," warned the Ankou as his mouth curved into a terrifying smile.
To everyone's shock, the spider started to laugh violently with a crazed look in her eyes.
"You may boast yourself as the Ankou but from what I'm sensing, something is wrong with your manifestation... You're not as powerful as your normal form since you have to rely on mere mortals to take me down!"
"Hey! Who the hell are you calling mere mortal?!" hollered a very offended Brine King.
The Mother of Webs then turned to face the source of the voice, tilting her head in confusion before the Brine King snapped his fingers to show off his Elemental Aura of Brine. Arakaali then backed away in horror as painful memories flooded back into her head.
"You... But you... How could you be here?! They said that you've been killed... And yet, you're standing before me as the Dragoon that slayed you? My once beloved... Has now come to kill me?! I will not allow that to happen!" shouted the spider in anger.
"I'm not here alone, you know... I am one with the girl who has nicely given me this body to walk the realm again. Instead of descending into madness like you, I took the better path and accepted my fate!" yelled the Brine King as the girl within him smiled.
Vastra Arakaali may have once been the Queen of his choosing but Layliasfeld Roydon was now looking like a Goddess in front of the Brine King as she smiled. And for the very first time in years... The King could hear the pure voice of a heart again.
"I will make you suffer for leaving me alone in my Temple..." growled Arakaali as she attempted to strike the standing Dragoon, only to be deflected by the scythe of the Ankou.
The Brine King seemed impressed that the Grim Reaper would have the heart to protect him.
"Don't forget that I'm here too, Cursed Shadow Spinner," thundered the Grim Reaper.
"DO NOT CALL ME BY THAT NAME!" screeched the Mother of Webs as she spewed out a massive wave of thick green poison.
