Chapter 73 - From Water To Fire

The Dragoon smiled, tilting her head to the side.

"Why are you smiling like that? I don't like that... Don't smile like that, please. I already have a very hard time looking at you, don't make it impossible too..." complained the Brine King, grabbing the Dragoon's head and turning it away from his face.

"Oi! Careful with my head! Your claw isn't exactly Dragoon-friendly!" yelled Layla, gripping the Brine King's limb to get rid of it.

"Then don't grin like that! You remind of a little girl with pink hair who could read minds when I was still normal! I don't like her face back then and I don't like it now!"

"Fine! Anyways, have you forgotten what we've discussed with the other males? About Arakaali having Temple followers..."

"Yes, I do remember. What about it? Vastra used to have a massive following of individual as she was the deity to pray to when a female wants to have a water birth. And, as I've said, she was very familiar with small kids. But I'm not following what you're hinting at..."

"What has that got to do with you going against Arakaali? You're not going to win the monster over with a sob story..."

"Men are really that thick, aren't you lot..."

"Oi! I'm not thick in that sense... I may be mentally sick but at least I'm physically thick! Anyways, you're going to have to give me more clues to understand what you're trying to get that..."

"I'm not going to give you straight answer since it's so obvious... Have fun figuring it out," said the Dragoon, standing up from her place.

"Oh... If I ever do get separate body from you and meet you in the normal realm, I'm going to spa-"

"Okay! That's enough rest for now!" exclaimed Layla, sitting up back into the normal world.

She let out a little laugh as she could feel the Brine King cursing at her. The girl's eyes then trailed off towards the sleeping Loplin, who seemed very peaceful in his slumber.

"I wonder what could this ball of fur be dreaming about... So adorable..." whispered the Dragoon as she gingerly stroked Matt's furry brown ears, which twitched a little.

"Honestly, too cute to be alive."

Unbeknownst to the fangirling Dragoon, the Loplin could feel his ears being stroked and nearly acended to the pearly gates. Matt shook the feeling off as he continued with what he was doing in his inner world. Which was... What was the bunny doing?

Matt observed the landscape, which happened to be very different compared to the one with Ifrit. And hopefully, that annoying cloud wont appear... The place had pale yellow skies with pulled white cotton candy within it.

He then stepped forward, noticing that the ground was azure-colored glass. The Loplin shurgged as he carreied forward, knowing that this realm belonged to the being that he was going to use in the next battle. Maybe the person needs to talk with him?

Luckily, Matt didn't have to ponder any longer as the said being he'd been thinking about appeared before him. The Sun God, he who was in charge of bringing in the day of the world. The Major God of the Fire Grid arrived before the rabbit in his gold and flamed chariot.

The Greek personification of the Sun had a medium-sized, human stature with white feathered wings on his temples. He was semi-clad in golden armor, with his helmet, elbow guards and gauntlets noticibly missing.

Helios had a slightly tanned skin as compared to the other humanoid Gods while his eyes and curly short hair were both coloured gold. Reminded Matt of some stature he had seen within the manuscripts that humans used to make.

Then again, deities weren't meant to have a solid form since a simple body could never hold their essence properly. The body would explode and who knows what their powers could do to the current realm...

"I know it's been far too long since I've asked for your help but you've seen what I have... We need your power to defeat the Shadow Trio. And I am aware at what my limits would be, so no need to remind me-"

"You ramble on too much for my ears, Long Ears. Just tell me, which spell you intend to ask from me again?"

I might kill him again if he gives him this kind of attitude... If I put you in the ground before, I can do it again! Damned etherial being... Whose body are you using?! The Loplin could feel his flames rushing from his heart to his head.

"It's common decency and courtesy to address the situation, give me my reason and then ask you for a favor... Anyways, I need the double shot technique from your Skillset and I won't ask for anymore."
