Chapter 74 - Helios Vs Matt

"Not as if your body could withstand using more than one spell in my arsenal... And it has been a while since you've visited me, so before I happily lend you that spell, shall we have a little fun first?" questioned the Sun God as he hopped back into the chariot.

"Why do all the things in my head love to pick a fight with me?! Argg... I need to find myself a Skillset that doesn't like to be so hostile against its host..." complained the Loplin, as he drew out his gun.

The rabbit jerked as he realized that his gun had not gone back to normal. Instead of being the regular sawed-off shotgun, the weapon was still the fiery and beautiful musketoon from the battle against Arakaali.

"No way... The fire beast allowed me to keep this?! Maybe that thing isn't that bad after all..." murmured Matt as his eyes gawked at his musektoon.

"I don't recall you ever having that outfit or weapon before... Has it truly been that long since we've faced each other?" questioned Helios as he snapped his fingers, allowing a brown whip to appear in his grasp.

Matt blinked a few times before frantically looking at what he was wearing. The Felidae's armor?! But that's... Impossible... He'd just tried it on for the very first time yesterday?! The Sun God shook his head in disappointment.

"It is still amazing that you've come this far without dying several times over..." noted Helios.

"Hey! Don't say as if I'm mentally challenged!"

"I'm not so sure about that..."

"Oi! You lost to me when I was at my weakest... You've got no say!" yelled the Loplin as he charged up his gun with his orange flames.

"Hmph, we shall see about that!" replied the Sun God as he cracked his whip, causing it to burst into bright golden flames with streams of orange surrounding it.

As he did so, the chariot instantly kicked into high gear to mow down the standing Loplin.

"Acting all proud again..." said the rabbit as he dodged out of the charging chariot's way.

Matt instantly shot out a few more fire bullets towards the turning chariot, which were deflected by the enemy's flaming whip. The Loplin cursed as he fired off more shots while also dodging the raging chariot of the Sun God.

He contemplated using Ifrit's Embers but it would confuse his inner mind and world. Not to mention that the Embers Skillset does little to no damage against Helios. Then again, the Loplin's usual attacks don't do anything but better not to waste his Elemental Energy.

Worth a shot, thought the Loplin as he leaped into the air.

"Arsonist's Gang!" yelled Matt as he flipped upside-down and fired off 5 shots in midair toward Helios.

The quintuple fireballs followed the chariot as Helios drove it around the area, exploding each time when upon contact with a physical object. But the rabbit cursed as he knew his attack power wasn't enough even to scratch both owner and carriage.

Contrary to popular belief, this version of Helios does not use the power of two pegasus to move. Instead, it drags the Sun via Helio's powers and strength.

This makes this being far stronger than the other iterations and more dangerous for the rabbit. In other words, the Loplin was facing against a God who could pull the Sun with nothing but a rickety chariot.

Okay... Maybe rickety isn't the best way to describe the only item durable enough to haul the Sun over the planet while having a shouting God standing on top of it. If anything, that thing needs to be paid overtime with the amount of work being placed on it.

"I must say, your dodging skills have improved since we've last met but your attacks are still lacking. This begs the question... Have you actually upgraded yourself? Anyone can roll over and miss my whiplash but when will you show me that you deserve this spell?"

Something in the Loplin's head snapped as he had enough of Helios' taunts. The angered bunny stood right in the path of the charging Helios and kept his gun in his holster, which was now situated on his back due to its new size.

The Sun God seemed perplexed but shook off the expression as he was determined to defeat the Loplin with every ounce of his strength. He then cracked his whip, causing his ride to surge forward, leaving a blazing trail behind.

"Better dodge now, little bunny!" yelled Helios.

"You wished."

The livid bunny merely lifted his left leg to stop the racing chariot with a single foot and slowly gazed at the once proud Sun God with his piercing green eyes. Helios seemed confused as he looked to the sides, noting that the wheels were going at full power.
