Chapter 69 - Crimson In The Air

"My mother's vagina... I have no clue where the Brine King is from. Also, I've been here before you even tried on that thing. And all I have to say is that you've got a good body!" complimented Layla, with two thumbs up and a smile.

Mattheos Rosenberg could've sworn that the Dragoon had a nosebleed before quickly wiping the evidence. In any other situation, the rabbit would be happy to receive that compliment... But not right now.

"You truly have to stop doing this to me... Someday, someone's going to find us in an awkward situation and I want no part in that..." said the Loplin as he turned away to hide his blushing cheeks.

"Aww... Come on! Why are you so shy? And it's not as if I've said anything bad about your body. You have to loosen up, learn to have some fun, and be proud of what you have!" cheered Layla as she smiled.

"Oh, you've got no clue how I was before... I'd rather not relive that part of my past, thank you very much. My body ain't that great compared to the rest of the beings around you or that you've met during your Bartending times," replied Matt, smirking at the young girl.

Layla then hopped off the bed and approached the Loplin with a playful look.

"Oh? That makes my compliment all the more significant... Because out of the many males I have seen and attended to..."

The cheeky Dragoon sprouted her wings and levitated from the ground to reach the poor blushing mess of a rabbit's ears.

"You are the perfect package for life," whispered the Dragoon as she gave the Loplin a peck on the cheek.

Needless to say, the Alpha-ranked Loplin had steam coming out of his two fluffy ears as he turned to grab Layla by the shoulders and forced her back onto the bed. Matt then leaned in close to her face, slightly nuzzling his nose on hers.

The girl giggled as the rabbit did so, secretly hoping that Matt would continue. He then slowly moved to her neck, like before. But this time, Layla wanted the bunny's touch and waited for it, not understanding that Matt was not having any of this 'play'.

The rabbit then released her arms before stepping out of the bed and looking in the mirror to calm down, leaving the girl confused.

"After what happened days ago, you expect me to pull such a thing on you? Hmph... I don't know your ultimate goal, but you won't trap me like that. Anyways, you said that I should my powers with this thing? "

"I do feel that it's easier to control my powers compared to the one before. My mobility is better than when I was using my previous gear..." Matt questioned as he adjusted his outfit.

Layla looked sad as she turned to her side, not wanting to answer to the evil bunny. As the rabbit called out to the Dragoon, all she let out was a little 'Hmph' and refused to say anything else.

"Hm? Giving me the silent treatment, huh? It won't be the first time... You are one confusing girl, you know that? At first, you were the flirty one, then when I try to get close to you, you freak out. Granted, when I did pounce, I was under a drug but still..."

"You confuse me, more than this suit... I think. Well, here goes nothing," said Matt as he closed his eyes to summon up his gun and Element.

When he reopened his eyes, Matt was shocked as he looked at the mirror. The black and dull gunslinger coat had changed its chest vest, cuffs, and elbow guards into a crimson red while the linings and buttons were now amber-orange.

He then gave a twirl, noticing that his lower cape was also crimson but upon closer inspection, the ends of it were in flames. Matt smiled as he glanced at his boots, which were still soot black but now had anklets with bright orange flames.

"Good lord, I love this!" yelled the Loplin, wanting the Dragoon to stop her mini-pouting session and take a look.

Layla did so, albeit begrudgingly. She sat up and brought her knees close to her chest while peeking at the rabbit's outfit for a bit before looking away.

"Oh, come on! This looks cool, right? I can't believe that Teemo could make this... I honestly should've asked him to do more of this for me way back in the past. But judging by this, I am damned sure that your outfit is going to be great as well," smiled the happy bunny.

"Do you think I'm too flirty? Or too trusting of others around me?" muttered the Dragoon as she tried her best to hide her voice cracks.
