Two weeks after Diane moved to Dubai with Christian, her mother called.
"I heard you took your late sister-in-law's kids under your wings and instead of continuing with your career, you chose to be a housewife and a nanny. Is that true??"
Diane's first reaction would have been to ask where she heard such news from, but knowing her mother's character, plus the fact that she didn't want to mince words with her, she directly answered her question.
"Everything you heard is correct. Yes, I am the new mother to my husband's nephews and yes, I am taking a break from my career to raise them."
"What???" Celine was shocked by the confidence in Diane's tone. She wasn't expecting that she would be proud of that rubbish behaviour.
