Without knowing, the immense pain Diane was supposed to feel never came and she didn't realize it until Christian had gone past the barrier and was now rocking himself inside her, freely.

The pure unfiltered joy that filled her heart when realization hit her was not comparable to anything. Even Christian knew what had happened when their gazes met.

The corner of his lips curved into a smile as he leaned in to kiss her lips deeply before pressing a light heart-fluttering kiss on her forehead.

"Good girl," he said, praising her for finally meeting her fears head-on and winning the battle of wits against it. "I'm so proud of you."

Hearing his compliments, Diane felt more pleased and settled. She embraced him and breathed in his natural scent. She was proud of herself.

Christian had slowed down for a minute, but after they had recognised the special moment, he continued his hip movement to bring her pleasure in the end.
