"I thought you were never coming back here again?" Celine inquired as her gaze followed Diane till she took the single couch at her left.
Though Diane was here to start a fight, she wouldn't start it with the wrong train. She didn't bother responding to her question and just went ahead to settle on her couch before greeting her.
"Where is Dad?" she inquired, putting her bag behind her on the soft padded cushion.
A minute later, her father joined them on the patio with a bottle of wine and a smile on his face. He looked happy to have his daughter visit so soon, considering the last fight that drove her away in tears.
"Hi, Dad!" Diane greeted while wondering what the occasion was all about as her gaze fell on the bottle of expensive white wine in his firm grip. She was well aware that her mother wouldn't want to drink it anymore after hearing the reason she came home.
