"As much as I would want to go with you to see your family for this, I think it would be more respectful to them that you visit them on your own since they will be strongly against this," Christian said to her.
He was aware of how crazy that kind of news was going to make their families, so he thought it would be better if they both saw their families differently before fixing another date to visit together to lay their intentions again.
"You make a lot of sense," Diane agreed with him. "My mother will be madder if you come with me to break the news to her."
She could already picture the scene in her head, her mother losing her patience, manners and ethics to flip the table and call the security on Christian. The picture didn't look good.
"At least your Dad doesn't look like he is going to be much of a problem this time around," Christian said with a smile.
She narrowed her gaze at him. "Why do you say so? What gave you the confidence?"
