"I don't like your flimsy excuses!" Celine said. "I have never seen anyone who is not focused make progress. I raised you myself yet you don't even let that trait stay in you. Could it be because you are not…"

"Celine," Dr. Brown finally called out to her, getting everyone's attention. "Let it go."

There was no smile on his face when he made that statement, and he was not begging for him to be listened to.

He knew how to get his instructions to be carried out or listened to whenever a line was about to be crossed, and that was exactly what he did now.

Celine shifted her gaze to him as her chest heaved up and down. She was pissed, and she wasn't hiding it even when she glanced back at Diane who was equally upset.

Diane had stopped eating completely. She had her gaze lowered so no one could tell what look she had on her face and what she was thinking.
