I snapped out of my trance again when he suddenly stalked towards me, his gaze never leaving mine and throwing my reasoning off balance.
Oh goddess what do I do? Why can't I move?
I felt tension build within me, I didn't know if I should leave or stay. I let my nails dig into my palms and I quickly shut my eyes.
Cold sweat trickled down my face, and I struggled to breathe when I felt his presence almost in front of me but then he stopped.

I opened my eyes to see she Nathaniel step in his path. Now that's a surprise.
"Mate?!" Nate questioned, pure sarcasm laced in it."Your witches must have f**ked up their spell.....because she can not be your mate,"
"And why is that?" Alpha Ambrose questioned with a monotone voice, suddenly breaking eye contact and moving his gaze to Nate, this surprisingly left me feeling bereft.
At this point they were standing too close to each other.
Nate's eyes were a bright blue now, his veins popped out and his sharp claws visible, right now he looked like an enraged bull which is opposite of the man standing in front of him.
The Alpha looked at him with so much disregard that it was almost impassive and unbothered, he looked calm as he stared down at Nate who he is a foot taller than.
Even with Nate's pheromones running wild,he still looked like an ant that is begging to be squash any minute now.
Nate's eyes widened slightly for a brief moment at the Alpha's question then he seems at a loss for words.
"Nate" Kai chided knowing the kind of fire Nate is playing with.
But even after being chided by his Alpha he still is too stubborn to heed to discipline.
This is not good, at this rate, if Nate continues he will be putting the pack in harm's way.
Nate was never one to act with rationality, he acted more on his whim rather than reasoning, believing more in his strength to fulfill pack obligations, yes being smart was never his forte. If it was he would know better than to go against this man that is rumored to be the devil himself, merciless and unforgiving.
"NATE!" Kai scolded again with a warning growl to which Nate angrily redrew back, creating distance between them, I could see how he grits his teeth and it is clear that he is at the verge of attacking the Lycan in front of him.
"your pups truly lack intellect, I can see he is quite ready to lose his life,"
Tension filled the room at the Alpha's words and it suddenly became hard for me to breathe.
"I'll be sure to give my men proper discipline Alpha Ambrose but for the matter at hand," Kai began"I'm afraid I cannot give my sister to you as she has been promised to another"He took at few steps forward.
What exactly are you up to Kai? I couldn't help but wonder, the Kai I know wouldn't miss an opportunity to gain more power, or has he truly realized that avoiding this man will really be in the best interest of the pack?
"And who is my competition?" The other Alpha seemed amused.
"Alpha Sergio, he has already laid claim on her," Kai explained, as he gestured to the other Alpha standing across the room from the scene.

I have completely forgotten about him, he has an expressionless look in his face,and I noted how the corner of his brow furrows suddenly, the scar running down his left eyes drawing into a scowl.
The whole room moved their gaze to him in anticipation.
The room became as silent as a graveyard.
"Who am I to stop what the goddess has ordained? I lay no claim to the princess,"He muttered, as his crossed his hands in front of him, revealing his shredded forearms.
I felt fear creep onto my skin, even Alpha Sergio with his vicious reputation couldn't dare to oppose this man.
" You will deny me what the goddess has given me?" Alpha Ambrose's lips twitch up in a smirk.
I know this question is directed to my brother but I couldn't help but feel the shivers run down my spine when his gaze suddenly flickered to mine. I guess he must have notice my brother making excuses.He chuckles darkly, his scent of intimidation flooding the entire room, thick and heavy almost sending my into a stumble.
I close my eyes again knowing things we're about to go south but everything suddenly stopped when I felt his presence in front of me. I could smell his scent even more and it plays with my senses, this man excites and scares me at the same time,my breaths were suddenly rushed.

I snapped my eyes open at the very command, he pines me with a deadly stare and I couldn't help but gasp when I felt his hand on my chin, his voice calm and gentle like the way he lifts my chin.
"If you do not believe me ask the female what happened when our eyes met," He continued and I froze when the entire room moved their gaze to me.
For a moment I couldn't speak but my eyes found their way back to his and I somehow suddenly felt empowered.
"An undeniable pull and throbbing in my center, like...." My breath hitch for a moment as I speak with my gaze fixed on him, though lost for breath I quickly found my voice and continued boldly."Like the need to be possessed and made one with the one the moon goddess has chosen,"
Gasps suddenly filled the room, I saw my Aunt yuna's lips pull into thin lines, my brother has an impassive look as always but I could tell he is also surprised. I moved my face to the other people in the room and all I could see was shock and disgust at what had just happened.
When my eyes fell on Juliana, her eyes were almost bulging then I caught the unmistakeable hint of jealousy, Nate on the other hand seems rather surprised with his mouth hanging slightly open but I didn't let my eyes linger for long on them, how could I when this man is practically in front me?
He looked at me with those eyes again, he is.... Studying me but why?
He's eyes suddenly flashed red with anger.
"Anyone that has a hand in causing my mate this much pain is now deemed my enemy, I do not give a f**k who you are to her, you hurt her and in turn you've hurt me,"He speaks with his gaze still fix on me.
