"Alyssa?" Alex muttered, his face squeezing into a questioning gaze,
"Yes," Nathan bobbed his head. He adjusted on his seat to properly face Alex, "They met recently," He disclosed,
"What?!" Alex's voice came out in a deep shocked breath, "What—what reason could Alyssa possibly have to meet up with my sister? What could they even possibly have to talk about?" He pondered out loud.
Alyssa was someone who had worked for him for years, someone he used to rely on, and someone he trusted till date despite the fact that their last interaction ended badly.
Alex didn't want to think the worst of Alyssa after what he just heard about her meeting up with his sister—the same crazy sister who for years had desperately yearned to take what was his, but it was hard to make up a legitimate reason in his head when it was already starkly clear what it was.
