Chapter 2 - The Will of the Living

The road stretched endlessly before them, Jimothy's patience wearing thin. "We've been walking forever. How long is this road?" he sighed, the weariness in his voice evident.

"We're just approaching the next village. We can stop there and get a room," Vman assured him, his voice calm.

"But are we sure? I don't think we have enough money," Jimothy said, his concern palpable.

"Villages are usually hospitable. If we offer to help with chores, they might give us a room for a day," Vman suggested optimistically.

Jimothy squinted ahead. "Look, I think we see the village!" he exclaimed, hope rekindling in his eyes.

"I don't see anything," Vman said, puzzled. "What do you mean?"

Before Jimothy could respond, a blinding flash struck him, sending him sprawling to the ground.

"Jimothy, what happened? Are you okay?" Vman rushed to his side, his worry apparent.

"My left arm's restraint almost got destroyed! This guy is trying to kill us!" Jimothy grimaced, clutching his arm protectively.

A mysterious figure stepped forward, his presence commanding attention. "I'm here to free Seiku from his chains. Stop me, and you die," he declared coldly.

Vman and Jimothy readied their weapons, ready for a fight. "Who are you?" Vman demanded.

"My name is Dysco. I'm a follower of Seiku. I see you can manifest your ID into a Zeliot," Dysco explained, his tone tinged with arrogance.

"A Zeliot? What nonsense are you speaking of?" Vman retorted, his confusion evident.

Dysco smirked. "It's a weapon manifestation of our Drift abilities. Let me show you." With a swift motion, he created a whip sword out of thin air.

"How did you do that? That's impossible!" Vman exclaimed, his astonishment clear.

Dysco shrugged off the question. "I'm not telling you. The last thing I need is more problems."

Vman's expression hardened. "Don't be foolish. I can defeat you without my ID. My Drift might be weak, but it's enough."

"THEN DIE WEAK!" Dysco roared, attacking with ferocity.

Their battle raged on, Dysco displaying incredible speed and skill. Vman and Jimothy fought valiantly, but Dysco's power was overwhelming.

"You should have just run away. This guy is tough," Vman panted, his frustration growing.

"We're not getting out of here alive. I've seen one of Seiku's memories. He's too fast!" Jimothy warned, desperation in his eyes.

Suddenly, Dysco appeared before Jimothy, knocking him out with a swift blow.

"It would be a problem if he saw any more of Seiku's memories," Dysco muttered.

But before Dysco could strike again, a new figure emerged. "Hello, Dysco. I'm here to eliminate you from this reality entirely," the newcomer declared calmly.

Dysco sneered. "You can't compete with me. You're too weak."

"You're still ignorant of my power," the newcomer replied, his tone unwavering. "I already know your illusion tricks. You're not fast; you just control an illusion of yourself and that's it."

Dysco's eyes widened in shock. "I thought Seiku wiped that memory. My Blindclone Drift was supposed to be a secret!"

"My mind is untouchable. I told you and Seiku that you will die one day, even if it means by my hands," the newcomer said ominously.

Dysco lunged at the newcomer, but his attack was futile. With a swift motion, the newcomer struck Dysco down, causing him to scream in pain and tear apart, getting sucked into a pit of hell.

"What is this? What are you doing?!" Dysco's voice echoed in desperation.

"The ultimate technique. You monsters are nothing compared to us humans. This is called 'The Will of the Living.' Any being of non-human or sub-human genetics are instantly torn into pieces and sealed into hell," the newcomer explained, his voice chilling. "But I can only use it three times a year before losing all my Spirit for the remaining year."

Dysco's defiance persisted. "This isn't over. Seiku has more followers!"

"Oh well, I'll see you in hell," the newcomer said dismissively.

With Dysco gone, the newcomer turned his attention to Vman. "Vman, you're going to play a big part in the fate of this world," he declared.

"What do you mean?" Vman asked, his curiosity piqued.

"You're going to be trained by me personally. Get Jimothy up; we're going to Celdrom immediately," the newcomer instructed, his voice firm.

Vman nodded, recognizing the gravity of the situation. He gently woke Jimothy, both of them preparing for the journey ahead, uncertain of the challenges they would face under the tutelage of this mysterious, powerful stranger.
