Chapter 1 - 01

Eun was the first to enter the classroom and said, "Come on Aumi, it's time for our next class."

I finally sat down at my desk and said, "Hey, Eun. You can't just enter the classroom like that, especially since this isn't our classroom."

"What?" wondered Eun, "And we know them, so it's not like they're strangers," she said.

"But still, it's their classroom and we can't just barge in," I remarked, shaking my head.

She said in an obnoxious way, "Okay, fine."

I crossed my arms and said, "You know you're my best friend, but don't give me that attitude."

As we continued to argue calmly, Sei came over.

"Hi Aumi, sorry to bother you. I just want to ask if I can borrow your English textbook?" Sei replied with politeness.

I gave her my textbook from beneath my desk and nodded as I gave it to her, reminding her to give it back to me right after she finished.

I saw a piece of paper under my desk while I was giving her my textbook.

Before anyone could see it, I covered it up. Sei thanked me and returned to her seat.

"Thank you so much, I'll return it later," Sei responded with a nod.

I grinned broadly and nodded before turning to look at the paper, which instructed me to open it.

Just as our math teacher came, I was going to open it, but instead I kept the paper once more and paid attention to the topic.

I shifted my attention away from the topic since it was so dull and opened the paper.

It stated...

Years have passed since we last wrote to one other, and yet here we are again. I'm flustered, but I have a girlfriend now, you know that right?. When I read your poem about me, I didn't realize you still had feelings for me.

From:

Kotoko Kuro

I was shocked and exclaimed, "What?!" as I glanced at the letter.

I bowed to apologize as I sat back down, startling everyone when I immediately blurted in disbelief.

How did he come across my letter? No, no, no. He wasn't supposed to receive that letter, hence, this can't be happening.

How should I start? Should I write him back? No, it's more awkward than the fact that he read your letter, Aumi.

Their math teacher said, "Okay, class. That's all for today, see you tomorrow." as they left the room.

N: Their homeroom teacher arrived as soon as their math teacher left.

Their homeroom teacher then exits, saying, "NT01, there will be no classes this afternoon. It's your study time, so I expect everyone to study and not slacking off. Alright, dismissed."

Eun snapped her fingers in front of Aumi, who was obviously nodding off, as soon as their teacher left.

She snapped her fingers and yelled, "Hello, earth to Aumi. Are you there?"

I'm at a loss for words on what to do. What if his girlfriend saw the letter? Most likely, she would kill me.

N: When Sei came up and gave Aumi a cheek pinch, she was able to pull Aumi back into reality.

Glaring at them, she said, "Ouch~ what the."

Sei apologized and said, "Sorry, I had to do it. You were spacing out again." She continued, "By the way, here's your textbook back."

She groans and tucks her textbook back under her desk, saying, "That hurts you know, and thanks for returning my book."

N: She dropped the paper that Sei quickly picked up and wondered about, not realizing it as she was putting her textbook back.

Curious, Sei handed it back to her and asked, "What's this? A love letter?"

"What? It's not a love letter. I have to go to the broadcast room," she grumbled, tucking the paper into her pocket. "Eun, would you mind helping me carry my belongings back to our classroom?" she requested.

"Don't worry, I got it. Now, go," Eun nodded before gathering Aumi's belongings.

While Sei waited for Eun to finish gathering her belongings, Aumi left as soon as Kuro and his group of friends entered the classroom. Kuro stood on the other side of the room, seeing Eun.

N: Biting her fingernails and holding the paper in her hands, as she starts to doubt herself.

Her eyebrow went up as she asked herself, "What am I going to do with you?"

With a heavy heart, she sat back down and tried to think of how she could reply to him.

"What if I wrote back to him and said that it was a mistake and it was for someone else, right?" She thought to herself.

With a sigh, she puts back the paper inside her pocket and began speaking into the microphone.

"Hello everyone, it's Aumi Fumi here to host today. I hope you enjoy the song I'm playing, which was requested by someone," she remarked as she turned on the speaker.

"Oh, what the heck. He already saw it, might as well write back but this is the last time I'm going to do it because this was a mistake" she thought to herself.

N: After that, she took out a piece of paper and scribbled down her message to him.

"Hi, it's been a long time. Anyways, about the poem that I wrote it was a mistake and it was for someone else and it wasn't for you. My apologies" She added in a loud voice. "That should do it, maybe this time he won't write back. Now, where should I put this? In my desk where I found it?" She thought to herself. "Yeah, maybe let's put it there after class ends"

N: She returned to her original classroom, NT01, when the bell rang. Where Eun and Sei were waiting for her.

"Aumi, welcome back." Sei chuckles and asks, "What was the name of the song you played? It was quite interesting."

"Yes, it was" She responds by adding "The title of the song was I Got You by twice, you should listen to it"

Sei nods and says, "Thanks, I'll look it up," while glancing through her phone.

"No worries," she continued, before getting ready to study.

Eun looked at her boredly and asked, "Your really studying?"

"Well, yes. It's our study time and you should study as well" she replied.

Eun murmured, "But I don't want to and I'm bored."

She handed Eun her textbook and remarked, "Then you should study, you know that your grades are dropping especially in English."

Eun groaned and asked, "Why study when you can help me?"

"True but still you need to get your grades up, if you don't your brother will scold you again" she added.

Eun grumbled, "I know that, but studying is so boring."

She smirked and said, "All right, since studying seems boring to you, shall I call Taki for you?"

Eun put Aumi's phone down and shook her head swiftly. "Don't you dare! I don't want him to know that I'm failing," Eun yelled.

Their president warned them, saying, "Yah! You two! Stop that, it's study time."

They continue to argue, but this time without saying anything, and then both bow and apologies.

Aumi looked around with a devious grin and remarked, "Very well then, let's not do it. But, might as well find someone for you to study with."

Eun gestured to her and said, "Ooh~ I recognize that look. Would you please stop that?"

She answered, "Unless you study, I would."

"Okay, fine. I'm going to study. Happy now?" Eun asks, turning around to acknowledge her defeat.

She said, "In fact, I am," as she carried on her studies.

N: Eun didn't notice that Taki had sat down next to her, pushing his desk next to her desk, as she sighed and continued to look irritated while fiddling with the textbook. Eun stopped what she was doing and concentrated on the textbook, appearing shocked, confused, and shy around him at the same time.

"It's on page 45, that's the task we're given," Taki replied quietly, flicking to the right page for her.

Aumi was behind them, smiled, and surreptitiously snapped pictures of the two of them who looked adorable together while Taki assisted Eun with her studies.

Eun wondered "Oh, so this is how you do it?" with curiosity.

"Yes, that's it. You've got that right," Taki says with a nod.

She went on, "I'm beginning to like English, after all."

"Me too," he said, chuckling lightly as he assisted her.

The class president bid farewell to everyone, saying, "Okay, everyone. It's time to go home. To those who are cleaners for today, kindly stay and to those who aren't, be safe on your way home."

N: All of the people had went home but Sei, Eun, and Aumi remained behind as the cleaners had already started to clean the classroom.

Eun said, "Let's head home, Aumi."

Aumi said, "You guys go ahead, I'm cleaning today."

They both waved goodbye to Aumi and walked away. "Oh, alright. Will go ahead, bye Aumi. Be careful when you get home," Sei replied.

" 10 minutes later "

One of her classmates said, "Great work everyone, let's go home since it's getting late."

Everyone nods and leaves the room. Aumi, who lingered, slips away to Kuro's classroom, hides the note she wrote there, and leaves too.

She thought to herself, "Hopefully, he'll soon realize that it was a mistake when he finds the letter."

"Aumi, you're falling behind. Come on!" exclaimed a classmate.

Aumi nods and walks away next to them.
