Chapter 142 - The Reason for Being Worried (1)

"Don't worry, I won't use magic." Damian promised to use only his physical strength, which gave the others a vague hope of being able to achieve it.

Himmel looked at Ari, hoping for answers, but when he turned his gaze, she was already attacking with a powerful magical spell.

Boom!

The ball of electric lightning struck Damian's body, but when she wanted to attack again, she discovered that a shadow was shooting towards their group.

"He's close..." Eisen murmured these words, but before he realized it, he had been struck in the chest.

Crack!

The impact was so strong that he crashed into a wall and couldn't get up again.

Heiter wanted to help him, but when he turned his head, Damian had kicked him in the stomach. "How?"

Himmel was the quickest to react, he moved at full speed and when he drew his sword, he only had time to launch one attack.

Boom!!!

Damian turned around, raised his hand, and the blade of the sword was stopped cold. "You are the strongest in the group, but it's still an insignificant power..."

"Huh?"

Boom!

When Damian defeated his daughter's friends in less than a minute, he walked towards her and said, "If you're going to venture into the real world, you must understand that death is one of the most insignificant things you can face."

"You always say that..." Ari looked into her father's eyes, showing her determination to face problems.

Damian smiled, stroked his daughter's hair, and said, "I had to eliminate millions of enemies just to give you a safe world to live in, and now that you want to venture out of that place, it makes me question many things."

"But if you want to go out, I just wanted to confirm how strong your friends are, and they surprised me a bit." Damian returned to his throne, while Frieren, with just a wave of her hands, healed everyone who had been knocked down.

When everyone stood up, Damian waited a few seconds before giving his verdict: "It's true, the war never ended, but I personally took care of eliminating all the most powerful demons around the world."

After finishing these words, Damian's face changed, showing some scars that he couldn't heal with magic and a reddish chest that connected many parts of his body, glowing red.

"My last battle was with a god named Sauron, and the battle of the five armies lasted a month. I can assure you that that night, hundreds of millions of demons were killed. But I was able to keep the place safe for millions of soldiers, and that's something we must respect."

"If all of you want to see the world, that's fine with me, but now you will understand better how we have managed things so far."

The war wounds on Damian's body were severe, and he had to undergo a special recovery method every so often to heal the wounds at a slow pace.

Frieren had a more humane look towards strangers; she looked at her daughter and said, "You will only be able to go to areas controlled by our advanced army; any action of yours could trigger many more things than a war."

Ari nodded and said, "I understand. I will stay in the controlled areas."
