"You have a terrifying look." Falken raised his sword and pointed it at the figure before him.
In front of him stood a scrawny yet incredibly tall man clad in dull scarlet armor, with several chains hanging from various parts of his body. His weapon was a long spear covered in blood, and his face remained hidden under a helmet as he stared directly into Falken's eyes.
"All of you are just a nuisance. Bring your lord to face me like a man." The figure opened his mouth slightly, and his words were spoken in a grating tone.
"How dare you summon my lord with your filthy mouth, beast?! I will rip your head from your body and make so many holes in your heart that your last sensation when you die will be seeing how I finish mutilating your body."
"Ha, ha, ha... Very well. First, I will deal with the babies so that the father who created them appears before me. I will prove to my enlightenment that I alone am enough to eliminate that pesky ant who dared to challenge my lord."
The man in red armor said, "By the way, you can be proud to die at the hands of the bear of darkness."
It seems his power surpasses that of an ordinary demon, but we are not ordinary!
'Yes, I will first cut his primes, but before that, we must see how skilled the enemy is and find out if he represents any real danger.'
Determined to eliminate the enemy, Falken said, "Attack formation; eliminate the enemy in a close-quarters assault."
"Yes, sir!"
At that moment, six battle auras burst forth in golden hues, and a coordinated attack from a commander and six paladins around him moved in unison.
As they had learned, there is no honor on the battlefield, as the only goal is to survive. This way, Falken was using his advantage to end this without any anomalies.
"Yes, come..." The man dubbed the "bear of darkness" raised his spear and assumed a defensive stance.
In this first attack, Falken took the lead, his body disappearing and reappearing like a ghost behind his enemy. His body emitted a powerful battle aura that was subtly contained in every part, making his speed akin to lightning.
However, unlike his subordinates, who were top-level paladins, his steps were silent and firm. As he moved towards the enemy, his feet barely seemed to touch the ground. He merely grazed the surface as he moved at high speed, just to test what the enemy was made of.
The man in red armor moved equally fast, releasing a dark energy entirely different from the battle aura and unrelated to any known magic.
A powerful and bloodthirsty enemy was about to make his first move!
In just a second, seven figures had already begun to test their speed, which was far superior to that of any normal human. There was no comparison; the Paladins, having mastered their skills, were incredibly powerful and were not lagging behind what seemed to be an apostle.
Crossing the dense battlefield, they appeared again in a clear landscape, moving from one place to another in mere seconds, only to return to a similar position as before. Some might say this was unnecessary, but others would argue that they were studying each other at this moment.
Now!
Falken twisted his body, momentarily increasing his speed, and the edge of his sword aimed for the enemy's head. The "bear of darkness" turned his body, and his sword met the attacker's, creating a wave of brute force clashes.
"Sword Art, Roar of the Sea Lion!"
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Three sword arts of the same technique were launched at Falken's back, who had disappeared seconds before those attacks reached him, causing those sword techniques to hit the enemy directly.
In the spot, a massive crater appeared, but the figure of the "bear of darkness" had vanished. Following the trail of his aura, a Paladin sensed a presence to his left and immediately expelled an abnormal amount of aura, wielding his sword.
Boom!
Acting instinctively, his sword clashed with the strike of a crimson spear that would have decapitated him had he not responded to the attack. But because he was in a bad stance, his body flew like an uncontrollable comet.
Crash!
"Sword Art, Golden Slash!"
A paladin swung his sword when he appeared in front of his enemy, cutting his chest with precision and causing blood to gush. However, Falken, who had a better perception of the battle, knew that this cut wasn't deep enough.
"Defend yourself!"
"Huh?" The knight sensed a black aura approaching and instinctively raised his sword over his chest, trying to protect his most vital organ. Seconds later, the spear's edge struck his sword, but miraculously, this last defensive move served its purpose, and the attack merely grazed his shoulder.
Boom!
The wounded paladin was hurled by the attack and crashed into a thick tree, momentarily knocked out of combat.
