Sigh... Lets try this again shall we.
At the dawn of time, when light and darkness was all that existed, there was only Absolute Being. He had long silver hair, pale white skin, and blank yellow eyes. He was always seen barefoot and wore silver robes, light brown armor, and a tall light brown hat.
To overcome his boredom, he split the light to create the Rulers. An ancient race of angelic humanoids. They were also referred as Fragments of Brilliant Light.
Then he split the darkness to create the Monarchs. An ancient race of monsters who seek to wipe out all life and cause destruction.
As the Monarchs were born to destroy the world and the Rulers were born to protect it, it wasn't long before they engaged in a devastating war with each other.
After eons of endless war with no victory in sight, the Rulers asked the Absolute Being to give them the strength to extinguish the Monarchs for good and finally put an end to the bloodshed. However, the Absolute Being did not reply and it was at that moment that the Rulers realized that their war with the Monarchs was mere entertainment to him, and that the Absolute Being did not want the war to end.
This fact along with the realization that the war would never end as long as the Absolute Being was alive led seven of the eight Rulers to rebel against their god.
Ashborn was the last and strongest Ruler. Known as the Greatest Fragment of Brilliant Light. As a Ruler, Ashborn was a burly white knight with large white wings, long silver hair, and glowing white eyes. He also wore silver robes with light tan armor and a grayish-blue cloak, and wielded a white sword with a light tan guard and a gray hilt.
He was the only one who remained loyal to the Absolute Being and tried his best to stop them, but they easily defeated him and left him for dead.
As his injuries were fatal, Ashborn believed that it was the end for him and prepared for death. However, before he could die, he discovered that the Absolute Being had hidden a monstrous power inside his body and promptly activated it, transforming himself into the Shadow Monarch.
A huge, muscular shadow warrior with glowing flame-like purple hair, glowing purple eyes, two curved black horns, and sharp claws. He also wore jet-black armor and a long smoky black cloak, and wielded a pure black sword.
With new power, he uttered only a single word.
ARISE
From the corpse of his army, arose their shadow, reborn by the new power of Ashborn.
With his health fully restored and now even stronger than before, Ashborn returned to the battlefront to continue the fight. But by the time he got back, he found out that he was too late, as the rebellion was already over and the Absolute Being was already dead. The corpse still sitting on the throne, with the Rulers' spears sticking out of his body.
After the Rulers captured Legia, The King of Giants and Monarch of The Beginning. Ashborn realized that the Monarchs would lose if he didn't step in and decided to offer them his help, an offer that they reluctantly accepted. Unfortunately for Ashborn, even though he managed to stabilize the power balance and keep the war going, his overwhelming powers earned him great fear from both sides and eventually led two of the nine Monarchs, Rakan and Baran, to turn on him. Although Ashborn easily defeated them in battle and killed Baran in retaliation for his treachery, his shadow army was nearly annihilated in the process.
Right after he killed Baran, the Rulers descended in front of Ashborn and asked him for his forgiveness. Although Ashborn initially refused to accept their gesture of peace and furiously demanded that they kill him so that they could finally win the war, the Rulers persisted in their plea and Ashborn was so emotionally overwhelmed that he couldn't give them an answer. Deciding to seek revenge against Rakan instead, Ashborn left the battlefield and went into hiding to rebuild his shadow army, allowing the Rulers to finally defeat the Monarchs and force them into hiding. However, at some point after this, Ashborn returned to the Monarchs and Antares, the strongest Monarch, was happy to welcome him back to their ranks, as two of the Monarchs were lost and the rest were still greatly weakened from their defeat against the Rulers.
Centuries later, when the Monarchs launched their assault on the human world, Ashborn followed them there out of his own desire to find his place in the universe, as he never felt like he had truly belonged in the chaos world. At the same time, he also started looking for a suitable human vessel with the aid of a mage named Kandiaru, who agreed to help him in exchange for immortality and created a program specifically designed to accomplish this task.
At some point during Kandiaru's search for a human with the right physique and mentality to serve as the Shadow Monarch's vessel, Ashborn noticed that there was one human who had stepped beyond the boundaries of the program Kandiaru created and deviated from all of its rules and expectations: Sung Jinwoo. Despite the fact that Jinwoo was pathetically weak and constantly within death's reach, he somehow always managed to escape with his life and the resolve that he demonstrated in risking his life over and over again for the sake of his family impressed Ashborn so much that he eventually came to believe that Jinwoo was worthy of becoming his vessel.
Despite Kandiaru's disapproval of his decision, Ashborn chose Jinwoo to be his host a few months before the Monarchs intended on hunting down the Rulers in the human world and started to slowly breed him into a vessel strong enough to fully absorb his powers through the System
With the help of the System made by Kandiaru with the immense power of Ashborn, Jinwoo keep leveling up. Exceeding every expectations and beating his Solo Leveling System.
When Jinwoo reached level 100, Kandiaru invited him back to the Double Dungeon so that Ashborn could take control of him as his vessel. However, what Kandiaru didn't know at the time was that Ashborn no longer had any intention of taking control of Jinwoo as his vessel and wished to transfer his powers to him instead so that Jinwoo could succeed him as the next Shadow Monarch. As a result, he chose to betray Kandiaru by locking him out of the System, reneging on their deal, and giving Jinwoo his black heart. This would enable Jinwoo to later regain control of his body and kill Kandiaru after the latter realized that Ashborn sold him out and changed sides to the Rulers.
When Jinwoo was killed by Rakan in battle, he was seemingly transported back in time to when the System first chose him as its Player. As he still retained both his appearance and powers, Jinwoo initially believed that the entire experience was real. However, after speaking to an alternate version of Go Gunhee, Jinwoo eventually realized that it was all just an illusion and yelled at whoever was casting the spell to stop wasting time and show himself. Much to his surprise, the spellcaster turned out to be Ashborn.
Deciding to keep things as brief as possible, Ashborn introduced himself to Jinwoo and explained to him everything he needed to know, including his backstory, the true identity of their enemies, and the reason why Jinwoo was chosen to be both his vessel and his successor. Once he was finished, Ashborn offered Jinwoo two choices: to either live inside his personal fantasy world for eternity or finish his fight with the Monarchs. Naturally, Jinwoo chose the latter option and Ashborn bid him farewell as he ascended back to reality and was revived with the true powers of the Shadow Monarch.
But it was time for Antares, The King of Dragons and Monarch of Destruction to descend. He with his army and fellow Monarch led waste to the Human world.
Sung Jinwoo fought Antares to the death. Antares was physically stronger than Jinwoo. After a hard battle, Jinwoo was able to trick Antares to spread Mana in the surrounding so the army of Rulers can come in aid and kill Antares.
Despite winning the war, Jinwoo felt he lost too much and therefore requested Rulers to use Cup of Reincarnation to turn back time so he alone can take on the Monarchs and spare Earth from Destruction.
Reluctantly the Rulers agreed and used Cup of Reincarnation for the last time as it brooe after that.
Jinwoo back in time with memories and Shadow army, fought all the Monarchs in long gruelling war alone in Dimensional Rift. After more than 3 decades in Dimensional Rift, he came back to real world.
Living his life as Detective with his Wife Cha Hae In. They had a son,, Sung Suho.
Sung Suho inherited his father power. He isn't the next Shadow Monarch but his own power is derived from it. Making him a first natural birth of a new Monarch.
Since his power is similar to his father and they had awakened at young age, it caused problems for him as the kids were avoiding him in the school. So Jinwoo had to seal his memories and power till he has grown up. That day Jinwoo's second strongest Shadow, Beru cried a lot as he gonna miss the little lord.
But in the Universe where there is no absolute being, it left a power vacuum. So being from other Universes flocked to steal all the left behind power. At first, it was a race of a Titans, who survive by eating stone of planet beeming with life. They were easily dealt with.
Then there were Gods of other universes, Itarim.
The current Shadow Monarch had join forces with Rulers to fight new enemy, to protect their universe and all life in it.
Joining Jinwoo was his wife, Cha Hae In and friend Thomas Andre. Who both have recovered their memories from lost timeline. To protect their loved ones, they have to leave them behind. Therefore Suho was left behind on Earth, behind the defensive line of defenders of the Universe.
The army of Dead, or simply Shadow Soldiers were only 1 million in number originally. After fighting with all Monarchs in new timeline, the numbers grew to staggering count of 10 millions. Now fighting with new Gods, the numbers are only going to grow and so does the power of Shadow Monarch.
The Earth again go through changes as it did in the past, birth of hunters. Beru was sent from frontline to Suho to help awaken his locked powers.
Throughout the years, Suho becomes strong. Strong enough to stand side by side to his Dad. The war took 40 years, in the end. The defenders won.
The power of Shadow Monarch grows as more he fights, the stronger he gets. And it was true for Suho as he too became new Shadow Monarch. The universe is now protected by two Shadow Monarch who are equal in strength and army.
Many years has passed, As much as Jinwoo wanted to spend time with his family, he too was tired with eternal life. He wanted to rest like his predecessor.
He has decided along with his wife, they would asleep in eternal rest. Together and Forever.
But He can't give pass his own power to his son because as much he would like to, the universe won't be able to handle it. Their universe was small and young and wasn't a part of the greater Multiverse. It won't be able to recieve help from Multiverse. And growing power.
So Jinwoo searched to pass his power to next Shadow Monarch. Someone to be worthy who wont succumb to power and greed. Someone who has good heart and kindness towards life but determinet enough to give his all to protect all life. He searched till faraway. But in the end, it led him to someone close to him.
It was Suho friend, or make accurate to say brother from another mother. Their bond were stronger than any brothers, even those who are connected by blood.
He was the first candidate he found but there was problem in his character a little bit. He was a Playboy and a fucking Weeb. Jinwoo was hesitant to pass his powers to him but he couldn't find any other better candidate. So Jinwoo has no choice but to test him.
The test were harsh, not limited to his body or mind but to character and heart. And unexpectedly, he too broke all expectations and beat Jinwoo system. Making Jinwoo remember his past.
The name of Suho's eternal brother was Dev. He was an orphan who became hunter later. He was ruthless but with compassion and love for life. His hobies were being Playboy and a big fucking Weeb.
As much as he was a Playboy, he treated Suho's wife as his sister. He even treated Jinwoo as elder brother and Cha Hae In as elder sister who had her husband wrapped around her fingers..... It was true.
Nevertheless, he does know when to be Playboy, which became more restricted due to his dangerous elder sister Cha Hae In. She molded him quite good. But they aren't able to do anything about him being a Weeb.
Nevertheless, the time was cut short as universe could no longer contain the power of two Shadow Monarch. So one of them have to be removed.
"Suho, it was nice knowing you brother. I sure we will meet again in the future. Depart me with smile rather tears." Dev told Suho as he holds Suho shoulder. The Shadow Army was standing behind Dev, they all too were sad. They had leave little lord who grew up to be such a fine gentleman and a great King, just like his father. The Shadow Army were crying rivers, and most affected by it was Beru.
" Sniffle* but you are crying more than me brother." Suho replied with a smile and teary eyes to Dev, who is crying as much as this Army behind him.
They both hugged for final time. Their brotherly bond goes beyond time and space.
Suho eyes then darted to the Shadow armies, and he hugged them too (not all of them ofcourse).
"GRAAHH!!! LITTLE LORD PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF . BE HEALTHY AND LIVE YOUR LIFE HAPPILY." Beru cried while hugging Suho. The other Marshals also gave their last words. Their watched him grow from a baby to becoming the strongest Monarch.
Finally its time to go. The portal was open behind Dev. It's destination unknown in the vast Omniverse. He had to find a new home who can accept him whole.
With last goodbye, Dev stepped into the portal with his Shadow army inside his eternal rest.
To infinity and beyond.
