Nathan had received a distress call from Nancy, the housekeeper, informing him that Nara had left the house with a suitcase.
Immediately, he left work and hurried home, with Louis insisting on accompanying him.
"What happened, Nancy? Where's Nara?" Nathan questioned urgently as he entered the house.
Nancy, waiting for him at the door, explained the situation. "Madam tried to harm herself in the kitchen today. I saw her grab a knife by the blade and squeeze it tightly. She only stopped when Judith almost called emergency services. Then she left the house with her suitcase."
"Did she mention where she was going? A hotel? A friend's place?" Nathan inquired.
"No, sir. She didn't say anything," Nancy replied sadly.
Worry creased Nathan's brow. Nara was prone to impulsive actions, and he feared she might hurt herself.
"I'll track her phone, sir," Louis interjected, already diving into the task. "I found her!" he exclaimed.
"Where is she?"
"It seems she's at... a tattoo parlor," Louis answered, sounding surprised.
"What on earth is she doing at a tattoo parlor?" Nathan asked, shocked.
"Who knows. Maybe she's getting a giant 'Fuck you' inked on her face," Gwen, Nathan's sister, joked as she walked in.
"Gwen? What are you doing here?"
"I heard you were moving back to the estate, so I came to help," she replied gingerly.
"I don't have time for you right now. I have to go find Nara," Nathan said as he headed out of the house, with Louis and Gwen following closely behind.
"I'm coming with you," Gwen insisted as she got into the car with Nathan. He simply ignored her.
The drive to the tattoo parlor was brief, and soon they arrived.
Nathan stepped out of the car and entered the tattoo parlor, with Louis and Gwen trailing behind him. As he scanned the room, his eyes searched for Nara amidst the inked clientele and buzzing tattoo machines.
Nathan's heart sank as he finally spotted Nara amidst the tattoo parlor's bustling environment.
He swiftly approached her and grabbed her by the hand.
"What the hell are you doing here?" he demanded, his tone a mix of anger and frustration.
Nara looked up genuinely surprised to see him. "Well, look who it is. Mr. asshole."
Nathan ignored how she addressed him.
"You can't just impulsively get a tattoo, Nara," he admonished, his grip tightening on her hand.
Nara laughed.
"Your not the boss of me and besides, I've already gotten one."
With a swift movement, she turned around, revealing a scorpion tattoo on her lower back.
"Wow." Gwen, who was beside Nathan, gasped as a smile curved her lips.
Nathan's jaw dropped in disbelief as he took in the inked design. He felt a mixture of – anger and worry.
"Why would you do this?" he asked angrily.
"Because I wanted to," Nara replied matter-of-factly, before pulling her hand free.
Nathan sighed, not wanting to argue with her. Not here at least.
"Let's just go home," he suggested instead of arguing.
"I'm not going anywhere with you," Nara stated.
Nathan didn't say another word. He simply picked her up. He didn't have time for her bullshit, so he simply carried her out of the tattoo parlor despite all her kicking, screaming, and shouting.
