*Drip drip*
The sound of blood dripped down, splashing on the floor.
Arthur had taken the attack for Ana.
"I didn't think you were that fast. Maybe the rumors of you killing Tiana are true."
Arthur had a look of annoyance on his face.
"Albert…"
"That's me!"
"Don't forget about me!"
Out of all the people…why did it have to be these two freaks. Albert and Serena, the freakiest couple in school. They would always do weird things in front of everyone and always got in trouble for it. I hate these two almost as much as Mary.
"Why set us up like this? Are you two also working for Mary."
"Hell no. Who would want to work for that witch."
Atleast we agree on something
"As for the setup…well…we don't really know…fun I guess."
"That's the kind of answer I'd expect from you two"
"Enough about us. The real question is how are you still talking so causally after being impaled by my knife. Sure I missed the heart but doesn't it atleast hurt a little."
"Not even a little. I guess you're just too weak."
Those words began to annoy Albert. He withdrew his knife from Arthur's chest.
Blood came splashing out. Arthur dropped to one knee.
"ARTHUR!"
"I'm fine. I need you to heal it."
"But-"
"It's fine! They won't live to speak a word anyway."
"What are you talking about. We know that she only has basic healing magic. She couldn't possibly heal a wound like that. Just admit it…y'all…have…lost."
"Please stop your speaking. Your voice is revolting."
Albert grew with more annoyance.
"You sure know how to piss me off that's for sure."
"I'm sorry you feel that way."
"Albert enough of this…let's just kill them."
"Yes you're right my cupcake"
I think I'm gonna be sick listening to these two.
Arthur looked back at Ana and nodded. She then healed Arthur's wound.
Shock grew over Albert and Serena's faces.
"What did you just do."
"I'm not following what you mean? She healed me isn't that obvious."
"BASIC HEALING MAGIC ISN'T CAPABLE OF HEALING SUCH A WOUND."
"Not sure what to say…Ana is just special."
I'm special?! Arthur stop your gonna make me blush.
"It's no matter. I know that you have no ability. Which means you can't do anything."
"Brave assumption…let's put it to the test."
"STOP WITH THIS! YOU WON'T TRICK ME WITH YOUR WORDS!!!"
Albert got ready to fight
"I'll admit that you're fast…but that's all. And once I beat you…I'm going to make you tell me how the hell you killed Tiana of all people."
"Trade secret."
Albert was now angry and rushed toward Arthur.
This is bad…these two were two of the 6 people who didn't use their power that day. I'm going in blind…but so are they.
Albert continued to get closer and closer to Arthur as he got ready to attack
He's so slow
Arthur dodged the attack
*Slice*
Arthur slashed through Albert. But something was off. Suddenly, Albert dispersed as if he were only an illusion.
Arthur's eyes widened. After Albert had completely dispersed…the only one there…was Serena…and her evil grin.
"Checkmate…" That is the word that slipped from Serena's lips.
Where…where is he?!
Suddenly a scream could be heard from behind Arthur.
He quickly turned around to find Ana being held by Albert with a knife up to her throat.
Arthur's face grew with fear and concern.
Ana was trying to tell him something but he couldn't hear. She was crying but he didn't notice.
The only thing Arthur could hear in that very moment were the words, "that's one."
*Slice*
…
Ana's lifeless body dropped to the floor.
Arthur couldn't even scream…he just…stood there, starring at Ana's body, still not fully grasping the reality of what just occurred.
