At an Unknown Location
Daniel paced furiously within the confines of a dimly lit warehouse.
"That damn Monkey keeps outsmarting me," he seethed. "Most of our Yakuza pawns are locked up, Ian's vanished, and Selena barely made it back— injured. And now the FUCKING MONKEY IS SNITCHING!"
A Diamond Rank Bodyguard, his expression grave, addressed Daniel.
"The Boss has ordered my departure. Given the circumstances, he deems it a test for you. Best of luck with your mission."
Before Daniel could respond, the man vanished, leaving Daniel seething even more. With his strongest pawn gone and the Yakuza pawns lost, his fury intensified.
Finally, Selena staggered in, her back still ablaze with pain from Jimmy's fiery assault.
"Selena, are you alright?" Daniel inquired.
"I'm hanging in there, despite the searing pain," she replied. "It was a trap, babe. They were expecting us and ambushed us. And on your end?"
"Much of the same," Daniel lamented. "The PSIA raided our compound, apprehending the majority of our men. He turned informant, leading the PSIA to join forces with the FBI and numerous other agencies against us. Some of our men managed to escape, but I owe my survival to the Diamond Rank bodyguard. They opted against confrontation to minimize casualties, but warned of the arrival of two Platinum and one Diamond rank operatives sent from the FBI."
Selena's expression darkened. "It seems our time is running out," she remarked gloomily, casting a somber gaze at Daniel.
"He's more vigilant than I anticipated. We need to locate and eliminate him as soon as possible, or else we'll remain ensnared in his trap," Daniel declared with a grim expression.
Daniel's face twisted with frustration as he pondered his next move until Ian's arrival interrupted his thoughts.
Ian strode into the warehouse, his once-white shirt now stained burgundy with blood from four gunshot wounds to his back.
"Well, look who decided to show up," Daniel quipped, his tone tinged with sarcasm. "Took you long enough. What happened?"
Ian's breaths came in ragged gasps as he recounted his ordeal. "Sorry for the delay, man. Do you see this shirt? I just took four bullets to the back. My phantom form failed me he found a counter to see through it, and he caught up, guns blazing. The Diamond Rank bodyguard briefed me on your situation before he left. Boss says we're in the clear for a month. The FBI has recalled their men."
Meanwhile, at a McDonald's in Tokyo...
JacQuarius and Kiyomi sat side by side, while Tela and a male PSIA agent occupied the adjacent seats.
As JacQuarius savored a Hot n Spicy McChicken, Tela indulged in two Big Macs, and Kiyomi contented herself with a box of nuggets.
The PSIA agent hesitated, then began, "I have news, both good and bad. Which do you prefer first?"
JacQuarius polished off his McChicken before responding, "Start with the good."
"The Yakuza has suffered a massive blow. We've seized their businesses, arrested the majority of their members, and ramped up police presence. They won't recover for at least a decade," the agent relayed.
JacQuarius nodded. "And the bad news?"
"We can't arrest their new leader, Daniel. They had a Diamond Rank guard, so we had to let them go until the FBI intervened. But now the FBI has abruptly turned back their plane. We're not sure who or what we're dealing with, but they're formidable," the agent revealed.
"It's Daniel and Ian's organization," Kiyomi interjected.
"So, what's the plan?" Tela inquired.
JacQuarius finished his fries before responding, "We train. There's bound to be a catch or condition they've set. They're fixated on me and Daniel."
The agent continued, "They've arranged a 3v3 battle in one month. The winner claims Tokyo. We, the PSIA along with the FBI, will oversee to ensure fairness."
JacQuarius drained his smoothie and rose from his seat. "Send me the details. We're off to train. Kiyomi, Tela, let's move!"
They exited swiftly, leaving the agent behind.
Back at their undisclosed location...
"We have one month to prepare for the battle. Let's not waste a moment," Daniel urged.
Selena interjected, "You're too confident, Daniel. Remember what just happened? Kiyomi outmatches me, Ian is probably on par with Tela, and JacQuarius is a formidable opponent. We're set up to fail."
Ian reassured her, "Boss has made arrangements. In a few days, we'll receive crucial supplies. With those, victory is assured."
With both groups now training diligently, the final showdown for Tokyo drew near.
