The next day Gojo and Grisella went to the guild in the evening to check on about their previous quest. The receptionist gestured to them to go to the room they had previously went.
After, they entered the room, they saw the guild master sitting on the armchair as he gestured them to take seat. After they sat he began speaking.
" You two have done a great job. The slime population has fallen greatly and the rare slime that you brought has been taken in by ' Survey and Research Bureau '. It seems like a bio-luminescent slime is born per one hundred thousand slime births. Also they are pretty weak since they lack combat capabilities. It is also a great achievement for the guild to find a rare slime just under Geradin. "
" Now let's move onto your payment. You have slaughtered a slimes in the hundreds and we have also confirmed your reports about the camouflaged slimes. We had initially underestimated the situation so we have decided to increase the rewards. The initial rewards were four large copper coins. Now we will increase it to eight large copper coins. The next day, the both of them decided to take the day off. They had adventuring almost everyday with little time to rest. They decided to do their own things that day. As Grisella went to enjoy some street food and explore the city more, Gojo prepared to go to the Temple of Goddess Lena to pay the Goddess a visit.
He bought some sweets while on way to the temple. Not much had changed over the years for the temple. As he entered he was greeted by a priestess and a few other followers. He walked up to the deity and offered his prayers. After offering his prayers he looked around, he was clueless as to how to meet the Goddess.
Suddenly all movements and sounds stopped around him. A blinding light from the direction of the deity surrounded him. Gojo walked at the direction of the light and opened his eyes. Goddess Lena was calmly standing amidst as if waiting for him.
" It has been quite a long time since we had a meeting. I had been busy for a long time so I couldn't meet you. " said Gojo
" Fear not Honoured One, it may have been a long time for you but not for me. I have been around for billions of years so it does not matter to me much. So how has your life been in this world since we met last ? Were my blessings helpful for you ?" she said and looked towards him.
" Well, to be honest life has been pretty normal for me. I took up a lot of quests for the people including ones that were particularly dangerous. So I did have a lot of fun thanks to my powers and of course your blessings has helped me to look out for danger. " Gojo said.
" I see, that's good to hear. So do you wish for any new blessings. What is the purpose of your visit. " said the Goddess.
" Well, last time you gave me the power of levitation. However there is still the power of teleportation that is left for me acquire. Can you grant it to me now or are there some requirements for acquiring it ?" asked Gojo
" As for that, I can't grant you the power now. For that you need to raise the level of levitation to level five in order to acquire it. Any other questions, Honoured One ?" Goddess Lena said.
" Alright then, is there any place where I can get a lot of information about this world ? Because I wish to explore more of this world and gain knowledge about the history of the Olvin Empire as well as that of the nearby countries and that of the world. I guess all that information will really help me. " Gojo replied.
" If you wish gain knowledge about Olvin Empire as well as that of the world, your best choice will be the public library in the capital city of the Empire, Ravenna. There are many books and documents in that library concerning history of the Empire and the world. If you ever go to the capital city, do go to public library. You may find a lot of information from different people. However that kind of information may not be true. " the Goddess said.
" Fine, that is all for the present. I am going to leave now. " said Gojo.
" Oh, listen go and visit God Hephlem's temple once. He wishes to talk to you. It is not very far from my temple. See you later Honoured One " said Goddess Lena and the light surrounding Gojo went out. It was evening by then.
Gojo then walked of the temple and went to the center of the city where he had got down from the horse cart of Eric Flavel. He had decided to meet Grisella here before going to the guild master's house. Soon Grisella came and both of them proceeded towards the pace where the house was.
Upon reaching the house, they saw a two storeyed building. It was not much decorated but was pretty big. They knocked at the door and they were greeted and guided inside by the guild master's wife. She was a sweet woman. The guild master also had two children.
As night approached, the guild master returned home. Soon Gojo, Grisella and the guild master's family gathered at the table for dinner.
" I have made a lot of preparations for today's dinner. Hope you enjoy it. " said the guild master and he gestured to a couple of servants. Then the food was brought in.
There were a lot of items. Chicken stew, goose, fried fish and much more. That day both Gojo and Grisella ate a lot. After the dinner they thanked the guild master and went back to their lodging. That was how they spent their time on their day off.
