When the spinning around them stopped, Gojo and Grisella looked around. They saw that they were standing in an arena. A Colosseum like structure was surrounding them. The building had doors all over the arena. A young man approached them. He had a light armour on his body. At first glance he looked like a warrior. However he was pretty frail to be a warrior.
" Are you the ones sent to free me from the dream realm ? I have been waiting for quite a long time. " said the young man.
" Yes, we will ensure your freedom. Just try not to get killed over here. " said Gojo and then he turned his attention to his surroundings.
Suddenly the doors in front of them opened. Through the doors came out eight well armed warriors. Soon the warriors surrounded Gojo and Grisella and commenced their attack. Gojo used lapse blue to hurl two of the warriors against the wall of the building and used reverse red to demolish two other warriors.
Grisella at first hesitated but she was encouraged by Gojo and used her sword slashes to quickly dislodge her opponents. As soon as the eight warriors fell their bodies vanished in thin air. The doors opened again and this time ten greenish muscular humanoid creatures armed with swords, clubs, axes and shields entered the arena. These creatures were known as orcs. Orcs lived in their tribal villages secluded from the human society. They were known to be fierce warriors.
Soon the orbs started attacking Gojo and Grisella one by one. Gojo used reverse red to kill most of them. The orcs were slaughtered very soon. After the orcs were killed the doors near the arena opened again. This time two large metal dolls manipulated by magic entered the arena. They were designed like knights in armour. These dolls had huge claws at the back of their hands.
The dolls soon started approaching them with great speed. Gojo used reverse red, but the dolls jumped and dodged it. He tried again and the dolls dodged his attacks.
" Interesting, now I can show off a little. " said Gojo and he charged one of the dolls.
Gojo threw a punch at the doll and it dodged the attack and clawed at his face. He dodged it's attacks and got behind it's back to hit it again. The doll blocked his attack with the claws on one of it's hands and the claws broke.
Then Gojo jumped above the doll and used a round kick to knock off it's head. As a reaction the metal doll jumped at the direction where it's head went. Soon it fixed it's head to it's body. As the doll was taking time to attack, Gojo hit it with blackflash right on it's torso denting it and sent it flying towards the walls. As soon as the doll hit the wall, he rushed towards it and grabbed the hand which still had claws behind it. He tore it off and threw it far away into the arena. The doll tried to move towards the direction where it's hand wad thrown but it was slower than before.
Taking advantage of this slowness, Gojo used reverse red multiple times breaking the metal doll completely. After the doll was reduced to pieces it stopped moving completely. Then, Gojo turned his attention towards the other doll. Meanwhile he was busy fighting one of the dolls, the other one went to attack the soul. However, Grisella took it on and a fight began. But now she was being pushed against the wall. She had sustained a few wounds and was getting tired.
Gojo rushed at the metal doll and with a punch knocked it's head off it's body. He then levitated in air putting some distance between him and the doll. The doll following the direction of the head jumped at him. He then used reverse red to send it crashing on the ground. He used reverse red a few more times to completely destroy the doll.
After that he helped Grisella get on her feet and she thanked him. However they didn't get much time. Soon one of the doors to the arena opened. They heard a loud roar which shook the entire arena. Through the open door entered four albino tigers which were larger than the tigers Gojo had seen in his own world. The tigers surrounded them very quickly and prepared to pounce on them.
Seeing no other option, Gojo grabbed both Grisella and the soul and jumped in the air. At the same the tigers pounced at them, but thanks to levitation he managed to avoid them and land safely at a distance. On Gojo's suggestion they put their backs against the wall.
" Cover your eyes both of you. " said Gojo.
" But, how do we deal with these monsters ?" Grisella asked.
" Leave that to me. Since I am the strongest, we will win this. So cover your eyes and put your trust in my strength. " said Gojo.
Thankfully both Grisella and the soul obliged. The arena where they were fighting actually had a lot of sand. As the tigers started approaching them Gojo used reverse red to blow a ton of dust in the air. He then used used lapse blue to move a large portion of the dust towards the tigers. With this he managed to slow down the tigers who got nearly blinded by the dust. Gojo then used his six eyes to detect the tigers and used reverse red to slaughter them.
" Now, you can open your eyes. " said Gojo.
Grisella opened her eyes and saw the four tigers lying dead in the opposite side. The dust had settled and soon they heard the sound of a gong twice.
" Thanks, for saving me, now I can finally pass over. May the gods bless you. " said the soul as it faded and vanished.
The surroundings around Gojo and Grisella were enveloped by a bright white light. After the white light faded, they found themselves standing in a desert. The sky was pretty cloudy with occasional sunshine. Surrounding them were small and large piles of metal junk scattered around. From among these piles of junk an old man wearing disheveled clothes walked out towards them.
" Please, free me from this never ending dream. It feels like I am trapped here for an eternity. " said the old man.
" Yes, we will help you. Let's see what awaits us. " said Gojo and started looking around.
" What is that floating in the sky ?" Grisella asked and pointed upwards.
Gojo followed her gaze and saw an object floating far above him. The object looked like a gigantic turtle made out of metal without limbs floating in the sky. Suddenly four chains descended from above with claws at the end of each, big enough to crush humans. The three of them managed to dodge in time so they survived. Not long after two of the claws descended on them which they dodged again. However soon enough another pair of claws came down on their position which they could dodge by a few inches.
" Stay vigilant Grisella, we must win this. " said Gojo and turned his attention back at the sky.
The attack continued with two pairs of claws descending at their positions as ran around continuously. Gojo tried to use reverse red a few times against the turtle but he missed. Sometimes the turtle entered the clouds making it hard to attack it.
" I have got an idea, let's gather at one
place. " said Gojo.
" That will definitely get us killed. What is your plan, explain properly. " said Grisella.
" Fear not Grisella, I have thought quite ahead. Once the claws descend, you two get away, but I will grab one of them. The claws will take me to the turtle and I will be able to attack. " said Gojo.
" Fine, you better defeat it after reaching it. Don't die please. " said Grisella.
" Risking death in battle and dying to win are completely different Grisella. I understand the risks well and I will win this. Meanwhile I deal with it if it's claws come down, please dodge them. " said Gojo and turned his focus towards the floating turtle.
Like Gojo said, a pair of claws descended at their position. Grisella and the soul managed to get away as Gojo grabbed onto one of the claws as it went back. He soon reached the turtle. He then used levitation to fly a little above it and used reverse red to blow apart the side of it from where the claws were attached to the body. The other side also had claws attached so he blew it apart as well. The turtle had started to slow down. He then blew up the head.
As soon as the head got blown, all that was left of the turtle started to fall from the sky. As they neared the ground Gojo jumped and ran away as the rest of the turtle fell to the ground and exploded. A little while after, Gojo and Grisella along with the soul managed to meet again. With the mission accomplished the soul started shining and fading into the surroundings.
" Ah, it feels so much comfortable. Thanks to you for freeing. May the gods bless you. " said the old man as he faded.
Soon their surroundings faded and they found themselves standing at the graveyard in front of the guardian of the graveyard.
" In these five hundred years, no one had ever managed to successfully free souls. You two were the first ones to succeed. So, I will grant your wishes. So what are your wishes ?" asked the graveyard guardian.
" Is there some powerful magical sword that can use at present ? As you see I use swords in combat although I am just a rank D adventurer at present. " said Grisella.
" Hmm, then you can have this one. This sword belonged to Hilmer who was a tribesman of the tribe that lived here over five hundred years ago. He was a great adventurer. However during his adventures he caught a weird disease and later died from it. So you can have it. " said the guardian. He then turned towards Gojo.
" What do you wish young man ?" asked the guardian.
" Well, I don't really know what to wish for. I am quite strong and it doesn't seem like I lack something at present. " said Gojo.
" In that case, you can have this diary. It belonged to one adventurer who was buried here a hundred years ago and he was the last one to be buried in this graveyard. This was buried along with his body. The first soul that you freed from the dream realm was his. So you can have it. " said the guardian of the graveyard.
" Well, then you may go. " said the guardian and went silent. Gojo and Grisella hurried back to the village. The next day they left the village and headed for their next destination.
