Alex had killed about 20 beast and decided to head back to the cave. He cleaned up and was removing the last beast core when he turned around to see a 10 foot spider hovering over him. 'F*ck, It's a rank-E beast' he thought to himself.
The large spider started to stump its tall legs in order to hit Alex, and he tried to run away as fast as he could. He was able to move out of the way just in time, but the more he dodged the more the spider kept attacking him with it's legs, this was going on for over five minutes.
Alex was hoping that the spider's stamina would be depleted by this time so that he could attack, but the spider didn't seem to be tired at all and it kept trying to stump on him. He knew he had to change his strategy.
He hid behind one of the trees and decided to check his stats

'I just took out 20 wolf beasts all by myself, and I levelled up big time, I've got to be strong enough to beat this thing' he thought to himself
He came out of hiding, he quickly pulled his dagger out and slashed one of the spiders legs.
It stumbled a little and got it's balance back in no time, as the dagger didn't make much impact on the spider's strong legs. Before Alex could make another move, he was sent flying into a tree by one of the spider's legs. He stood up tried to regain his balance again, but he wasn't given a chance and was smashed to the floor by the spider.
He stood up again and quickly his behind a large tree

"Ugh F*ck" He said in pain as he coughed out some blood. "How in the world am I supposed to beat this Dumbass creature"
"Kreeeeeak!!!" The giant spider made a loud sound that echoed around the forest
'Is this how I'm gonna die' Alex thought "This can't be the way I die; not after I got this cool system"He said as he tried his best to stand up. He looked at the spider from behind the tree
"Kreeeeeak.... Bang!!!" The spider made loud noises and it was spiting out long thick sticky webs, and was knocking down tree after tree; looking for Alex
"Take this!!!" Alex screamed from behind the spider as he jumped up and landed on the spider's back. He was now able to jump that high because he was stronger and now had stronger leg muscles that could lift him up higher into the air. He then started to continuously stab the spider and it started to stumble.
The spider then tried to shake him off, but he hell on tight and moved closer to the head and stabbed it again on one of its numerous eyes.
"Kreeeeeak!!!!!!"It screamed loudly and started gradually loose it's balance.
"Kreeeeeak!!!!!" Alex stabbed it again taking out two more of its eyes. He continued to do this repeatedly and as the spider was slowly going unconscious, he also was getting more and more tired and was loosing energy.

"Stab...Stab...Stab....." He kept digging his dagger into the spider's head "Die you F**king bast**d" Alex screamed at the beast. And as he dug his dagger into the spider on last time it finally died. "Kreeeeeak!....." the beast made its dying sound and took its last breath.
Alex had bruises on his body, his clothes were torn up badly, and as he tried to work he kept stumbling and coughing out a lot of blood. He was in pretty bad shape
'I think I'm really gonna die this time' he thought as he stumbled away from the beast.
"Alex!!!!!" he heard Liam's voice from afar. He caught a glimpse of him and then started to loose consciousness "Liam" he said as he fell to the ground

(Alex's POV)
My head was throbbing badly and felt like I was been hit in head with a sledge hammer. I tried to look at my surroundings and it looked like I was back in the cave. I was laying down on the floor with a heap of leaves as a make shift pillow. "Ugh....." I groaned in pain.
"Hey you're finally up" I heard Liam's voice. I turned to see Liam sitting about a metre from where I was laying. "What happened.....how did I get here?" I asked still feeling a sharp pain in my head.
"You blacked out last night" he replied
"Where's everyone?" I asked "They all left" he answered, " What do you mean, left to where?" I asked again
"Last night I heard some loud sounds, I woke up and then realized that you weren't in the cave anymore; so I went out to look for you. I got closer to the place that the sound was coming from and I started to hear your voice. Then the sounds became louder and then I saw you on top of a giant spider, basically stabbing it to death. Then you became unconscious and I carried you back to the cave." Liam said "You were beaten up pretty badly, the others said you would only be dead weight so they left; since it's not compulsory to return with all five members of your team and since scores are handed individually"
"So I stayed back and here we are" Liam concluded
"That sounds like something those guys would do, thanks for saving me and staying back dude" I said
"I only carried you back here, you were the one who killed that beast your self" Liam said "And speaking of that, it was pretty cool, you're a level 1 with no ability and you took down an E rank 'horg spider' all by yourself, that was kinda awesome"
"I was just lucky" I said
"Oh... have this" Liam said and threw a small glowing crystal to me "It's the beast stone from the spider last night"
"Thanks bro " I said and dropped the beast stone next to me. "Alright get cleaned up, there's a river not too far from here. It's already morning we need to rack up some beasts" Liam said
"Okay" I replied and stood up ready for the second day of the first mission
