Synopsis

Chapter 1 - Prologue

"Go get our books and do our homework" the leader of the group shouted at me.

As I was about to one of his lackeys caused me to trip and fall face flat. Didn't even feel like getting up. I could hear them laughing and calling me their most "creative" nickname yet; " Alex the black weirdo".

It had become a daily routine for me to be picked on and called names by them and other students. It also didn't help that the teachers never took any action against the issue.

Occasionally they would even call me "Orphan boy" or call my parents "Runaways" because nobody has heard from them in months. The latter especially made my blood boil. But to be fair, it shouldn't take them this long…It never has before now.

*sigh*

I was starting to get weird stares so I got up and left. Though it was actually a bit comfortable just laying on the floor, unhygienic as it was.

Finally, it was the last day of high school and I was very happy. It was a rule around the world that everybody goes to a military academy after graduation.

I had already prepared before and written all the exams necessary to get a scholarship at the Silver Lane Military Academy.

I was very excited because my birthday was fast approaching and my parents were coming back home from their mission.

The day had arrived, it was supposed to be a celebration day, but it turned out to be the most miserable day of my life. I was chilling in the living room and waiting for my parents to arrive so we could celebrate my birthday when I heard a knock on the door.

I opened it excitedly thinking it was my parents but rather I saw two military personnel who look like they were punished before coming to my house. I greeted both of them and, the female who looked rather nice unlike the bulky man beside her started speaking telling me they had they had both good and bad news to give me.

The good news was that I was accepted into the Silver Lane Military Academy, and the bad news was that my parents went missing on their mission for about a month and there was no trace of them so, it was concluded that they were dead since the area was dangerous.

This information shattered me, I cried for weeks, but I had to try and get over in order to take care of myself and fulfil my parents' dream for me before they went on their mission which was that, I joined the Silver Lane Military Academy.

Three months later, I was picked up by the military men who were supposed to take me to the military and I was taken on a bus filled with students just like me,but, I didn't take much with me except for the box my parents left behind on their mission and some clothes.

And, this is where the story of my life begins....
