My gaze narrowed at the news. This was precisely the information I needed.
"They have taken over the small town of Esmeria, and we haven't seen any trace of that much humans."
"Are you implying what I think you are?" Jade asked, her eyes scanning the room nervously.
I recognized Esmeria as a human town, one of the rare places where demon had no presence. They were self-sufficient, and Lilith warriors had intervened only a few times in the past when rogues trespassed.
"Some people in the town has been turned. Men, women, children, young and old."
Her words hung in the air, met with stunned silence. This couldn't be the only town under rogue demon control. I had acknowledged their vast numbers.
