As the bear carcass laid in front of my sisters and I a profound sense of accomplishment washed over me. We managed to kill a stronger opponent with no mana at all.
'I don't know if there are beings in this world who can nullify our mana but to be safe we should continue training so that even without our mana we will still be a force to be reckoned with.'
"Brother are you alright?!" Apollonia said looking at my broken limb.
"I have had much worse sister, I only need to rest then I will be fine." I responded, shakily standing up and shifting my weight onto my good legs I limped over to the body and looked back at my sisters.
"We should not let our hard work go to waste." I said before my sisters quickly ran over to my side as we all started to eat our hard earned meal.
'I will have to be more careful next time. Not only did my forelimb get crushed but I am fairly sure I broke a couple of my ribs. This bear was nothing to scoff at.'
The bears meat was fairly tough but I didn't really care all that much as I was extremely hungry and needed to rest to heal my injuries.
Soon enough I had my fill and laid down near the bear while my sisters continued eating. All of a sudden I heard a screech off in the distance.
'The smell of a fresh kill must be attracting other monsters.'
"I think we might have attracted some uninvited guests." I said out loud. Hearing this my sisters stopped eating and went on full alert, scanning the surroundings.
Looking up towards the canopy far above our heads I saw a disturbance in the foliage, along with the sound of wing beats.
"From above!" as I shouted at my sisters, another shriek sounded through the forest but this time much louder. Breaking through the thick canopy a massive green Wyvern made an appearance, instead of having four legs and two wings on its back it had two rear legs and in place of a dragons front legs where its two huge wings.
The Wyvern dwarfed us, not quite the size of mother but I was still only a quarter its size. It dove straight at us with a frenzied gaze. I could see the saliva dripping from its maw as it looked between my sisters and I, and the bear carcass. I could almost feel its gaze linger on my injured forelimb as if it was deciding between the mostly eaten bear or me for its meal.
Stopping above us and hovering in place I saw its body take on a pale green glow before it launched visible blades of wind directly at me aiming to sever my head from my body.
Seeing that it had decided to fight us, I quickly jumped out of the way causing a wave of pain to make me flinch upon landing. My sister immediately took flight and went straight for the wyvern. This time we where going all out, no restrictions, I could see the mana forming around Corentine. Lightning crackled up and down her body, arcing off of her still small and under developed horns she directed it towards the wyvern who was still facing me.
Almost as if on instinct the wyvern decided to dive down towards me to both evade my sisters attack and to try and take its prey.
I began directing my mana towards my breath glands so that when it was close enough I could incinerate my attacker. As it dived towards me both of my sisters followed suit, I could tell that they as well where getting ready to unleash their dragon breath.
Even though we where only a few months old, with the three of us combined even an adult wyvern had little chance of winning this fight, as they are naturally unintelligent and do not have a very high affinity towards mana. They are but poor imitations of us dragons who where made to protect the world.
As it quickly closed in on me I unleashed my dragon breath making sure to channel as much destruction mana into it as possible, at the same time both of my sisters did the same, Apollonia's was a torrent of blue flames and Corentine's was a pillar of lightning. As our individual dragons breaths hit the wyvern it tried to channel more wind mana to protect itself. But when my destruction mana came into contact with its shell it completely disintegrated it on the side that it hit.
Now that the layer of mana was gone my breath scorched its scales and wherever the destruction mana hit fell apart into grey dust.
I must have hit a vital spot because the wyvern came crashing down and started to struggle to take flight again, but we where not going to let it get away. My sisters quickly descended onto the wyvern and unleashed another round of dragons breath, sealing its fate.
With my energy exhausted I made my way over to a nearby hollow tree and laid down, and fell asleep.

POV Corentine
I was so relieved that we managed to kill the wyvern before it did anymore harm to brother. He already got injured earlier so that sister and I didn't have to.
"Sis we need to protect brother until he is recovered." Apollonia said to me, I nodded in agreement.
'Finally I can do something for brother. I wonder how long it will take him to heal this time?'
Sister and I took our places on either side of the entrance to the hollowed out tree brother was sleeping in, making sure to scan for any possible dangers of other monsters looking for a quick meal.
