Henry walked with her in silence towards the maze gardens.
Her scent drove him wild.
He led her inside one of the hedges and sat her down upon the white marble benches.
Kiana knew what he wanted to talk about. It was clear as day upon Henry's face. She needed to come up with some kind of excuse that wouldn't let him think she wasn't there that day, when she saved his life by using her forbidden powers.
Her powers were meant to be exercised on plants and small injured animals. Never human beings.
"First of all, I'd like to say thankyou to you Kiana."
Here we go, she silently thought.
"For what?"
Henry gave her knowing look 'Like c'mon. You know what I'm talking about.'
"Kiana, you saved my life."
The young apsara played it cool, and shook her head with an unknowing look. Pretence was her best defence right now.
