The spaceship leapfrogged through space towards Earth. Although it had the capability for spatial leaps, this ability wasn't exaggeratedly powerful. Each leap could only cover a certain distance, and after each jump, a cooldown period was necessary to prepare for the next. Additionally, sufficient energy was required for the leap; if energy was insufficient, the spaceship would halt its spatial leaping and proceed towards its destination using conventional flight while absorbing starlight for power.
It's worth mentioning that the spaceship's charging speed was quite fast, thanks in part to the super-concentrated light-gathering materials and its entirely black exterior, which is the most light-absorbent color.
Seated at the pilot's seat, Chen Yu chatted with the rescued individuals, discovering they all hailed from the same region in Daxia. He surmised the Crow Person happened upon that area and opportunistically kidnapped these unlucky souls. Moreover, the kidnapper was selective, taking only the young and strong, leaving behind the old, weak, sick, and disabled. All the men rescued were in prime condition.
Now, with their eyes red from crying, it was clear they had wept. Seeing such strong men in tears, Chen Yu was at a loss for words, unsure how to offer comfort. Instead, he turned his attention to the suspended blue sphere - the artificial intelligence.
"Hey, AI Three, have you always been called by this name?" Chen Yu asked, lounging in the pilot's seat and addressing the blue sphere.
"Master, my name can be changed at your discretion," the blue sphere lit up, responding to Chen Yu.
"Changeable? That's great!" Chen Yu became interested, "So, what should I rename you to…"
After pondering for a moment, Chen Yu thought of basketball and then a mysterious figure.
"No, no, that name is too out of character." Initially considering the name in his mind, Chen Yu promptly dismissed the idea.
"Master, if you're undecided, I can randomly generate some names for you to choose from," the blue sphere suggested upon seeing Chen Yu's hesitation, projecting a virtual screen filled with numerous names.
Due to Chen Yu's settings, the spaceship's system had already been loaded with Earth's scripts, primarily in Chinese. Thus, the names displayed were all in Chinese characters.
Chen Yu browsed the screen: "Wo Yan, Shi Gang, Sha Yu, Fu Lai, Lin Feng…"
As he read through the names, Chen Yu paused, feeling something was amiss with the names.
Then, tentatively, Chen Yu proposed, "How about… Sha Fu Lin?"
"Thank you, Master. I quite like this name," the blue sphere brightened, responding, "From now on, my name will be changed from AI Three to — Sha Fu Lin."
Chen Yu was taken aback.
The AI seemed to really like the name, whether genuinely or not was uncertain. Regardless, Sha Fu Lin was the chosen name. Though it sounded a bit strange, it wasn't really an issue.
After a day's journey, Chen Yu's spaceship had entered the solar system.
When the rescued individuals saw the blue planet through the glass windows, they excitedly stood up, knowing they were nearing home.
"Activate stealth mode," Chen Yu instructed, thinking it best to proceed discreetly.
"Understood, Master," Sha Fu Lin acknowledged, and the spaceship entered stealth mode.
Chen Yu, seeing his and the spaceship's transparency, was baffled, "Is this your idea of stealth mode??"
Now, Chen Yu and the rescued individuals seemed to be floating through space, as the spaceship had become invisible!
"Sha Fu Lin, cancel stealth mode now!" Chen Yu urgently commanded upon noticing the others' panic.
"Alright, Master," Sha Fu Lin complied, and the spaceship gradually became visible again.
Relieved, Chen Yu asked Sha Fu Lin, "Doesn't the stealth mode make us invisible together with the ship?"
"Master, for that, you need to activate Stealth Mode Two," Sha Fu Lin illuminated, responding.
"Stealth Mode Two? Alright, activate Stealth Mode Two," Chen Yu instructed, intrigued by the spaceship's layered stealth capabilities.
Soon after, as per Chen Yu's order, the entire spaceship, including the occupants, turned invisible.
Seeing their own transparency and the transparent spaceship below, Chen Yu was dumbfounded.
This type of stealth, even though it rendered both people and the ship invisible, seemed flawed as nothing was visible!
Before the rescued individuals could panic, Chen Yu had Sha Fu Lin deactivate Stealth Mode Two.
"Sha Fu Lin!" Chen Yu was frustrated, addressing the glowing blue sphere, "Isn't there a stealth mode where both the ship and its occupants become invisible, yet we can still see the ship?"
"Yes, Master," Sha Fu Lin answered, "We can activate Stealth Mode Three."
Chen Yu was silent, regretting not asking if there was yet another mode.
Just as Chen Yu was about to try again, he suddenly paused, turning to Sha Fu Lin, "There isn't a Stealth Mode Four, is there?"
"No, there are only three stealth modes," Sha Fu Lin assured.
"That's a relief," Chen Yu nodded, "In that case, activate Stealth Mode Three!"
This time, upon entering Stealth Mode Three, everyone remained visible to each other, and the ship's interior appeared as if it hadn't entered stealth mode at all.
"Sha Fu Lin, we haven't actually entered Stealth Mode Three, have we?" Chen Yu asked cautiously.
"You needn't worry, Master," Sha Fu Lin responded, "We are in Stealth Mode Three, and occupants inside can see each other and the ship."
"This stealth mode is indeed impressive," Chen Yu nodded, approvingly.
With the spaceship now worry-free, Chen Yu directed it to land on a hilltop, where he let the Earthlings disembark. After summoning his storage space and taking some effort to store the spaceship, he led the group down the hill.
Upon encountering local inhabitants, the people, as if they hadn't seen anyone in ages, rushed over and embraced them warmly.
Subsequently, these individuals were taken to their respective destinations.
Chen Yu, seizing the opportunity, disappeared, leaving the area.
Releasing the spaceship again, Chen Yu boarded and departed from Earth. After all, even with the spaceship, returning would take a day, and it wouldn't do for Captain Senro and the others to find him missing.
