Chapter 91 - Chapter 91: The Remnants of the Crow People

After a series of complications, Chen Yu finally made it back to the Interstellar Convention at the space station.

To Chen Yu's surprise, Captain Senro had not left. He was still there, dealing with spaceship trades.

Jagula and Kai had been waiting beside the teleportation elevator for quite some time. Seeing Chen Yu running over, they were somewhat surprised: "You're finally back. This place hasn't been very peaceful lately. You were gone for so long, I thought something might have happened to you."

"I'm fine," Chen Yu replied with a smile. "I just bought a spaceship and took it for a spin in the universe."

"You bought a spaceship?" Jagula and Kai were a bit taken aback. "Was it expensive?"

"Not at all," Chen Yu continued. "It only cost five Life Fruits."

Although Jagula and Kai also possessed a hundred Life Fruits like Chen Yu, they were very frugal.

Because Life Fruits contain powerful life force and can neutralize any toxin.

In their eyes, using one Life Fruit meant one less of those treasures.

Thus, after browsing for so long, neither of them was willing to spend Life Fruits to buy anything, mainly because they realized the value of the Life Fruits was too great to simply exchange for other items.

Seeing their hesitation, Chen Yu simply handed his remaining tokens to them, allowing them to buy whatever they wished.

Jagula was quite surprised by Chen Yu's generosity and asked where he got those tokens from.

"Of course, I exchanged them for Life Fruits," Chen Yu explained.

"You exchanged all your fruits?" Jagula asked in astonishment.

After all, the amount on Chen Yu's token card was no small number—over ninety million, which was no joking matter.

"No, just one," Chen Yu answered. "You probably don't know how valuable Life Fruits are in this place."

Hearing Chen Yu's words, Jagula didn't doubt him and chose to believe.

Chen Yu had no reason to lie at this moment...

"By the way, Captain Senro has already arranged rooms for us in the lodging area of the space station, because the business deal he's negotiating is so huge that it won't conclude in four or five days," Kai informed Chen Yu at that moment.

This was also the reason why Chen Yu, Captain Senro, Kai, and Jagula were still here despite Chen Yu's trip back and forth to Earth.

As for why Jagula and Kai were at the elevator, it was because they hadn't been able to find Chen Yu and had agreed to meet there.

Then, the two led Chen Yu to the lodging area on the eighty-first floor of the space station.

According to Jagula and Kai, all the aliens at the space station temporarily stay in this area.

And some aliens even rotate shifts with their planet's merchants to work and sell goods.

Chen Yu, Jagula, and Kai directly went to a lodging building that seemed to have a Ganon architectural style.

Through Jagula's explanation, Chen Yu learned that this lodging building was owned by a major merchant from planet Ganon.

Although the people of planet Ganon are mostly simple, there are merchants among them who travel between stars.

The management staff of this lodging building were employees of Ganon merchants.

"Please show your lodging cards," the Ganon front desk staff requested upon seeing Chen Yu and his companions.

Jagula promptly presented three top-tier room cards, and then the three of them smoothly went upstairs.

Naturally, the top-tier room cards were given by Captain Senro.

After entering his room, Chen Yu realized why the Ganon merchants chose to open a lodging building here.

They had a significant advantage in doing so.

Each room was equipped with certain potted plants, which made the guests feel refreshed and pleased.

Without exception, all these potted plants contained branches and leaves from the Tree of Life.

It's worth noting that, whether it's the fruit or the branches of the Tree of Life, they are all highly sought-after commodities at the Interstellar Convention.

Customers who could afford it naturally chose to stay in lodging areas where the Tree of Life branches were displayed.

Of course, the cheaper rooms only had one branch, and the more expensive ones had more.

For top-tier rooms like Chen Yu's, Tree of Life branch potted plants could be seen all over the room.

Chen Yu had a comfortable night's stay.

The next morning, he planned to go to the eightieth floor for breakfast with Jagula and Kai.

However, as soon as he stepped out, Chen Yu saw a familiar figure—the Crow People.

Or rather, an accomplice of the Crow People.

"As expected, the Crow People, who like to act in groups, wouldn't come here to trade slaves alone," Chen Yu thought to himself, his brows furrowing slightly. "And with so many Crow People, there must be even more captured humans."

This was Chen Yu's greatest concern.

The Crow People's method of capturing humans was simple: they used a shrink ray to miniaturize humans, directly capture them, and then store them in glass boxes.

Chen Yu felt that the group of humans he had rescued was probably just one boxful of humans.

"What's wrong, Chen Yu?" Jagula noticed Chen Yu's unease and quickly asked.

"Jagula, have you been to the lowest floor?" Chen Yu didn't answer Jagula but stared at the Crow People and asked.

"The lowest floor… I heard that yesterday there was a conflict on the lowest floor, and a merchant was killed with a sword," Jagula replied.

"That person who killed the merchant was me," Chen Yu said.

"Huh?" Jagula and Kai were slightly startled and looked at Chen Yu in surprise.

"Why did you kill someone?" Kai asked in confusion. "Randomly killing lives at this Interstellar Convention isn't a good thing."

Chen Yu shook his head and explained to Kai, "Because the lowest floor is where slaves are traded, and the guy I killed was trading humans from Earth."

"What?!" Jagula and Kai were clearly shocked by this revelation.

"I've heard of slave trading, but generally, people don't trade captured beings from other planets, do they?" Jagula nodded and said, "Well done for killing him!"

"I just saw that guy's accomplices," Chen Yu said as he walked towards the teleportation elevator. "I think they captured more humans from Earth than just those few."

"Let's go take a look," Jagula instantly understood Chen Yu's intention and held the handle of his Serpent Heart Sword.

Chen Yu nodded, and they headed towards the elevator where the Crow People had disappeared.

At this time, those Crow People were probably going to the eightieth floor for breakfast.

Of course, they might also be going to the lowest floor to continue their "slave" trading.

Soon, Chen Yu and his companions reached the eightieth floor and immediately spotted a group of individuals with black crow heads and blood-red eyes.

This group of Crow People was slowly heading towards a restaurant, their demeanor quite confident.
