Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: The First Battle

The charging Zogu rushing towards him proved to be the perfect test stone for Chen Yu to adapt to his new body.

Guiding the power of light within him instinctively, Chen Yu swung his right arm, unleashing a barrage of small light arrows that struck the Zogu squarely in the head.

As he attempted to retract his hand, Chen Yu found that his palm continued to release light arrows uncontrollably.

"Oh no, I can't control it, I can't stop!" he panicked.

In desperation, Chen Yu aimed his palm at the Zogu, not letting the energy within him go to waste.

The resilient Zogu, enduring Chen Yu's barrage of light arrows, charged relentlessly.

Finally, just a punch away from Chen Yu, its head exploded with a resounding boom, and its body burst apart behind it.

Chen Yu finally sensed a way to stop the release of light arrows and halted their discharge.

Wiping the non-existent sweat from his forehead, Chen Yu wanted to breathe a sigh of relief, but Ultraman didn't have a mouth.

As the vanguard of darkness, Zogu's power was not to be underestimated, yet it was felled by Chen Yu's amateurish arrows.

With this Zogu dealt with, Chen Yu paid no attention to more Zogu flying in the sky, instead flying directly towards the South Pacific.

The black mist continued to spread, and if Chen Yu spent time dealing with the Zogu horde, humanity would soon be decimated by the mist's engulfment.

"Without the Transcendence Key for the Sky-Type Ultraman Tregear, I wonder if I can transform into a Sky-Type," he pondered.

Knowing that Ultraman Tregear's Sky-Type had extremely fast flight speed, Chen Yu entertained the idea of transforming into one.

Original plot required the Transcendence Key for transformation, but now...

"I used the Bronze God Light Rod for transformation, not the Victory God Light Rod. Maybe I can transform directly!" he realized.

With that thought, Chen Yu crossed his arms at the crystal on his forehead and then swept them down behind him.

In an instant, his color changed to silver-purple, his figure became more agile, and his head underwent slight alterations.

His ears appeared longer and sharper, resembling an elf.

With a sonic boom, Chen Yu transformed into a purple streak of light and disappeared into the North Pacific's sea surface.

...

At the TPC Marine Base, Victory Team Headquarters.

Everyone stared at the screen, astonished, as Ultraman Tregear appeared.

"Where did this Ultraman come from?" Yoshigang was the first to speak, voicing his confusion.

In fact, everyone saw a strong light at the end of the passage when Jukken Wei went to find Chen Yu, and then this Ultraman appeared in the sky outside the base.

Jukken Wei paused for a moment and said, "It's Chen Yu. He's gone to fight for us humans."

Although Jukken Wei was also puzzled why Chen Yu didn't transform to deal with Kilaldian earlier, now was not the time for such thoughts.

"Chen Yu..." Nierui said incredulously, "An Ultraman transformed by a human? And this Ultraman looks so much like Tregear!"

"If it weren't for the fact that Tregear is still lying there, I might have thought Tregear had been revived."

"It seems that besides having a similar appearance to Tregear, he also has the ability to change color and form like Tregear," Nierui analyzed the data detected on the screen. "After turning purple, his speed suddenly increased, and he headed straight for the South Pacific."

As he spoke, Nierui also brought up the image of Ultraman Tregear lying between the cities.

"So, will he also have a red-powered form like Tregear?" Shinkage Ichiro speculated.

"Very likely," said Soju, nodding. "But, since the Ultraman is made by humans, it is also likely that Ultraman Tregear was made by humans, right?"

When Soju finished speaking, Reina shivered and looked at the screen where Ultraman Tregear's lights had gone out.

Jukken Wei seemed to think of something too, looking at Reina and then at Ultraman Tregear on the screen.

"Reina, what's wrong?" Soju noticed that Reina seemed a little off and asked her.

"Nothing... I'm just worried about Daiko," Reina said, lowering her head and shaking it. "It's so dangerous outside, and Daiko is missing. I'm afraid he's in danger."

"Hahaha, Daiko is really lucky!" Shinkage Ichiro laughed to ease the atmosphere. "Every time we think Daiko is in trouble, this guy always laughs and waves back after the Ultraman defeats the monster..."

As he spoke, Shinkage Ichiro's voice became quieter, and the smile on his face gradually faded.

No matter how confident Shinkage Ichiro was, he couldn't help but connect two unlikely events.

Soju's eyes widened, and his expression was as astonished as everyone else's.

In the end, everyone's gaze fell on the spot where Ultraman Tregear had fallen on the screen.

"Every time there's danger, he always comes back safely in the end."

"Come to think of it, I've never seen Daiko meet Ultraman Tregear before."

"Daiko told me that when he was in danger a few times, it was Ultraman Tregear who saved him."

"..."

Silence, a dead silence.

Reina wiped away her tears, and Jukken Wei shook her head in disbelief.

Nierui looked at Ultraman Tregear on the screen with a mixture of surprise and complexity:

"So Daiko is Ultraman Tregear."

Yoshigang was somewhat bewildered by this sudden turn of events, never expecting Ultraman Tregear to be among the Victory Team, one of the team's members!

However, soon everyone's gaze was drawn to the ruins where Katan Jeel was located.

Because a silver-purple figure landed on the ruins and began to confront the ruler of darkness.

In the face of the evil god who released endless darkness, Chen Yu felt panicked.

After all, it was his first time experiencing a battle in Ultraman form, and his opponent was the renowned final boss, Katan Jeel.

Fortunately, Chen Yu's mental resilience was strong, and he suppressed his inner panic, facing the evil god with the identity of a giant of light.

Barrages of small light arrows quickly shot out from Chen Yu's palm, striking Katan Jeel's thick body.

Tiny sparks flew, and although they didn't cause any substantial damage to Katan Jeel, they caught his attention, causing him to stop the release of the black mist.

Opening its large mouth, Katan Jeel let out a roar, but did not launch an attack on Chen Yu, seemingly sizing him up.

Having clashed with Ultraman before thirty million times, Katan Jeel felt the Ultraman in front of him was somewhat familiar but also unfamiliar.

Chen Yu paid no heed to this and unleashed his maximum speed, engaging in close combat with Katan Jeel.

Like streaks of purple light, Chen Yu's fists and feet continuously attacked Katan Jeel's surroundings.
